There's much to love about North Greenville -- this is home to Paris Mountain State Park, Otter Creek Water Park, Furman University, and North Greenville University. It is also the location of some of the city's favorite golf clubs, such as Green Valley Country Club and Furman University Golf Club. North Greenville Hospital is also in the area.
North Greenville is situated between Sans Souci to the south and Traveler's Rest to the north. Residents appreciate easy access to the state park, which features hiking trails, mountain biking trails, camping, a lodge, canoeing, and kayaking. Poinsett Highway, which extends through North Greenville, provides fast access to downtown, which is only about five miles south.

Property Ratings at Palisades at Paris Mountain
Palisades at Paris Mountain should be renamed Palisades in Paradise because it is truly paradise living here. Our apartment is absolutely gorgeous (high ceilings, crown molding and gourmet kitchen) and we are in love with the amenities. ‘Grillaxin’ is our new vacay of choice. We don’t even feel the need to travel because the clubhouse, pool and gas grills are resort quality. Our evenings are topped off with a cocktail by the fire pit while watching the sunset. We feel like we live at a country club! Melissa and Adrian at the office are super helpful and responsive. If you’re in the Greenville market, there’s no nicer place to live.
The apartments are cheaply built and you can hear everything outside and everything above you. This is a college town and most of the residents are college students who enjoy partying late into the night. I can hear every step my upstairs neighbors make, I can hear them use the bathroom, I can hear them talk, I can hear their tv. Upon signing the lease, we specifically asked for a third floor apartment and we were told we could move into one either after 6 months or when one becomes available. There is a third floor apartment above us that has been vacant for months but they refuse to let us move into it. The maintenance and fire alarm tests are incredibly invasive and with little to no warning. Sometimes we will be notified that pest control will be in our apartments but they give vague time periods such as “Monday - Friday 9am-5pm”. So basically we can’t shower or do anything in privacy those weeks from 9am-5pm *just in case* someone comes barging through our door. When hurricane zeta hit, the apartment complex lost power for 4 days. And as soon as the power went out, manage my left and didn’t return. All of the residents were clueless about what to do or what to expect because there was no one here to answer questions. The gates have been broken the entire 7 months I’ve lived here. Someone’s motorcycle was recently stolen from the parking lot right outside my window. Management fixed the gates for a few days, but they are wide open yet again. Being a female that’s frequently home alone on the first floor, this is alarming. Also, the “no smoking policy” is bogus. Tons of people smoke here and leave their nasty cigarette butts in the lawns. There’s also dog poop everywhere. The residents don’t care about cleanliness and neither does management. I can’t say it enough. Save your money, and move elsewhere. This place is a nightmare and I can’t wait to leave.
We’ve just moved in and couldn’t love it more! Everyone has been kind and helpful. Our apartment view is fantastic! Everything was in perfect shape when we moved in.Love It!!!!!!!!
New management - No one suggests moving here now. We all miss The Enclave. Need for overnight security now which they will not hire, and this used to not be the case. The maintenance man Guy, is the best thing for this place. He actually cares and wants to do his job to the best of his ability. Other than that this place has done nothing but go downhill. I feel like I live in the slums now when I originally moved into the upper class Enclave. You work for a living to pay the large amount they require for rent but they decide to close the pool at 6pm because that’s when they go home. So most people will not be able to use the main amenity this place offers. It’s also totally closed on Sunday’s so you better get to the pool the 1 time per week it is available for you. Oh, but it was closed for over 4 weeks because the other issue of people getting drunk and throwing the pool filter like a frisbee and breaking it is not addressed. If you want to sleep and feel safe, forget it don’t come here. The fire pits here have no open and close hours so you get to experience other people’s Drunken Fist Fights first hand! You get to hear the screaming and yelling, the running up and down the wooden apartment steps in the middle of the night, and then you get to clean up the broken glass bottles that were thrown, and laying in front of your door the next morning! Then the excitement of worrying about the possibility of retaliation because according to management it’s YOUR responsibility to call the police to address! If you want to get drunk and act a fool this is the place for you!!! If you are looking for a safe and quiet living environment this is not what you are looking for so keep scrolling.
I have lived here for over 2 1/2 years and absolutely love it. The staff is always so helpful and friendly; the lawns are well maintained; beautiful apartments in Phase I and Phase II; animal friendly; beautiful pools and gyms -- and the list goes on and on. Residents are also friendly and I plan on staying here until my kids put me in a nursing home with my cards and poker chips lol! You will love it too so come on out!!!!
