I’m gonna try and be fair with an honest review. I understand these apartments are a little older, but the wear really shows inside. Only been here 3 months and have had 3 major issues. My first week here the ceiling started leaking in the bathroom. Next came a very bad pest infestation(not sure what kind of bugs) crawling all over the bathroom and kitchen. Now the a/c has stopped working. The maintenance people did fix the first two issues within a few days to be fair. I would recommend to do your research before moving here. I wouldn’t recommend moving into these apartments.

All employees are nice, maintenance is quick, the grounds are beautiful and its the biggest space for the price that I have found! Pools are clean and there are garages available and trash pickup. Cant complain! Low key quiet place kind of tucked away.

The gates are always broken and the maintenance people don’t know what their doing. My air conditioner has been broken several times within 3 months. The property manager is careless and doesn’t care about the residents. I asked for a reduction and rent and it wasn’t given. My ac has been worked on all week and it brakes every day. I’m hot and I’m tired.

I moved here for the gated community, the heated pools and the jacuzzi! In the last 12 months, I have been lucky if any of them worked, in 2 months! Office Staff seems to think if they fixed it all, they would have to raise our rent!

The office staff is rude. The manager is even more rude. Appliances are constantly breaking and have to have maintenance come in to fix something almost once a week, no joke. I'm looking to find a new apartment and break my lease because I'm over it.
These are great apartments! The well constructed buildings and the large floor plans are thoughtfully designed so that I never hear my neighbors. Management is responsive and friendly, and maintenance requests are handled same day or the very next morning. The grounds and amenities are clean and well maintained. I am about to relocate for work and the worst part is giving up this apartment!
While I was a tenant it was fine. After I moved out they charged me for changing the carpet. They stated the carpet was new when I moved in. I showed them the walk through report I did when I moved in and it called out stains on the carpet. Roxanne in the office told me at that time not to worry about it. Here it is 2 years later and credit reporting agency is trying to collect money for them. They told me to come in. Like they haven't caused enough grief in my life. My credit is messed up. I went to the office and the only thing they were interested in was my current address. I told them all including Roxanne, who was there, how I already showed proof the carpet was not new to Roxanne. I asked Roxanne why she didn't take care of it. She stood there and didn't say a word. While all the time Trish, the manager, treated me like a criminal. The office staff is horribly irresponsible. The turnover in the office is high.
I recently moved into a two bedroom two bath Carmel unit. The apartment is very spacious. The office staff and maintenance team are excellent. The grounds are well kept and the complex is centrally located to shopping , restaurants and the airport. I am extremely happy and highly recommend The Palms of Monterrey.
The leasing office is very unorganized. We received a notice today (August 23rd) stating that someone will need access in our apartments tomorrow. The notice has the date of August 18th at the top. So, these were typed up 5 days ago and no one thought it'd be nice to give us more notice? The letter says to "have your animals locked up, and or taken out of your apartment" for the inspection. So now I have less than 24 hours to figure out what to do with my dog tomorrow. I'm probably going to have to lock her up in her kennel. A 50lb dog stuck in a tiny kennel ALL DAY. If I had been given proper notice, I could have arranged for someone to take her or for me to have the day off work. This is very unprofessional on the part of our property management but that doesn't surprise me. Every interaction I've had with the main property manager has been bad. She is extremely rude and shouldn't be in a position where she has human interaction. This place overpriced. On top of rent, they will also tack on a ridiculous charge for water use (apparently I use $100 worth of water each month in my 1 bedroom apartment). They also charge for valet trash collection, which doesn't even pick up every day. For how expensive this place is, you'd expect more professionalism from the property manager. I'm very disappointed ... Oh and the gates to get in are broken all the time. There is no point in having security gates if they are stuck open more often than not. Seriously, it's a joke.
We just moved in and I have to say it was spottless. We didn't need to clean anything. It was an easy move. The view is amazing from our lanai. I haven't heard any neighbors while inside our apartment. And Everyone has been so nice from our neighbors to the ladies in the office. I'm am so glad we moved here
People need to have there facts straight, as well as the news. The teen lost his cell phone didn't want to get in trouble and made up the story! Great community....not going down hill! LOL!
The Palms of Monterrey is a very safe community to live in. May I suggest that the person or family that posted that message may know than they want to share about the issue mentioned. I know of a great moving company that can help you get out and go to a safer neighborhood. Palms of Monterrey is my home and I am offended by your comments. Try down the street at Harlem Heights maybe!
We been here going on 5 years and love it here we feel every day like we are on vacation. Office people are so pleasant and maintenance come as soon as they get a work order.
The community is amazing. The pool and facilities are kept up very well. Staff are extremely responsive to any questions or concerns. Apartments are spacious and we haven't heard any noise from other apartments. It's like living in a resort in paradise!
