Property Ratings at Palo Alto Plaza Apartments
I'm a current resident and I am suffering here DAY AND NIGHT. During the day, I literally feel them hammering and drilling - all thanks to the paper-thin walls and their inconsiderate renovations in some of their units. Seriously, the walls here are paper-thin - thickness of a single wood slate - and you can hear EVERYTHING. Plus, because the walls are so thin, you can FEEL everything as well - the building SHUDDERS every time someone closes the door. Oh, and this is only during the day. Now during the NIGHT, if you're so unlucky as I am, and you have a particularly active neighbor upstairs who likes to pace around the living room at night - you are submitting yourself to experiencing mini-earthquakes on a daily basis. And this is SO BAD because the walls are so freakishly thin, my apartment shakes and I can hear the CREAKING sound with it. I've spoken with the management here MULTIPLE TIMES and they've dismissed my complaints, basically saying they're "reasonable" and that this type of noise cannot be avoided in old communal buildings. They're UNHELPFUL, DISMISSIVE. They've treated me like a hyper-sensitive freak, and basically told me to "get over it." I've honestly NEVER given a bad review to any of the other places I've lived at - and I've been in the Bay Area for a decade. DO NOT COME HERE - you're giving up any peace and quiet and comfort you would rightly deserve with the rent prices around here.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts of Palo Alto Plaza. We do understand that many residents are now working from home and the apartment renovation projects can have an impact on those who may need a quieter work environment. As management stated, work does need to continue so we can prepare apartment homes for the new incoming residents. While noise cannot be completely avoided with this type of remodeling, we are limiting it as much as possible by working only during business hours, and making sure that the workers are as unobtrusive as possible while doing the needed work. Palo Alto Plaza is a beautiful community with lush gardens, modern apartment features, excellent amenities and dedicated management. However, that does not change the fact that it is an apartment community, which by its very nature means that there are many living in close proximity to each other. It also means that a certain level of noise is to be expected. While we gladly address excessive and/or inappropriate noise, every resident has a right to enjoyment of their apartment, and we cannot limit the normal day-to-day activities of either you or your neighbors. That being said, I would still encourage you to contact the leasing office if you are ever disturbed by excessive or inappropriate noise. I regret to hear that you had some plumbing issues in your apartment home recently. While living in an apartment building with multiples floors, at times you may experience a back-up. I strongly encourage you to reach out to the leasing office so that this problem can be inspected and repaired fully to ensure it is not a consistent issue. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns, and please do not hesitate to contact Bryan in the leasing office if you have any other topics to discuss.
We lived in Palo Alto Plaza for a year before moving out of state, and totally loved the place! They are great at using the space, with no dead space in rooms. So we felt the rooms were more spacious than the square feet shows. They are good at using colors and furniture in common areas and design the areas comfortably. We especially loved the hub and the gym. And more than anything, the management and the maintenance teams are exceptionally great. They were friendly and responsible from day one and throughout our living there, which made us feel at home always. They are quick in responding to whatever maintenance requests, and thus we have never experienced any issue. I have never seen such a great team who make the residents feel so comfortable like they do. If I will be back in the area again, I will definitely go back to Palo Alto Plaza. It is the very best apartment we've ever lived in!

Thank you taking the time to write a detailed review of Palo Alto Plaza! We are ecstatic to hear the on site staff made you feel at home during your stay.
Not worth the luxury price you pay. Walls are so think you can hear every conversation of your neighbors and constant stomping from your neighbor above.

I regret to hear that you are not having a pleasant experience at Palo Alto Plaza. While living within a multifamily unit there is a certain expectation that at times you may hear your neighbors. Unfortunately, everyone’s level of noise sensitivity and dislikes can vary. The on-site leasing office is always available to discuss noise issues and help find a resolution to any complains made, especially about stomping. Thank you for allowing us to address your concerns.
I had been to US couple of times before (back in 2006 and 2009) but fortunately my accommodation was taken care by my employer. This is the first time I had to look for an apartment for rent. Unfortunately due to summer season and recent rental appreciation in the market, finding an apartment in Silicon valley had become really difficult but finally I found an apartment within my budget to my satisfactory i.e. "PALO ALTO PLAZA". It's a medium size community close to 120 families living. This community is located walking distance to many places. Here are few highlights. within community: 1. Round the clock security (all gates, elevators, common entries, etc) 2. All apartments are newly remodeled 3. have swimming pool and spa (always clean) 4. Gym with world class fitness equipments 5. unlike other apartments we have "mini golf court" in this apartment and staff will provide the play kit to spend time with your family 6. It has got BBQ and dining tables wherein you can invite your friends and relatives for BBQ and enjoy your time. 7. Friendly staff and always ready to help 8. care for society (first "turf reduction" program is being implemented) Outside community: 1. Walking distance to "El Camino Real" 2. Safeway, CVS, Walmart, Target are couple of hundred meters away. 3. have kids park in walking distance 4. 1 mile to "central express" highway and couple of miles away from US 101 5. close to "cal train" station 6. Close to great restaurants. especially couple of miles away from "Calfornia ave" which is famous for various types of restaurants. If you are a person like me looking for above features then probably PALO ALTO PLAZA would be your destination. Bala, Mountain View, CA
