Property Ratings at Palomar West
The management and staff at these apartments are beyond rude and disrespectful for no reason. The manager is a nightmare to deal with even for very basic things.

Thanks for this review. We're sorry to hear that you've received lackluster service as this is certainly not the experience we want for our residents. Please reach out at ryanscrossing@anterra.com so that we can offer our assistance.
We were residents for about 5 months and already looking to leave the complex due to management. We were only asking for information and twice we had the same manger explode on us, gave us attitude and as well took matters to a personal level of unprofessionalism. Don’t recommend this complex for first timers looking for their first apartment, management lacks patience’s and understanding for newcomers.
When the previous mgmt was here this place was beautiful now lights are broken, sprinkler heads are broken eroding the ground. Trees are dying so is the grass. Don't believe me drive by come look at the disaster. This place is now an eyesore. AC was out and took forever to get them to fix it and by forever I mean days. This new mgmt took such a beautiful place and destroyed it just to save a few bucks. Such a shame.
Go to other place, Ryan's it's not worth it. You better look for an apartment complex where the pool is not salted, there is not refrigerated A/C, and the neighbors are not respectful. I have never been so happy in my life as when my lease ended!!! I hate moving but....that's why I decided to move. Even my fiends when were at my apartment could felt the noises next to me and they told me to move. Ryan's is located in a nice area with stores and restaurants, lots of trees, but it's not worth it...I just remember the pup, the salted water in the pool and the neighbours. Once, I found a piece of dog pup in my balcony. Now I am in a place where people respects others, the manager cares about our needs, and talks to all of us like a friend.
The apartments have swamp coolers. Management is unfriendly and they just care about the payments u do.
I would let my worst enemy rent at this location. I moved in the 27th of October 2017 they told me that my lease was up on the 27th of October 2018. I paid the rent until the 1st of November 2018. The management entered the apartment on October 26th without notifying me in advance. They charge me $75 for some marks on the wall. Even though they paint the entire apartment every time a resident moved out, They also failed to notify me about a package that was delivered after I had moved out. Even though they had my cell and work number. The toilet always smelled like raw sewage and it would take 3, 4, 5 or more times for toilet to flush completely.

Since I’ve lived there I have not had an issue that could not be resolved in a prompt manner. My a/c gave out Friday night, it was working the very next day. Management has been nothin but helpful. The chief in charge is firm but fair. Linda is good at what she does. Never had any over charges. Or mysterious charges. Great place. Don’t believe the negativity.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Ryan's Crossing. We're happy we could meet your expectations! Thank you, and have a fantastic day! Ryan's Crossing Management
I've lived at Ryans Crossing for about a year already, and just renewed for another year. Great staff, the manager and her assistant are amazing, any time I have an issue or concern, they put me at ease and resolve all my issues. Maintenance staff is very timely, any maintenance requests I've submitted have been taken care of that same day. Doing business with Ryans Crossing has been extremely easy as compared to other places I've lived at. Definitely recommend living here, oh yea, and you get money for referring your friends to live here!
Horrible unprofessional worst management I have ever seen no one that I know that has lived there has ever had anything good to say was told everything looked good when I left then got a bill for almost a months rent do to "cleaning" that I missed when I left even tho it looked better when I moved in the manager called my wife a liar when I went in to discuss a problem in that they had in the court yard in which 2 other people witnessed and had to leave the office and call corporate because of how unprofessional she handled it. Corporate sided with me and apologized for The whole thing... would only recommend this place to someone I truly despised
I lived there for 11 months and the whole time I had issues with the front office. The employees in the office, especially Christina, are extremely rude. They charge for the most ridiculous things and they will try to trick you into paying for the same item multiple times. They called to tell me I needed to pay a penalty for not cleaning after my pet. I cleaned after my dog EVERY TIME. They had no proof of this claim yet still threatened to send me to collections if I refused to pay the $50 penalty. My husband walked down to the office later on that day and asked Linda (the manager) for an explanation. She acted like she was doing us a favor by waving that fee... a fee which we did not deserve. Also, if you call the front office the recording will give you two options: Press 1 if you are future resident, Press 2 if you are a current resident. If you press 2 they will not answer the phone. But if you call and press 1 they will answer right away. This was the case every single time my neighbors and I tried to call the office. So keep that in mind. They stop caring about you the second you sign the contract.
To be fair the maintenance staff...Especially Jose and Manny...are GREAT. They are friendly, professional and fast workers. BUT the ladies in the front office are the worst. They require you to give a 60 day notice before the move out date, like other places do...but when i walked in, giving them a 30 days notice (due to government transfer orders) Christina, the manager's assistant, gave me attitude and tried to deny my husband's military orders. She threatened to send me to collections if i was not willing to pay for a whole other month in order to complete the 60 days required. (They clearly state in their contract that military residents are omitted from this requirement). Once I brought that up she dropped her argument. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. They will try to charge you for things that sont make sense. Keep an eye on what you've paid for and what you're entitled to.
Yes, the scenery is nice but the staff in the front office is not worth dealing with. Linda (the manager of the establishment) and Christina (her assistant) are extremely unprofessional. As I was walking around in the court yard I caught Linda telling a resident off because he asked her why he was being charged a penalty of $75. She yelled at him that his wife was a liar. Regardless of the issue that is no way to treat a costumer. She also made up a story that my neighbor's dog was aggressive and that there had been complaints reported. He asked to see the reports to try and correct the issue. She refused to give them to him. He called her supervisor and her supervisor admitted that she had lied about the reports. Nothing was on file and there were no complaimts. Christina, on multiple occasions, threatened to send me to collections because i complained that I was being charged twice for the same bill (one which I had already paid just a few weeks before then). She also lied about putting notices and messages up on our door on multiple occasions. Oh, and someone in the front office opened my mail. A letter which clearly stated my name and apartment number. They called me down to the office to hand me the opened letter and "apologize for the miscommunocation" ...yeah, a miscommunication which involved my full name and address. If my comments haven't turned you away I would at least recommend you to keep a close eye on the payments you've made. I guarantee that they'll try to charge you for things you've already paid for.
Management and office staff is absolutely horrible. All they do is attack you for money and constantly will increase your rent or tack on charges. Never in my life have I been so mistreated and disrespected by an apartment management. I have noticed on other reviews that this is a common situation. Worst experience of my life. Do not live here.
Julie from Ryan's crossing is amazing. She was such a great resource and full of knowledge about the apartment complex and things to do in the local area. She expertly provided information to questions I wanted to ask, before I even asked them. I'm not entirely sure how she did it, but Julie quickly disarmed my anxieties about apartment shopping and having to move. It became very clear that she is a consummate professional. Ryan's crossing is perfectly situated near everything you could ever want. I can't wait until my current lease is up, so that I can become part of the Ryan's crossing family. The apartments are immaculate and well taken care of. I can't wait to move here. only a few more months left and my dream will become a reality.
I just moved in a few weeks ago, and I really like it so far. The rooms are nicely sized. I could easily fit all of my furniture in them. There are tons of cabinets in the kitchen. The walk-in closet in the bedroom is a big plus. I wish there was another closet for storage, but it's not necessary. I have a balcony, which is really nice to use in the afternoon/evening. The complex is clean. The pool and gym are really nice. They also have a laundry facility. I opted to get my own washer and dryer (hookups are provided in unit). Parking is always easy to find, and it's close to my building. The only complaint I have is that I can't control the temperature for my air conditioning; it's either on or off. I've adapted to it since I moved in, but there's definitely an adjustment period. Otherwise I'm very happy with my apartment. I can see myself living here for several years.
Front office is nice, maintenance is on point, everyone remembers who you are. They do have some ridiculous rules but overall a nice place to live.
