Property Ratings at Paragon Plantation
The place is very terrible. The conditions are deplorable due to lack of maintenance and care for the units.I’ve had 3 Rats in my unit in the past two months. Two were found dead and Right now I am currently living with one huge rat that I have to live with until they send pest control. Please do not rent here.!!!!!
I recently moved into Paragon Plantation. The units are very nice and clean, quiet, family oriented, and easy access to all major highways, malls, and food stores. The new management is very friendly, and they are making every possible effort to keep their tenants happy. I really appreciate Evelyn for assisting me through the process and going above and beyond. The maintenance crew is amazing. The grounds are beautiful. Would definitely recommend Paragon Plantation.
What an awful complex. The front office is a joke. Can’t contact them for repairs or issues. Takes forever to have a maintenance man to come to your unit for any type of repair. Parking is a mess. Not enough parking spaces. Parking decals are not inforced. 90% of the time the front gate is out of commission allowing anyone to enter. Key fobs were purchased for gate entry but apparently not all residents needed to buy them because they just tailgate you once the gate is open. DO NOT MOVE IN, RENT or BUY. Worst complex I’ve ever experienced.
“Investigate before moving here” I'm regretting my move here after 30 days The property is not secure it is gated at the entrance however it is not fenced and totally open from cleary blvd. The appliancees are old not energy efficient The environment is unkept, there is a total lack of adequate parking do not have any guest you cannot park on the street your vehicle will be towed Do not expect Expect any service I m here one month still waiting for a dish washer that works. Took two weeks to have the gate code sync with my phone 2 weeks to get a working washing machine. The only good thing about paragon is the location in midtown plantation.
Changes started when the property was bought up by a new company. On that day, tenants kissed major "luxuries" goodbye like pest control spraying, access to a kid's playground, maintenance help, etc. Last year when we were under hurricane warning management never helped anyone prepare. The night before landfall - ONE night before - the maintenance guys passed around handing people galvanize shutters to install by ourselves even though we live on the second and third floors with no way to reach our windows. There was a single mother with four kids who came home from work - also living on the third floor - who never even got shutters and management didn't care, they just went home. Parking is a mess. Even if you're a one car household, you cannot be guaranteed parking. In fact, you may have to park across the street in the Publix parking lot and pray you're not towed. I've had to do that before especially when they decided to repave the driveways without giving tenants prior notice. Another time when they didn't give us adequate prior notice? When they decided to rip up our carpet and tile it. We spent three days breathing in a large amount of dust while trying to communicate with the Spanish-speaking labors that management employed and cleaning up after them. Then this other guy comes in claiming that he was redoing the kitchen countertops which we've spent over a year waiting to be finished. Now today my family woke up to no water in the house at all. I called the office and was told that there was a broken pipe that they were working to fix and they promised to have us with water soon. Then tonight, even though we've been home all day without being able to shower, cook, wash, use the restroom, even though they have our phone numbers and other contact information, they tape a notice on our door saying that we won't have water restored until the end of day TOMORROW. And guess what, if it's not, we have no one to complain to since there's no one to speak to given the office is closed on weekends. If you can help it, STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX.
We have been living here almost 2 years. The customer service and responsiveness of the staff is extremely good. Yes, problems arise from time to time. However, this is normal with any apartment rental and those problems are addressed in a very professional manner.. The management makes every possible effort to keep their tenants happy. Everything here is centrally located. As a result, Paragon Plantation is a prime location to live!
This is a great community with a very friendly office staff. I would definitely recommend this community if you are looking for a great price and size apartment.
Beautiful grounds and fairly spacious for the price. Nice gated community. Pet friendly, all the neighbors are quiet and polite.
Paragon is in one of the greatest cities in South Florida. It is so quiet and peaceful here. Everyone is very friendly and nice. The property is gorgeous! The apartments are beautiful! Even so more now that they are tiling all the floors. The staff is very friendly and they really care about the tenants. When an issue arises, they always do their best to solve it so we are happy. They gave us all a Thanksgiving card with a chocolate in it. That was heart warming. The supermarket and restaurants are across the street. Paragon is very close to 595, I-75 and I-95. It is virtually close to everything and yet it is very private and quiet. Central Park is at walking distance. There is a beautiful lake that you can walk around and ride the bike. I love living in Paragon. I would highly recommend it! Visit and you will fall in love!
From the start of us enquiring into a possible residence at Paragon Plantation, the "resident manager" BW made disparaging remarks about the landlord (e.g. "He is a foreigner & doesn't really know anything about how to operate in this country"; etc) & basically blaming him for every shortfall in her performance. Where to begin as far as enumerating the problems with Paragon Plantation? What we experienced: filthy, mildewy, moldy, nauseating, sneeze-causing, cough-causing, health-concerns-causing AC ventilation system; problematic doors; plumbing problems, certain of which caused flooding down on the neighbors immediately beneath -- through an improperly installed toilet & through a bowing-forward dishwasher; water-leaking refrigerator; outdated, rusty clothes washer & dryer which we were told on the initial walkthroughs were going to be replaced by new ones (never happened) but, several times inoperable, even smoking, resulted in many trips to the laundromat; the tilers so inept & negligent that they left dangerous things & debris in the unit, including a razor blade which they had used to cut up carpeting & which our little son found & accidentally cut himself with; old coil-burner stove with rusty drip-pans; supposedly "gated community" while gates wide open for well over a month with not even the courtesy of an explanation; a garage that was discovered by us to be damaged within days of us moving in & the keypad code changed & it being labeled vandalism by the "resident manager"; constant parking of vehicles directly in front of garage associated with the unit; & many, many more disheartening & stressful things! Add to all that the obnoxious, caustic, dishonest "resident manager"! And to "add insult to injury," not only has she sought to use the property management company APM to keep our $1,750 security deposit, but she fabricated "CLEANING" for "$85" & "WALL REPAIR AND PAINTING" for "$150." We cleaned the Unit 209, Building 3 cleaner than it was handed to us, even swept up all the dust & debris the tilers left behind claiming they were "done." Moreover, the unit was "painted" just before our occupancy & there's the fact that she was very vocal about not liking the paint job that was done by the guy she had hired to do it before our occupancy. We definitely dispute the claims of this dishonest, inept "resident manager." Rent? Higher than worth it! Do yourself a favor & avoid Paragon Plantation like you would a radioactive dumpsite!
Property Manager at Paragon Plantation, Responded To This Review
This is bitterness from a person that was told to leave Paragon due to causing many conflicts with neighbors, staff, and vendors as his poor comments reflects. It is sad how some people don't know how to live in a decent community. All our residents are very happy and don't want to leave Paragon. We cleaned up the house and now all our residents are just awesome! We also love the Paragon owners because they are always looking for a way to make our residents happy by constantly improving the property.
So where do I begin with telling of Paragon Plantation? I should perhaps start by saying that, if I could have given "zero star," I'd have! Perhaps I can. It's a complex matter, for we are in one unit of many units the owner has in here & then most of the rest, I suppose, are belonging to the association's main managing company Castle Group. But we were of the impression that it was a commercial owner we were dealing with & not a private owner situation, us not realizing until we were in the situation. We've never met the owner, but have been dealing with the "resident manager" whose unprofessional & simply unbelievable negative behaviors are too much to tell here! Only be forewarned that she will be like honey to get you in here & once you are in here---! Apartments.com is looking for reviews, &if similar to what I'll tell here had before by somebody else been posted here & we'd happened upon it, we'd have been spared the incredible headaches, losses, etc, we experience now, after a mere day of being here! Yes, you heard right! From after not even being here for a week! Other problems? Here first is a bit of relevant advice that'll spare you from headaches & heartaches we unfortunately didn't escape! Don't ever look at a place that's occupied & set your heart upon it, for you can't really see it more for what it is until it's vacant! You're likely to miss very concerning problems blocked from view by the occupation already there. Next don't move in on mere promises that things'll be fixed or replaced --wait until they are or look elsewhere! Want to Washing machine didn't work properly upon us moving in & was incredibly visibly rusting down like the dryer! We were initially promised these appliances would be new --never happened! Replacements, but old & after much pleading! Fridge (leaked water) &stove outdated! Dishwasher unachored! AC system is foul with mildew &/or mold & dust--very taxing on energy &on health! The carpeting was filthy &,with much prodding, finally the tiles promised! But they had to mess up much in the process! One thing they did was leave behind a long double-edged dirty razor blade that our little son cut his hands on! (Nails in wood & screws prior this!) The two toilets became out of commission, one raining water on the neighbor beneath! Someone vandalized the garage! Issues with doors! Forget getting "12 Hour Notice to Enter"; if ever, no specified time! Great area, but not enjoyed in here! Want to move!
I sold my house in Sunrise after my divorce. I knew I needed to rent an apartment but l had no idea what was out there to suit my needs. I narrowed my search to a townhouse in Sunrise and Plantation. Paragon was one of the first places to pop up in my search. As soon as I saw Paragon of Planatation and looked inside the unit, my mind was made up. The place is clean, quiet, family oriented, and convenient to major highways, malls, and food stores. The amenities such as the pool and gym are nice, including the park which is in walking distance from the complex. I've been here for a year and I'm renewing for another year. Would definitely recommend Paragon of Plsntation as a hidden treasure.
Paragon Plantation is in a wonderful neighborhood. You wont have any problems with your personal items being stolen or destroyed. With the new management, they have really improvedwith how they handle things unlike the old managament. Parking here is crazy. You will be lucky if you could find parking. Although they have tried to handle the parking situation by assigning parking, it is still a problem over here. The staff are wonderful and amazing. They work with you like you are family. And if anyting goes wrong, they try to get it done on time. The only thing is the rent. Rent is too high here anf it is not worth it. The pool is always dirty, they dont pick the trash up sometimes, and too many trees. I love it here because it is home and I am safe here.
