Property Ratings at Parc at 1875
Shootouts, car break ins, moldy units, gate hasn’t worked in a couple of years, pool is never clean or usable, gym equipment doesn’t work and the trash compactor overflows.
I’ve lived here for two years and I’ve had many problems. I’ve tried sticking it out because I’m a college student and new to the Atlanta area. I had roaches when I first moved in and I’m a very clean person. They claim the roaches come from the woods and other residents. My shower has had mildew growing and maintenance comes and spray paints just for the mildew to grow right back. They’ve done this like 7/8 times. The air stops working in the summer and heat stops in the winter. It’s not so bad but I can’t deal with the mildew and bugs. I’m moving out this year.
I viewed the property about a month ago. Nothing special. Looked like they just painted over the cabinets. I did not see any bugs or anything but i did like the floors. I was going to actually lease from the property but i called the leasing consultant i worked with and explained i would see her on Friday and she kept placing me on hold. The longest i waited was 15 minutes. I'd hang up and call back and she would not even remember who i was and place me on hold again. After that i thought to myself. What if i was a resident with an issue? Would i get the same run around? I could understand if the young lady last name "Bussie" would have written my name and number down and got back to me about the questions i had. But no. So instead i found an even nicer place for a few more dollars in Union City. Thanks for the poor customer service.
The only good thing I can say about this place is how close it is to the airport. I have been here under 2 years and have had 3 different management companies, each doing the bare minimum to this place. The newest company painted the buildings, remodeled their office and raised the rent! The pool is unusable most of the time and has even been closed by the health department. I constantly have to go into the office to have things fixed and no one ever comes out within a reasonable amount of time. It has been twenty five days since we requested the damage, from a leak from above our unit, be fixed. The clock continues to tick. The playground equipment was brand new last summer and was a nice addition, however, due to the lack of care/concern of management and parents, it is now in shambles. Supports are leaning, safety railings are missing, nails and screws exposed and there is graffiti everywhere. There is garbage everywhere, though maintenance does clean it up when they can, but that doesn't prevent other residents from being careless and unmindful of other members of the community. Gunfire, within the complex, at twelve midnight on New Years was a real treat. Overall, it's a mediocre place to live if you don't spend time here.
I have visited this community and I get a good vibe. The management was awesome at working with me while I rebuild my life. The office is really nice and the staff was very pleasant. I spoke with a maintenance man and he even said he liked living there. The rooms are spacious and clean, I did not see any signs of bugs, mildew, or any of that. I am ready to move and definantly pay a more reasonable price for rent for the next year until its time for me to buy my new home. I do plan on getting an alarm but things look like they are and have really turned the place around. I did not see anyone standing around hanging out, no broken down cars or messy outside areas. I have driven through on multuple occasions and I get the same vibe morning noon, but the gate is down at night but it still looked peaceful. The Old National and Godby area is rebuilding so people have to be mindful of where you are.
My family and I moved in and it was the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER ! Not only did they accuse us of things that weren't true they also accused my neighbors of saying these things. The maintenance crew is slow and don't perform a good job AT ALL! I would've been better off fixing things myself. After living here for 2 months our lease was terminated for an act of another neighbor. ONCE AGAIN ... ACCUSING US OF UNTRUE THINGS. They never tried to investigate the problem or hear what we had to say. because we were fed up with this staff we were actually glad to leave, but before we were able to move our items were THROWN IN THE TRASH ! ... That poor excuse of a manager Donna is very unprofessional along with her staff member Janet and they basically had nothing to say about what happen to my property. I am very upset and would never recommend them to ANYONE !!
