Property Ratings at Park at City Center
We lived here for a few years. During that time, the front office staff changed over several times. We had the same negative experience others have complained about at move-out. If you’re expecting your full security deposit back, forget about it. Subjective interpretation of excess cleaning charges, lack of clear communication, lack of upfront transparency and disclosures. We cleaned our unit as well as any tenants would - carpets vacuumed with a Dyson, countertops wiped spotless with Clorox, hardwood floors swept, mopped, and steam-mopped with a Bissell. Overhead fan blades and baseboards dusted. Toilets and showers cleaned. Every shelf and appliance cleaned. You would not believe the standard they hold residents too - unprecedented, if not borderline illegal/unprofessional. If we had known they were going to hire professional cleaners AND charge us the full amount to clean the unit for the next tenant (legally questionable when not explicitly disclosed in advance), we wouldn’t have wasted our time. Take your business elsewhere if you have a choice and rent from a more reputable organization with a better track record of not nickel-and-dining tenants on their way out the door.

Our goal is to provide the best service for our residents, which is why we also explain all the costs and policies upfront. We also strive our best to provide good communication. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. This is the first review I’ve ever written because of how irritated I am at Park at City Center. Ever since we decided to move out after they raised rent more than $200 we were treated poorly. I don’t know where to start but if you don’t want to be suckered and lied to DO NOT live here. Everything looks great out the outside but everything came tumbling down when we moved out. We were great tenants, never missed rent no noise complaints, non smokers. So let’s start with the front office staff, they need conflict resolution training and need to act like human beings. There was NO move out checklist so we did what is typically done at apartments, deep clean it and move out just like how we found it. We were charged $50 because we didn’t turn in our parking sticker. We moved out on a Saturday, and were not told they needed that. Once we were told they needed it on a Tuesday we changed our work schedules just to turn it in, upon turning it in on a Friday we were met with a rude staff member who told us we’d be charged for the parking tag. Even more we now owe them $400 because they say they say it costs $300 to paint the whole apartment and are charging $250 for some nails in the wall. When I say we left the place extremely clean we did because we used the apartment cleaning service and paid them to deep clean it. Our deposit was nearly $700 AND THEY WIPED IT CLEAN. They want $400 MORE DOLLARS. It’s unfathomable how rude we were treated and how greedy these people are. I am going to file the process with the Better Business Bureau because it is disgusting how we were treated and now we owe them a large amount of money for very minimal damages. They included low resolution pictures of the damages that aren’t even noticeable. We are workaholics and spend minimal time in the apartment and we have no pets. I write this post to anyone out there looking to live here, take this review seriously. DO NOT LIVE HERE. The place seems fine, but wait til you move out. For any staff reading this, have you seen the cost of living in Utah? Do you know how hard it is to make a living? Do you have a heart? Be a decent human being.

While we appreciate all feedback, we are disappointed to read these false claims about our team and this situation. We would be happy to clear up some of this. The move-out checklist and charge list is part of the notice to vacate documents that were provided to us with everything clearly listed. Our team requests move out walkthroughs to be scheduled through our team, and we did not receive a request to walkthrough during your move out. Upon inspection of your apartment after your move out, the unit was not cleaned properly. And as for the final account statement, we mail it and digital copies of the pictures can always be sent via email if requested. If you would like to further discuss this situation, or if you have any questions about how things are done on our end, please reach out to us directly and we will be happy to clear them up for you. Thank you and have a great day.
The place is new and has great amenities. A nice parking garage and the apartments are modern and super nice. The pool and spa are awesome, if they are open. The management on the other hand is terrible. They seem to be ready to make their residents want to leave. They are ready to fine you for the dumbest things. They are unwilling to work with residents when their is an issue.

We would have saved so much hassle and headache if we had taken the time to check out all the reviews before getting trapped in a nightmare lease. They charge for LIGHTBULBS! Getting a lightbulb replaced never cost money at any of our last apartments. It seems here that any maintenance call gets a charge billed to your monthly bill. The common area fees are outrageous and we are sick of having every last dime sucked out of us ON TOP of the exorbitant monthly rent. The amenity fee, internet fee, parking fee, lightbulb fee, clubhouse light/water/gas fee, and we were required to purchase insurance through the building. No insurance company will allow residents to get insurance for just our belongings. So my husband and I are forced to pay for a full renters insurance policy IN ADDITION to the renters insurance policy being charged through the apartment building to boost their bottom line. As soon as our lease is up, we are OUT OF THIS PLACE. Too many more options that won't suck every last penny from you. We will certainly avoid any Keller properties in the future.

Hey there! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate any feedback we receive as it's a great way to gain unbiased insight on how we're doing. It's fantastic to know that you had a positive experience at our community! -The Team at Park at City Center
We could have saved so much more money if we stuck with our last apartment. The rent and added fees here are not worth it. It's like they are going broke and are desperate to get every little bit of money they can get out the people who stay here. Judging by the number of eviction notices they plaster on everyone's doors each month, a lot of people can't afford to get swindled by this place and keep up with the rent payments. Once the added fees for their "amenities" + whatever else they are charging for by the day are factored in; we would have been better off finding a townhouse or just buying a home. The only relief is that we live on the top floor and don't have the above our head noise. The side to side noise is worse on the weekends but nothing like the stomping we hear overhead when we hang out in the apartments of our friends who live here on the other floors. The top floor gets pretty warm but at least we don't have to run the heat often in the winter.

While we welcome all feedback, we're very sorry to see yours expressed in this way. Due to the nature of your concerns, we feel it would be best if we spoke with you directly. Please come by the office or give us a call at (801) 566-0495 when you can. Thank you.
Recently moved out, wouldn't recommend. Staying isn't worth the sky high rent for the area, ridiculous rent increases, and the new charges and fees at every turn. Some things about the place are nice, like being able to take in a show at Hale, or having golf room access (which can sometimes be a hassle when groups of people camp out with drinks and take over the room all evening or on the weekends. When you can use the amenities it's great. But the amount of other crap that comes with living here just isn't worth the high price to live here compared to other new apartments with similar features and more reasonable rent pricing. Inconveniences like the dog poop in places it didn't belong, our having to fend off some of the ridiculously oversize dogs that are allowed to walk around unrestrained and the noise from both sides (particularly during times when normal people should be sleeping). It doesn't matter if you file a complaint, there isn't any accountability for the people who cause the problems and rather than push the issue and stress ourselves out even more, we decided to move. It's not a surprise that we aren't the only ones leaving. We're just a number to them. Getting slapped with higher rent and more fees like having to pay for parking was the final straw for us. They look for any way they can to suck every last dime out of you. Our first renewal was a mistake because we weren't prepared to move and have to accept all the new charges. This time we were better prepared and made the right choice to leave. Found a great place with more space, high end like Park at City Center, but with a much more reasonable rent and FREE PARKING. We are glad for SOME of the neighbors we met here in the building but we wouldn't move back.

No one cares about putting bricks up in front of the building. The main reasons we left were because of the lies we kept being told, the fees they are making everyone pay now, the decrease in free perks, the constant noise from our neighbor and when we complained about pests they blamed us and told us to read our lease because they weren't responsible. THE ARROGANCE OF THESE PEOPLE! They wanted This place even charges a pest control fee and not 1 time during my entire lease have they ever sprayed inside of the individual units. We are very clean people and we are not the only people who have this problem. A lot of units here have uncontrolled bug problems. Just another fee that is charged and a service you don't get. Maybe they need to take advantage of everyone staying because people like my wife and I moved out after seeing the new charges. They will lie and say anything to get you to sign a lease and manipulate and intimidate you if you try to get out of the lease early. We had to hire our own service to spay the inside of our unit when we were living here. This place is of full it. They change the people running the show every few months and it's just a mess every time. The family that owns this place should be sued by all the former residents. We are so glad this nightmare is over. Fair warning to anyone else looking to rent here. There are plenty of other places to live, and it's not worth being taken for every dime you have to put up with being treated like crap by the people that own this building. My wife and I wouldn't have stayed as long as we did but they lied to get a second lease out of us. Now we're settled in at our new townhouse and will never look back. We saved so much money and it feels great to finally be somewhere that doesn't lie and pressure you. Certainly plan on telling EVERYONE we know about our experience at PACC. But that doesn't matter right? You have a ton of units to rent and plenty of new suckers to pay for your amenity and internet package. If you're thinking about renting here, READ THE REGULAR PRINT AND THE FINE PRINT. Hard pass on this building for sure.

Hello, and thank you for your review. While we appreciate all feedback, we're disappointed to see you feel this way about Park at City Center. We're concerned to see your comments, as we do not have any outstanding work orders regarding pests at this time and have not seen any such issues around our property. We spray every month around the building and common areas, and whenever a resident requests a spray we make sure to do so as soon as possible. We'd be happy to discuss this or any other concerns mentioned here, and invite you to speak with us directly at (801) 566-0495 so we can address any unresolved issues you may have at this time. Our past and current residents' satisfaction is our top priority, so we hope to hear from you very soon. Thank you, The Park at City Center Management
I’ve recently moved in and already feel incredibly comfortable. The office staff is fantastic, and are very quick to respond to your inquiries. The grounds are beautiful as are the amenities. I love the convenience of two freeway entrances. With nearby shopping and food choices there is always plenty to do on or off site.

Pretty new to this building and its oversold and underdelivered. I agree with the other residents. If someone posts a 5 star review they were probably paid to or given gift card to write good review. The other reviews about constant noise and the dog problems are 100% true. I hear everything through the walls from both my neighbors, security doesnt exist, and dogs run around 24 hours a day without leashes. Management does absolutely nothing about it and I've see owners let their dogs roam free all around the property, in the clubhouse and common areas and in the elevators twice so far I've been in fear of being attacked by the larger unruly breeds when riding up the elevators to get to my apartment. There are a lot of doors to exit the building but limited points of entry to get back in the building. Not a safe place to live if you like to jog in the afternoon without being attacked by loose dogs running around. You have to call the local police when it happens to you on the outside of the building. I had one dog climb all over me in the elevator when I had food and when I complained I was told that I was overracting but they would talk to the guy. Nothing ever happened. If you have kids stay away, beer and alcohol are left out unattended all the time on the nights in the clubhouse from the late night parties and the hallways. They play favorites and no matter what, even if you go against the rules they will lie to other residents and say they addressed the problem but they dont and the same groups of people get away with what they do every week. The elevators stink of weed, dog urine and spilled alcohol. They change payment systems and make it hard to pay on time then give me notice of eviction. Complaints about the issues with loud parties on both sides of me, slipping on spilled alcohol in the pool table room and constant misinformation given are never resolved and issues with building security are never told to residents until people complain loudly enough to influence. The people who live here steal from the storage units and residents hit cars in the parking deck (which is broken some times). Not very safe place to live with so many issue. People are afraid to complain because of eviction threats and lawsuit if they hear you complain. Only a few months left on my lease. I agree with the other comments get better go elsewhere.

I recommend staying away from here. I was excited about living here at first. It was a new complex. it looked clean and the tour guy made it sound like a great place. But all that changed real quick. The cost of living here is not worth what you get. My husband and I have been dealing with the same noise complaint for 4 months now and nothing has been done. They keep saying they will post notices on the individuals door, but they never actually talk to them. My husband and I have gone to talk to the apartment with the noise more than management has. Management keeps telling us to call Metro police to deal with it, but they don’t go out and check on noise complaints until after hours (we asked them and even then we might not be the first stop so it still takes a long time for them to get to this complex). I can’t stand being in my apartment because I can’t relax. Management has changed 3 times since this place has been open, that should tell you right there to stay away. They charge for the most ridiculous things and older residents are charged way more than newer tenants. This is dog friendly, which is fine, but I feel like I live at the dog pound at times with how much it smells like a dog or hearing dogs barking everywhere. Management is just not helpful at all when it comes to problems and making this place an enjoyable place to live, they just want your money. I also never want to invite anyone over because I have to go meet them at one of the entrances to let them in. There are also only a few faub entrances, which is the only way to get in. Out of the 4 entrances to get in and out (there’s 4 on each side of the building) only one has the faub so you can get it. Which means you have to walk out of your way to get in even though you may pass 3 other doors. Overall this place is a joke and not worth the money. If you want to pay a lot for disappointment, live here. Otherwise do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

This is the third management that has taken over in about 3 years, I've only been living here for 7 months and that has been long enough. Management is ineffective and useless. Any noise issues are near impossible to fix, I've had noise neighbors that I have been trying to deal with for the past 5 months to no avail. Numerous complaints have been filed, I've reached out to the neighbors in person, and to this day nothing has gotten better. Once they have you locked into contract you essentially have to suffer through any issues till the day you can finally leave.

*current resident* I've been here for about a month. they switched payment system which is understandable. i was told to wait for an email that would set up the new payment portal. i never received the email but i got almost $300 in late fees because i hadn't paid but was told to wait. when i explained and told them i was fine paying it at any point and just would like to know how to pay they told me they would not remove the late fees.
Ever since I have started living here it has been problem after problem. I had a very noisy neighbor who had dogs out on the balcony 24/7. This made it very difficult to walk my dog, especially since only 3 or 4 outside doors around the whole building can be opened with the key fob. I have never lived in a building before that didn't have access at all doors. have gotten a notice about not having my trash in a trash can, even when other neighbors constantly have theirs out of cans and have tons of other trash piled in front of their doors. The office tried to charge me a late fee on rent because the paper statement, the online portal, and the offices ledger all had a different amount owed on it. So since I paid what was on the portal, they tried to charge me a late fee. The garage door has been broken for over a month now and is still not fixed. There aren't mirrors on that level of the garage so it makes it very sketchy to come in the other way because you can't see what's coming around the other corner. One morning I got dressed for work and walked outside with my dog, the maintenance worker said hi to me then walked around the corner and turned the sprinklers on on me. If you want a terrible, overpriced, constant problem place to live then this is the building you've been looking for!
I usually don't write reviews, but Dave in the office is an awesome guy! He always takes care of the tenants no matter what! The apartments are very nice and clean. The pool and hot tub are amazing amenities! It's close to everything, and it a nice, safe place. I would live here again if I didn't want to buy a house so bad!
I’m very dissapointed with the condominium and like many of my neighbors haven’t been able to get myself to renew as my lease is ending. The experience here hasn’t been what they promised when we first toured it. Concerns have been met with disdain and an air of rudeness from the main manager there. The incompetency is frustrating. Dave has been excellent though, but there is only so much he can do. The amenities are very pretty but not well maintained anymore. There’s been dried throw up by one of the doors for a couple weeks now as one example. Charges on the monthly bill are irregular, I haven’t bothered to dispute the extra charges but I can see why it frustrates many of the other tenants. This place isn’t what it used to be
My husband and I absolutely love living here! Dave and Heidi always are so helpful, patient, and always treat you well no matter how long you live there. The property does not compare to other properties around. It is so well maintained and beautiful. The quality of these homes just don’t compare to other apartments we have lived at even that are similar in price. 100% recommend living here.

The Park at City Center is an awesome place to live. It's a new apartment complex in a central location--easy access to I-15, across the street from the new Hale Centre Theatre, just up the street from South Town and Rio Tinto. The office staff is good at responding to concerns and providing prompt help, even on weekends. The amenities are top notch with a full gym (including free weights!), a legit swimming pool, community grills, a jacuzzi open year-round, a golf simulator, and media room (great for watching games). They even provide free coffee and hot cocoa! What really sets The Park at City Center apart from other apartment complexes in the valley is the fact that they don't have hidden fees. When I was apartment hunting, I found that many other places had required media packages ($100-$150 per month, and you had to get the whole package including television), parking fees, and common area utilities. These other places literally made you pay for the utilities of the common areas, which varied month to month and was at least $100 a month. The Park at City Center does not have any of that. You can choose between xfinity or centurylink for your internet. Parking is abundant in a secured parking garage and is free. Reserved parking is $75 a month, but, again, there is plenty of parking. Lastly, there isn't any common area fees. I can't recommend these apartments enough!
