There’s nothing better than living in a city where residents have a true love for their community. Eden Prairie is praised by its locals, and for good reason! This welcoming suburb is a beautiful place to find your next apartment, with single-family homes, condos, and townhomes available for rent as well. The area is family-friendly with great schools. These are just two reasons why Eden Prairie has been consistently awarded as one of the best places to live in the nation.
Eden Prairie is situated outside of Minnesota’s Twin Cities, just 15 miles southwest of Minneapolis and 25 miles southwest of St. Paul. There are so many wonderful community amenities that are perfect for enjoying the great outdoors such as Miller Park, Purgatory Creek Park, Bryant Lake Regional Park, and Bearpath Golf & Country Club. In fact, the town has a total of 10,000 acres of land designated for green open spaces. There are also several lakes and beaches in the area.

Property Ratings at Park at City West Apartments
I do not recommend these apartments. Scheduled a tour for 4:00, arrived at 3:45 and was fine waiting til 4. It went until 430 and still haven’t been taken on the tour. While waiting current residents came to get help with maintenance and front desk Nevaeh told them “a lot of their issues they can do on their own so that’s why their maintenance request isn’t getting done.” At this point we left. Knowing if we needed help from an establishment we’re paying monthly, too, wouldn’t feel the need to help us with maintenance, there was no point n touring.

This is mostly a pretty nice place. The gym has been better maintained recently and that has been very positive. However it's too bad that the buildings and grounds allow smoking. It's only the second day of spring and I can't open my windows because of the absurd amount of cigarette smoke. Summer is ok bc the windows are closed and the AC is on. Winter is ok for the same reason. However spring and fall are terrible because you want to open your windows and enjoy the fresh air, but cigarette smoking ruins it. There are also a lot of things around the place that need to be fixed like the door in the main building to get to the gym, and I think there aren't enough maintenence guys bc there were signs up for months saying they would hire anyone without experience lol. Also a lot of times in winter the hallways are like ice cold and in summer sometimes they get very hot like the HVAC is broken. Overall I would say the rent is actually a bit high for a smoking building. There are other apartments in the area that are smoke free with nicer amenities for not much more money. Also keep in mind utilities are not included, and the buildings are pretty old and not insulated very well so that gets pricey in the dead of winter. Overall not a terrible place and if you don't have allergies or are a smoker it's probably a good deal. Otherwise probably just pay a little more so you can open your windows in the spring lol

I just moved in my studio and found it very clean and nice. The staff, Jennifer and Diane, were extremely helpful, friendly, courteous and nice. I found these apartments by fluke and am glad I did. I am going through an ordeal in my life and with that I couldn't have asked for more in an apartment. Thank you very much!!

Thank you very much for your feedback. We value our residents and take pride in making The Park At City West a great place to live. Your positive comments mean a great deal to our team and we look to continue to provide great service for our residents. Thank you again!
The location here is great and the neighbors are wonderful. However, I did have one pretty substantial issue with management. I have a friend who lives in Rochester. Her mother passed away and therefore she had to move out of her home. Fortunately, she was offered a pretty good position in the cities, but it does not pay enough to get her a studio or a one bedroom here at PCW. She is in college and cannot maintain a full time job and school work. Knowing this, I asked management if there was any way I could switch to a two bedroom which seemed reasonable since they would be getting more money. I even offered to pay room cleaning fees and everything. They refused. I do enjoy living here and the staff does respond to questions and concerns in a timely fashion. As long as your not asking for anything that would create any extra work for them, they are happy to oblige.
Am in 100% agreement with Leaves Something to be Desires. Everything they said is correct about the garages, hallways, elevator bays and elevators. Dirty, filthy, run down, and rarely cleaned or cared for. It's too bad because I just love the location. A paved walkway around a very nice pond, close to freeways with easy access but away from traffic and noise. My apartment is small but feels much bigger with floor-to-ceiling windows, large sliding window in the bedroom out to the balcony and valued ceilings. Have lived here for many years and been through at least seven management companies, sometimes a new one within just one year, would really like to know what causes so much turnaround. The current company has been the worst for upkeep and cleaning. They say they'll clean things up but never do. But as of now ALL common areas need a complete refurbish and remodel, stripped and new from the ground up. I'm afraid they are beyond just upkeep and cleaning now. Until then I think the word "Luxury" should be banned from the name, it's very misleading advertising.
I've been here almost 7 yrs and just moved to anew building this yr and have a great view of the pond. Very peaceful. Lobby areas need a revamp. The apt remodels are good but rent is very high. But that's what you have to pay to live in a nice area. Friendly staff.
Great and clean environment. Only complaint would be that there are no ceiling lights in the bedrooms
Have lived here for years. Changes in ownership and numerous management changes (2 companies, 5 managers, over 15 staff changes in just 3 years) have left this place in uncertain and inconsistent state. Former manager was very tenant-conscious, kept the place very clean and was very committed to keeping up the quality of the buildings. Current manager has reduced cleanings to once per week, tells tenants certain repairs/updates are in the works, but then they never happen. Garages are constantly filled with water from leaking walls, poor exterior building drainage, and broken pumps/lines that mean water runs through garbage chute/sewer areas and carries stinky garbage ridden water through areas in garage where cars have to park and people have to walk! Mildew and mold are rampant in the walls, even above ground (in laundry rooms, storage units), and when you point it out they just paint over it. Major reno underway in units but finishings are poor quality and poor design. Common areas look like they are still 30 years old..dingy carpets, dark dreary wall paint colors, dim lighting, damaged walls, broken heat registers, entry doors and mailboxex. Rent has risen nearly 50% in 3 years, but this place just doesn't deserve to be priced at this level.
Super quiet area but still centrally located. We are in an updated one bedroom that has superior craftsmanship. The new cabinets are nice quality and the office staff is very responsive. They email you if you have a package waiting, respond to messages in a timely manner and take care of maintenance requests quickly. We have a dog and love the small dog park. Underground heated parking is great and not too costly. LOVE this place
This suburban Minneapolis complex is on a shady parkway with walking paths and lovely ponds. The facilities include a large workout facility, large year-round swimming pool, sauna and handball court. Despite its suburban location, the complex is within a block or two from major highways. Some of the apartments, including ours, have full washers and dryers. The complex has several 3-story buildings, and third-story apartments offer vaulted ceilings. Many apartments also have brick woodburning fireplaces. We have lived here several years and there have been management changes. Current management is very good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Service needs are met quickly and efficiently. All in all, we find it a very comfortable and convenient place to live, with many fine amenities.
Park at City West is a great location for my current position. A 5 mile commute is a perfect way to start the day. The amenities are in great condition. The units are updated with new cabinets and appliances. My only complaint, the fireplace is on a diagonal in the living room, it creates a challenge for placing furniture. Also, no ceiling lights in the bedrooms.
