Property Ratings at Park at Penrose Apartments
Roaches, broken locks and doors, homeless allowed to sleep in laundry rooms, high rent charge. Do not trust.
My food spoiled while it took them 11 days to replace a fridge. Office and Corporate managers ignored my calls and emails through put the process and have not compensated me for the spoiled food due to their lack of haste in replacing the fridge. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to live
I'm posting this review in several places because I believe Park at Penrose gets a bad rep from some...I'll be frank...bad tenants. I began my lease in June of 2022 in a 1bed/1bath 460sq ft pad in Building D. I know that this place has been through quite a bit in it's building-setup's long tenured time as a complex here in Colorado Springs. I know it's changed hands quite a bit as well, and I was a bit nervous when I moved in here. As someone with disabilities and mental challenges, I am QUITE DELIGHTED to tell you that this place has exceeded expectations. In terms of management and maintenance, I absolutely love these folks. They've been attentive to my emails (which are probably annoying at times let's be honest) and they've been nothing but accommodating when I ask questions or request information about things. Maintenance has nothing but smiles when I speak with them. one woman in particular is always the sweetest G on the premises, wish I hadn't continuously forgotten names!! The other tenants are basically the only problem here. I see the way buildings A and B run, and it's so beautiful and quiet and everyone's smiling... Then buildings C and D become a part of the picture. You can SMELL some of these homes through their doors. You can hear the fighting through the floors and pipes. every 2-3 days there's police activity. A good chunk of these people are friendly enough and I have ways to ignore the sounds and irritants (headphones and music etc) but as someone with disabilities, it's unnerving to come home at night and hear the constant punching and screaming. things being destroyed, yelling...there are people off-lease just arriving and standing by doors, knowing we have to use them eventually. As I'm typing this, someone is slamming their door over and over right now saying "YOU KEEP ME UP I'LL WAKE YOU UP." it's a wild ride, and I've watched the management team do a great amount to help everyone here create an environment of peace. There's only so much you can do alone, and I'd say the better the tenants that move in, the more likely this place gets the continued love it so deserves!! Great job, everyone!!
