Property Ratings at Park Crest Apartments
Thinking about renting at Park Crest Apartments at Tyson’s? Here's my experience to consider: We stayed at Park Crest from September 2023 to May 2024. Everything seemed perfect until we moved in. First, we discovered that the water meter was overcharging us. Even on days we weren’t in the apartment, the water bill showed an average usage of about 150 gallons per day. We began contacting the property manager and utility service in November 2023, sending dozens of emails and visiting the leasing office. Despite our efforts, nothing was resolved by the time we moved out in May 2024. They likely realized there was an issue and gave us a $100 one-time credit in April, but this didn’t come close to covering the monthly overcharges. Second, there was a constant smell of weed in the hallway despite the property’s non-smoking policy. After we moved out, we were shocked to see a $230 deduction from our deposit for carpet cleaning and trash removal. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment, including vacuuming the carpet and removing all the trash. No explanation was provided for what is considered reasonable for deductions from deposit.
Property Manager at Park Crest Apartments, Responded To This Review
Mike, we're sorry to hear that your experience with us fell short of expectations. The water meter overcharge issue is understandably frustrating, and we've worked with our utility service to resolve it. In addition, we encourage residents to notify us of any community violations, including smoking. Finally, if you have questions regarding the deduction from your deposit, please give us a call.
I moved to the D.C. Metro area from a very rural setting, and I mean very rural. The move has been quite the adjustment. I was lucky to find this apartment building in McLean. When I was looking for apartments they did not have the one I wanted available. The second it became available I got a phone asking if I wanted it. The building is clean and safe with gated parking. It is great location with a short walk to a lot of attractions. The thing that I was most impressed with was the noise, or lack there of. Where I am originally from the only noise I hear at night are crickets cherping. While it is not exactly like living in the country, it is extremely quite here and I have never been woken up by anything. Overall I am very happy with this building and the services it provides.
clean and safe- small sq footage for 2 bedroom though- has a pool and barbeque area - it is close to major highway and transportation.
The moment you enter in the lobby you feel welcomed and comfortable. With their extravagant design, stunning mingle room and pool view, you feel like you are in a modern paradise. There is always someone to welcome you and all the concierge (especially David) are friendly and amazing. This apartments are for people with modern taste. Every apartment has a astonishing view, some of them at the water feature, some at the pool. Even though is in a busy neighborhood, you cannot hear anything except the water feature and the sound of peace and relaxation. We have been living here for 6 month and we do not have enough beautiful words to describe it. Every one of the employees, especially Christina have helped us a lot and we are more then grateful. It has all the features you need to feel like home! And to us that is most important.
