Property Ratings at Park East
First off, this apartment complex is so pretty! It’s really well landscaped, with lots of trees and several lakes. It’s a beautiful property for just for going on a walk. There’s even a gazebo, plus lots of picnic tables throughout. But beyond appearances, it’s overall just a great experience living here! It’s super quiet and peaceful all the time. There’s a pool, gym and basketball court. Plenty of parking spots too. If there’s ever an issue, the staff is super quick at getting it taken care of. I can’t recommend Park East enough. You will really feel at home here!
That is unless you like sharing your home with disease-ridden cockroaches. My husband, my son, and I have been on and off sick since moving here 5 months ago. Cockroaches showed up, along with other issues such as A/C on day one. Management's response was to send Massey out. Clearly they've been doing a *great* job since you can see reviews dating back to over two years ago about this infestation. We thought we'd be fine because we are very clean people but day one the infestation showed up when a pizza crumb was dropped on the floor for 20 minutes. Easily had over 10 roaches swarming it from baby to adult size. Since that day Massey has come in and sprayed 4 times. Every other time has been a simple check and/or replacement of their "monitor traps", which has been inconsistent. The infestation doesn't even subside after treatments. The roaches of course freak out and crawl everywhere afterwards, hiding in the corners of the walls and getting into furniture. Then after a week they start settling back behind the appliances and in the cabinets. The roach droppings dot the pipes, holes in the walls, and electrical sockets. We have loads of picture and video proof showing the infestation as well. We will be using that incase they argue us breaking our lease to get out of this hole. I just can't understand why you would think doing the same things over and over would work for years without results. It's clear despite the cheaper cost why there are so many open apartments. Good luck if you decide to move here.
I have lived here for over three years and this new ownership has change things. I do not receive a call back promptly as indicated in the message. I have called five times asking for my amount of my rent and I could not get a reply back So now my rent will be late. I followed the note that was left on my door to call and I cannot get an answer back I am becoming completely dissatisfied with this complex and I am not going to renew
I am extremely disappointed with our experience at Park East apartments. From the poor condition of the apartment (large stains on the floor, broken cabinets, broken dishwasher, broken shelves, old appliances, and highly infested with cockroaches) to the absolutely abysmal customer service, our experience with them started poorly and ended even worse. The building was so infested with cockroaches that there were cabinets and drawers we didn't even use due to the feces left in there. We would see up to 8 roaches every day. To say that they building is disgusting is an understatement. Now on to the ridiculously poor service. From the beginning, the staff was unable to correctly fax our contracts in the correct format until finally they gave up and mailed it to us. In order to get anything done by the staff, I had to go into the office at least two or more times. Getting our broken dishwasher fixed took four trips to the office and the first time I went in they accused me of not knowing how to use it. Turns out the whole dishwasher was so broken it needed to be totally replaced. On a separate occasion the staff admitted to not know how their own online payment system worked. I found this out when part of my rent/utilities didn't show up. After being assured that it was correct, I was told later she was wrong and it was not correct. In fact, she admitted that many other resident's bills were wrong as well. This was one of two separate billing mistakes. Every time I walked into the office I was treated like I was annoying them. I was promised they would call or email us about various things that I asked them to do and they consistently failed to follow through. The area surrounding the apartment was sketchy to put it lightly. We were woken up Christmas morning to the police asking if we heard anything in the area. We don't know why they visited to this day. We saw sheriffs cars there on a regular basis. Their gym was small and useless, the gates were broken (and left open) for a majority of the time of the year we were there. I would never return. I hope that you don't make the mistake of choosing this apartment
The bad service u will ever have , so rude manger and blonde lady so rude I call them ten time for my AC was not working and they don't care they come to my apt next tow days and I called them a lot , save your money and don't come here ..
I have lived in this apartment for three years and I love it. The few times I have had to call maintenance, their response has been quick and the work was very good. My apartment is a small one bedroom, about 560 sqft, which is a good size for one person. It has two good sized closets, dishwasher, garden bathtub, and a small porch. I love the fact that it is pet friendly and has a nice pool. I also like that it is very close to USF without being "student apartments" , which is great for older students who aren't into the party scene (like myself) or families. I've had a few loud neighbors over the years, but management takes care of those situations very quickly once made aware. The only things that I don't like are that my apartment has no washer/dyer (although the larger ones do), meaning I have to use the laundry room. Also, there is no playground, so kids tend to play in the parking lot. Other than that, the apartments are great! I highly recommend Park East.
