Recognized as one of America’s most historic neighborhoods, Germantown dates back centuries all the way to 1683. Even though it’s one of the oldest settlements in the city, Germantown has a relaxed and friendly vibe about it.
And speaking of its historic vanity – the Cliveden Estate’s backyard was the site of the 1777 Battle of Germantown. Along its main thoroughfare, a 2.5-acre rose garden flourishes with brightly-colored blooms at the Wyck House. Locals gather at the Johnson House – which was a stop on the Underground Railroad – to join in the Juneteenth Festival. The Revolutionary Germantown Festival is held every October and features reenactments of the Battle of Germantown.
Outside of their affordable apartments, locals can be found exploring Fernhill Park or dining at delicious eateries. Locals look forward to easy commutes to work by way of two SEPTA rail lines.

Property Ratings at Park Heights Apartments
this place is disgusting. the only place that doesn't smell like a soggy basement is when you first enter the lobby but once your past the front desk you will immediately begin to smell it. the hallways here are the most uncomfortable place you can be it smells so bad and is so dingy plus they never fix the lights so you are just constantly looking over your shoulder and rushing to get in your door. but when you are inside there are bugs and mice everywhere. its so bad there is an exterminator here every week. yet we still have infestations. when i first got the apartment i had to have maintenance come because there was mouse droppings and they told me to buy traps. i had to call maintenance here more times the first week of living here than i have ever had to call in my whole life of renting put together. first it was the infestations then it was the cigarette butts and smoke everywhere in the emergency stairwells. then it was the elevators breaking down WITH people in them. anything that can go wrong in an old building like this has gone wrong and continues to go wrong because management refuses to fix anything. its cheaper and easier for them to rotate residents than it is to actually fix things. the front desk here is the most rude and hostile group of people i have ever met. when they arent saying things under their breath and starring you down they sit around most of the time watching tik toks and spreading gossip about other residents (i cant tell you how many stories i have heard just waiting for the elevator). the managers here are even worse. i can tell that the managers are on this site and others writing fake positive reviews because no resident i have met here ever has anything good to say about them. it is a common joke here that stephanie loves to make peoples lives hell and thats really sad when you think about it cause this lady looks way too old to be acting that way. if i could give advice to anybody looking to rent here i would say dont do it. the price is nice at first but youll find over time that its worth more of your time and money to search around more. i promise you you will waste more money buying mouse traps, bug repellent, and air fresheners than you would if you looked for another apartment.
We love our 3 room apartment and have lived here for 2 years. We have a newer apartment with hardwood floors. The desk people are always nice and they accept all of our packages which is huge. No complaints at all.
I lived in Park Heights from 2008 to 2016 in three different apartments (3 to a 2 and finally a 1 bed due to roommates). Nothing but great things to say about it. Staff was always courteous. it was a great mix of families, students, young professionals, etc. Never had any issues and maintenance fixed any problems within a day. I moved out due to a new relationship but I would have no issue living there again.
I am a current resident and is being harassed by the maintenance man. The Property Management is aware of it and has done nothing about it. ..very unprofessional with handling such a serious issue. Although I have a complaint against this maintenance man, he is still able to hangout in the lobby where my apartment is located at any time of the hour....lkeep in mind, this is someone who has access to keys of all the apartments. Smh! I will be moving as soon as my lease is up. I most certainly wouldn't recommend a single female to move here as he prey on situations like that.
