That's high praise! You said "enjoyed my time there", if that means you moved out, please remember we would love to have you back whenever you need us! This time of year the trees around us are putting on their color show and it can't be beat!
The landscaping here is terrible! When they are finished cutting the lawn they leave tire tracks everywhere, they fail to trim bushes or clean up after themselves. Making the property look worth WAY less than what the rent is.
The location and square footage of a 2 bedroom is great however the central location allows residents to become susceptible to theft. My car has been broken into several times and the most recent incident my window was broken and radio was stolen. The complex has done nothing to increase security. 2 years ago there was security that patrolled all night, because of all the vandalism Security has been decreased the rent has increased substantially yearly and paying this amount of rent should include 24 hour security based on all the reported incidents. The entire grounds are not well kept except the front entrance. Not worth the money...

We're glad you love the floor plan here! As you know we have been in the process of a property wide lighting upgrade. All of the carports will soon have brand new LED lighting throughout the community! We have the number for the after hours security team in the office for you. While we have electronic markers posted on every building for them to walk past, they cannot be everywhere at once. If you give us a call I will gladly give you that number. They will also come out after hours to help you with a tire repair or to jump the battery of your car upon request. We do request that in the event of a break in or vandalism that you come in for an incident report. We will want to take pictures, gather information including the police report number so that we can use that data with our courtesy patrol to better protect our community. We are upset at what happened to your vehicle, and are revved up to do anything we can to prevent anything else from happening to you or others (we park here too!) but please try to remember that wherever there are people there is the potential for crime. We will continue to do the best we can to reduce the opportunity for crime. This includes the installation of security cameras, they were delivered and we are ready to install shortly. We are here for you when you need us!
I would not describe the property as "kept up" like the other posters above. In fact, 8 months ago, the parking lot was in such disrepair that there were huge craters. I can only imagine that review was posted by a biased or paid party It is a convenient location. At 850 sq ft for 2 bedroom 2 bathroom it is rather small. There are no "sliding doors to the patio" that I've ever seen. But there is a drafty regular door. But, don't worry. If it gets bent like mine did, maintenance will bend it right back. Several neighbors have experienced theft since I've been here (car on bricks, motor cycle stolen). The security at front never patrols. If he doesn't let someone in, the can just drive around to the back of the property and go through the unlocked gate (no cameras anywhere either) It's a loud and large community. The roofing is old. The windows are old and drafty. Maintenance and the office don't communicate about what does or doesn't get done, so it's hard to tell when maintenance will be out, even if they specify a time All in all, fairly lousy.

Our 2 bedroom homes range from 1162-1200 square feet, and every home has a sliding door wall to go out to their patio's and balcony. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy where you are, please feel free to reach out to us as to our availability, I promise you, that you will like it much better!

After searching and looking at about 15 different apartment complexes in the area.I believed to have found the best one and the best deal in the $1,000-1,200 price range. Ok so location, first its a straight shot around the corner to 696. But the property is located off a nice quiet street. The property is nice, clean, quiet and kept up. It is the best deal because water and a carport is included in the rent. I have a 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom unit. Also a washer and dryer comes with the unit, they have huge bedrooms with spacious walk in closets and the bathrooms are nice and roomy as well. The other 2 things that won me over was the private entry and patio with a nice sliding door. I'm moving from a house so I wanted the most comfortable transition as possible for my daughters and I. And it's close feel to a house. Think I found it. Thanks to apartment.com.

I've been a resident here for over a year now. I love the location and the way the area is kept up. The Apartments are very roomy and the staff is wonderful. Great place to reside.

I was drawn this location because I like the look of the apartments and the private entries. It is also close to work. The mangers and maintenance have been fairly responsive. The rent did go up this year however I see that they are making improvements to the property. I hope to continue to enjoy my stay at Park Lane Apartments.

If you are looking for a nice apartment in Southfield then Park Lane could be for you: The living quarters are very comfy with plush carpet and good sized bedrooms. All the appliances are moderately new and in working conditions. There is a tennis court and pool with plenty of parking for inviting family/friends over. The cons however of the apartment complex is that It is right off the street and this has led to at least two criminal activities in the 7 months of being there: Both incidents were my neighbors having there cars tires stolen. The management team has taken steps in resolving the issue but their lack of urgency is a problem for me. Overall the actual apartments make a good place to call home but the management could be much better.
