Property Ratings at Park Lane East
I’ve been there 3days and already moving out. The roach problem there is unbelievable.. I mean BIG roaches.. Each day I had to kill some which was about 9 roaches.. I had to come out my pockets n exterminate myself; the heat u can’t control and it was sweaty hot in there. Trash/food inside step area & dead roaches in the hall. Clean property OUTSIDE yes but INSIDE is horrible. DONT COME ! VERY disappointing if looking for something nice n waist of money. Ms Kamara (The Manager) is very nice, smiley & respectful though. I DO like her a lot.
I've been here since June. The outer grounds are nice and kept clean by cleaning staff. The trash people mentioned are from tenants. There's plenty of dumpsters around for trash disposal. The inside corridors could definitely use some updates (i.e. the carpet, wall paint, stairs rails). The laundry room needs to be better maintained(tenants and cleaning staff slack here). My apartment was recently painted, carpet pulled up and it looks nice. I don't like the outdated kitchen cabinets (they smelled and I had to clean twice). I have not had the infestation of mice and bugs in my apartment although I've seen one here and there. I am pro active and spray repellent as well as whatever the exterminator uses. I urged up spots where I think a mouse can get in. Maintenance comes when I've requested them so I haven't had an issue. The heat has been great,no issues with hot water. I think if the kitchens were replaced and tenants were more pro active about keeping their apartments clean and bug free it would lessen the issues. Also it depends on which bldg you're in. Overall the apartment is a nice size for the price of a 1bdrm under 1k.
Roach infestation is out of hand, Maintenence never comes when ticket is put in. Lived here for 3 years and the property manager changes monthly. Front office extremely unhelpful.
Mice infested, roach infested, trash everywhere, poor Maintenance, constant loss of hot water, water shut off frequently, most recent was over 24hrs. Lack of urgency and care for tenants. Please do not move here. It is not worth you money, time, or energy.
AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Definitely not worth your money at all. Have had a mice problem that this complex refuses to correct for months now, management clearly doesn't care about cleaning hallways, and overall this place is just not worth it. There's a reason this place has 1 star reviews for almost every recent review here.
The reviews written here are NOT LYING. The management is literally horrible and I usually have a high tolerance for these kinds of things. I had mice issues for over 5 months and everytime I called and tried getting them to do something about it, they had another excuse. Maintenance was on vacation or I was "on the list" - even though no one ever showed up and the problem still persisted for months after this. Exterminator literally just "bait" the apartment with poison packets you could probably buy yourself and THEY DON'T EVEN WORK. Maintenance came eventually to check for holes and said there were none and no way for a rat to show up. Well guess what, there were still rodents running through my otherwise clean apartment. Worst management I have ever seen. I promise you can get a better living condition.
Avoid this place! It’s extremely horrible. It’s infested with roaches and mice, security cameras don’t work, the walls are so thin you can hear all your neighbors’ activities, maintenance doesn’t care, etc. I can go on and on. Any apartment complex is better than this one!
HORRIBLE ! Don't do it to yourself. Mice and roaches everywhere. The manager is mean and will not help you at all. They lie about extermination. I would move out as soon as possible! Save your money ! Not worth it.
I lived here for two years. The staff were helpful and never rude (Kim was very kind), however, the property is quite old and in desperate need of a renovation. I had both mouse and cockroach issues constantly; luckily I had a cat living with me to keep the mice away. What made my situation unbearable was a bedbug incident. I had them in my unit, and I learned that when the bedbug exterminators came, they did not automatically check neighboring apartments. I contracted bedbugs for a second time, and I deemed it the fault of the apartment complex, because they do not check neighboring units. I did not want to pay for them to come a second time, and I got a verbal agreement that I would not be charged. When I moved out, I noticed that they deducted the cost from my security deposit. Overall, I would not recommend living here.
If you enjoy or don't mind roaches in the hallway, roaches on your counters, roaches in your things, and an almost non-existent maintenance crew?! Then come on down and put in your application for Park Lane East Apartments. P.S. They have mice too...
I lived here in the C building for a yr. It was the worst year ever. I had a newborn and was so upset of the conditions we had to live in. They have big nasty cockroaches just roaming thru the hallways. We woke up 1 morning and killed 13 roaches, no exaggeration, from my kitchen counter to the ceiling to my bathroom. We informed them many times and nothing was ever done. Maintaine takes months before something is fixed. My air conditioner in living room started leaking & destroyed the floors. They started warping & lifting. They would not fix them until we moved out. Maintaince is HORRIBLE. I recently moved out and they charged me $60 for cleaning an oven. There was nothing wrong with anything when i left. And i have yet to get a call back about my co cern for this charge. I WOULD NEVER REDER ANYONE TO LIVE IN THIS COMPLEX!!!
The apartments are very spacious. There isn't too much noise and disturbances. The grounds are always kept up with. The office staff is very attentive and polite.
I have lived in these apartments for 4 years now, and the key attribute that stands out to me is the quietness and peace of mind it offers. Neighbors respect one another, the cleaning crew and groundskeepers do their jobs quickly and efficiently leaving the complex clean and well maintained. Furthermore the going to pay my rent every month is enjoyable! The staff are very pleasant and welcoming, they engage conversation, ask questions about the apartment and just make sure you are enjoying your quality of life as a renter at the complex. This is a great place to live and im glad i made that choice!
I have lived in the park lane east apartments for about 10,years this is my third apartment I upgraded to a two bedroom when me n my bf moved together. Since I moved if anything needs to get fixed I have to end up calling the health dept for them to do anything , building is very noisy kids running up n down the hallway. Every weekend my neighbors upstairs are up n loud at 7:30am we've made complaints and it doesn't matter. All they are worried about is getting paid rent if your looking for an attentive complex do not rent here.
