Property Ratings at Park Place Apartments
Me and my roommate have been here for a year and a half on one of the bottom apartments and in that experience, we’ve had the kids that live at other apartments constantly running around screaming, they bang and knock on the door then run away, they throw their basketballs and whatever else at the windows and sliding door constantly, and jump into our patio to play. No one seems to be watching them ever and if they are, they’re doing nothing about it. Not only that, but other things that deals with the apartment itself. Like, all the windows have drafts so it’s always cold no matter how high the thermostat is at, along with the door having a draft. Another thing about the area, the police, S.W.A.T., or ambulance is always there looking for someone. One time, there was a decent group of police officers using a mega phone to tell someone in an apartment in building I to “come out with your hands up”. They were there for a good 30 minutes before they final went into the apartment and searched and then left. This place is not only loud and no one has no consideration whatsoever, but it is also not the safest.
Moved in 2019. It was quiet and safe enough for me to forget to lock my car doors. By the end of 2020 we’ve had 4 shootings and a series of grand larcenies. Management had changed more than I can count and communication has been non existent. Absolutely no amenities for the price of rent we pay. I am currently still a resident and can’t wait to find a better safer place for me and my daughters and granddaughter!!

This is a horrible place to live. I was originally told that the apartment was community/family living and that the complex terminated their contract with the Universities here in the city. Needless to say, I live in an apartment building filled with college students. The apartment was poorly cleaned when I moved in, the walls needed to be painted, there was rust in my tub, roaches and spiders in the apartment and my dish washer and refrigerator was broken. They did send a terminator out when informed, however, when asked to fix my dish washer I was met with "I am going to put in a work order", 2 months later, I am still being told that a work order has to be put in. My walls still have not been painted and rust is still in my tub (I have a 1 year old that loves taking baths, however can not due to the rust.) I was also told that their would be a resource room where the residence could use desk top computers and provided printer, here recently I was informed that the manager changed his mind and will be using the space to rent out for parties. There were a lot of false advertisement for this apartment as they were trying to fill the apartments and I wish I would have known this before signing my lease. For the price that you will pay, I strongly suggest that you look else where.

I gave it two stars in the past, but now officially I think they do not deserve any stars at all. They use Simple Bills which is convenient when it comes to splitting up the bill among tenants, but charges you $4.00 extra for web-maintenance every billing cycle, if you pay with credit card there is an extra charge, and the worst part is that even if you decide to move from your apartment before the lease ends( even though you pay off the remaining balance on your lease) still you are hold accountable for electricity. Be aware that if you move out of park place even if you pay off the remaining balance on your lease ,still you are responsible for paying electricity until the end of lease. Moved out on may 12 and paid off my lease, and still they hold me accountable for the remaining of the electricity until july 31st even though I was not living there anymore and I had paid off the remaining balance on my lease. If you are able to cope with walls and floors that have very poor insulation noise then you will not have to worry about living in any of the apartments at Park Place. In my case I often stayed up the whole night because the neighbor living on the floor above decided that the night was the day and vice-versa( pretty much walking, jumping, etc in his/her room all throughout the night) which felt like it was inside my room ending in a total disruption of my sleeping cycle.Buildings are old and so are heating systems i.e your electric bill will increase immensely during winter and still your room won't feel like is warm enough. Kitchen cabinets are not big enough to share in a room occupied by three tenants. The only reason why I'm giving it a FAIR rate is because of the price ( cheap)due to the individual room lease, clean area(no bugs), and decent maintenance to green areas.Langley Apartments are not the friendliest when it comes to rules, policies and regulations which is always to their advantage ( they will always win) keep in mind you will be signing an inconsistent lease agreement.

I love living at Park Place! The apartments are in a great area of town. I love that they provide transportation to Liberty University. I would recommend Park Place apartments to college students looking for something cheap.
