Property Ratings at Park Place Apartments
2 bed 2 bath apartments have spacious layouts, located ideally next to Plymouth community center for activities, jogging track feels like you're in a forest, dog park and multiple swimming pools! Maintenance is not prompt but given the huge number of units its understandable. Great property management and newly renovated Gym is worth the money. Great place to stay!

Hello, We appreciate the time you took to give us such great feedback! It's feedback like yours that reminds us why we do what we do. We work hard to provide customers with a great experience and look forward to continuing to do the same for you! We're here for you anytime!
Renovated is not exactly what we thought, old appliances, old moldy bathtub, moldy and sweaty potty making puddles underneath. First month of winter and the paint from slide door is peeling off and moldy wood underneath showing through. Microwave not working with no one to repair after 2 followups in 3 weeks.
Having recently moved into this complex. From day one I have had flickering lights and non working appliances because power surges. With waiting almost 3 weeks, the issue is being fixed apparently. I would list all the issues with this complex, but there is not enough space.

I’ve tried to write a detailed review a few times, but the list of issues I had while living at Park Place properties was too long to be submitted. The property company IRET is so obviously underwater financially, it’s almost comical. Unless you’re renting from them; they cannot handle even the most simple maintenance request in a timely fashion. The management on the complex level was clueless most of the time, and often never got back to me when I reached out for help with something. Then there’s the opposite problem which was privacy issues. I’ve never in my life rented from a place that would send maintenance workers in more than twice a year, and somehow this company had people in and out of our homes almost once a month! It was absolutely ridiculous. They would give these huge windows of entry from Monday at 9am-Wednesday at 5pm. I can’t even remember the number of times it would get postponed until the next week, too. I would highly recommend you look for another property company to rent from. Unless you like being ignored when you need something, and constantly pestered while you’re at home. They only care about the absurd amount of money they make you pay in rent, not about you’re happiness and wellbeing.

Not so great... Management is a train wreck, and very rude. When you ask questions they mock you, or act like you are troubling them, not customer focused. My building always smelled funny and my child had rashes, I think they have a mold issue, or at least some kind of issue that would cause a rash in a child that would immediately go away within 24 hrs of not being in the building. Anyway, if this is your only choice (which it is not), maybe, but would suggest looking elsewhere!

Stayed in the property for 2 years from 2017 to 2019. When I moved in, the property was managed by GreyStar, the rent was reasonable and the management was good. Within the next few months, the management changed hands from GreyStar to IRET and things started getting worse ever since. The previous rental consultants were very kind and approachable, but the new guys (most of them are young and naive) were very rude and they were not looking to help the residents in any way. Plus when the management changed hands, the rent of my apartment has gone up by 15% in the first year, the parking fee was increased as well. Towards the end of the 2nd year, when we went and inquired about the rent, they have once again hiked it to 15% beyond which point the apartment was simply not worth it. Here are the reasons why it was just not worth it - The apartment was very poorly managed by the current management, the elevators flooded and have not been repaired for over a month, maintenance requests had 1-2 weeks of turnaround time, the elevator used to stinks so badly every single day and yet nothing was done, trash was not collected properly and used to overflow, my entire building (which has at least 70 units across 4 floors) had only 3-4 carts at any time. Apart from all this, we had a terrible experience during move out as well, they ate up 90% of the security deposit (which is something that has not happened in any of the previous places that I have been in), although we spent hours and hours cleaning the apartment to the best possible state with no stains or dirt, some of our neighbors who also left the property around the same time, were charged with hefty fines. I'm paying whatever rent (they told me at the end of my 2nd year) at my current place too, for which I get a management is friendly and approachable, the property is very well maintained and I get excellent amenities to go with it, which is what renters like me expect, given the money that we pay. I would certainly suggest this property to any of my friends.

We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction. Our goal is to provide the best possible home at Park Place and as such, we have tried to resolve the most inconvenient issues as quickly as possible. Terrible! Location was great, but it takes forever for maintenance to fix anything. Also, we had a flooded laundry room which took way too long to fix and was never dried out or repaired and was growing black-colored mold in laundry room and hallway floors. Our car was broken into and stolen from multiple times in the "secured" underground parking garage. Staff is incredibly incompetent, to the point that they tell you there is NO paperwork to fill out when moving out with 6 months notice given, but when you move out they charge you 2 extra months because of paperwork they refused to give you when requested. None of the entrances are ever closed, just doors wide open for anyone to walk through. It seems they cannot keep any employees, very high turnover rate. Residents also let their dogs poop in everyone's yard without picking it up. There are an ungodly amount of drain flies everywhere in the buildings and regularly found urine, trash, and condoms in elevators. The front entrance doors have been vandalized with profanity, which all the little kids saw at bus stop. Also, many parents let their children wear poopy diapers in the pool and then throw them in garbage next to pool for everyone to smell. Not an ideal place, especially for children.

Not worth the money at all. Staff is usually too busy to help residents with issues, Maintanence just sits in the garages for hours everyday, elevators break weekly and my family and I have been stuck in them in multiple occasions for 5 min or more. Can't wait to get out of here. They say they have a dig building but apparently dogs are allowed in any building, since we often hear barking in our non dog building. Only one pool was filled this year which for 4 buildings of 200 units got extremely crowded. The cleaning lady does a good job in halls, even though a lot of residence seem to not respect or care that they throw garbage in the halls. Apartments are being updated but with the cheapest materials that tend to break constantly. I could go on and on but instead please take my warning and don't waste your money here.

Thank you and have a great day
I would never recommend living at Park Place. The halls smell like weed every single day. There is peed and alcohol left in the elevators at least once a week. When management was told, they don't do anything and just tell you to call the police. Sorry, but the police can't always do something. The tenants are very loud and party at all hours of the night. Again, management tells us to call the police. So we did at least 6 times and management still never did anything about it. Management states they talked to the tenant, but parties kept going (even the night they were supposedly talked to) and police were always dispatched out. When we moved out, we forgot to take our Dish off the porch for cable and they said they took it down and charged us. I went there that same day and it was still on the porch. When we asked about it, they said it was the tenants that was now living they let my husband go back and take it down. No one was living there, so they lied right us. There is also a maintenance guy that sings up and down the halls extremely loud. When I was on maternity leave, they had to come check something in our apartment and he started singing IN our apartment and woke up my newborn. It's just extremely unprofessional. The management team also takes a long time to respond they even respond at all. We're still waiting our on deposit and it's been over 4 weeks. State law, we are supposed to get our deposit back within 21 business days. We emailed twice and left three voicemails for the management team and have yet to get a response. Ugh!! Park Place is the worst. Don't waste your money!!
? We are breaking our lease early just to leave this apartment complex - and it's 60 day notice and $3000 to do so, so it's not a decision we take lightly. Some of the problems we've had with this complex: Safety concerns: the police have been around the complex multiple times. I have personally witnessed what looked like someone breaking into a car and have smelled marijuana smoke regularly. Oh, and my $1500 bicycle which was locked up in the garage was stolen the first week we moved in. Maintenance: it takes absolutely forever to get them to respond to any issues. We had our heater go out in the dead of winter (in MN that is a big deal) and they took over two days despite us calling constantly to fix it. Trash is also a huge problem and one they don't seem to care about. The trash chutes are constantly getting clogged and when this happens the entire floor smells like garbage, yet nothing is ever done about it. Front office: one or two of the employees are friendly enough, but most of them are rude and don't have the time of day to help you. They have lost several of our packages - granted, these happened around Christmas when they were busy but it's unacceptable to have that happen once, let alone three times. When we moved in here, the rent was reasonable enough and despite the very dated appearance of the place we were willing to deal with the downsides. However, after a year they raised our rent over $200. Bottom line is, ownership is out to make as much money of possible out of their renters and could care less about them as people. I can't state enough how much I would urge someone not to live here.

You have all things like your own town home right here! The front business office has a great friendly staff. It a great home for your pets! They too can meet other pets. Better deals in the area so seek them out; however, should you end at ParkPlace and find yourself having to deal with management over issues, don't bother. No negotiations. $50 to clean the toilet here, $50 to clean a mirror there. Again, there are better deals in the area so shop before settling for ParkPlace

Management will sound sweet on the phone however, they will add $150 admin charges to the lease as well as water, trash and wastewater will not be included. Where as they will not talk about it with you on the phone and you will be stuck with the lease because you have to move in.

My husband and I really love the area and neighborhood but do not feel the apartment, or any apartment is worth the crazy hike in rent for the 2nd year. We received our renewal paperwork and the options were all over $100, going up to a $400 increase. The apartment isn't updated enough for the increase. Truly sad because we didn't plan on moving.
Nice location. The halls and parking garage smell funny and the elevators are questionable. The one bedrooms are a bit pricey but big. The community grills are a great feature.
Park Place apartments in Plymouth is great! I've lived here for about a year and have no major complaints. They keep the common areas (hallways, clubhouse, pool etc.) clean and well kept. Maintenance team usually responds to work order requests in a timely manner. The only thing I would complain about is the underground parking. The pipes leak constantly so there are always puddles of water all over the garage which smell absolutely horrid.... I haven't really seen any efforts to fix this, but if you can look past this its a nice place to live!
