Roughly halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta, Jacksonville is a small, rural town best known as the home of Jacksonville State University. The university serves around 8,500 students and operates as one of the biggest employers in the region. The local rental market caters largely to the college crowd, with a vast selection of affordable apartments, condos, and houses perfect for students, faculty, and staff members.
The town is also quite close to Fort McClellan, and many military personnel stationed there choose to seek off-base housing in Jacksonville. With the sprawling Talladega National Forest just minutes east of town, living in Jacksonville allows you to explore the vast networks of creeks and trails anytime the urge strikes.

Property Ratings at Park Place I , II, & III
Don’t waste your time or money coming to live at any of their apartments. It is overpriced for what you get. There are always maintenance issues and the maintenance either never fixes it or does shoddy work at best. Over the course of just a year, we were out of heat for almost two months, we’ve had a broken weather strip for the whole year, a poorly fixed bathroom wall, and other issues. Management is unreachable at times since they never keep their office hours. They tend to leave 30 minutes to and hour early constantly. Staff isn’t the friendliest and seem off putting sometimes. They might be okay while they’re trying to get you to live there but not really after that. Overall, it doesn’t seem very professional. Most of my friends told me again and again that I wouldn’t want to live here and that eventually I would come to hate it and I wish I had listened to them.
Lived here for a couple years now, the old management had a few problems but the new management is great! They are really kind and helpful when i have a problem and usually get me taken care of in a day or so. Definitely love being close to campus and hearing the southerners practice when im outside sometimes.
Upon moving in, the bathroom still needed to be painted, the stove needed to be fixed. This all took a week for them to fix after move in day. A week of living in the apt, one of the bathrooms ceilings caved in, this took another week to be fixed. The management is very unprofessional and don't know how to properly handle business. I will never live here again, whether it's park place 1,2 or 3. Never!!
