Country Lane Estates traces its history to the mid-1800s with two prominent citizens who influenced the current landscape of the area. Old Red Bridge, in Minor Park, was first built by Col. George N. Todd in 1859. The current Old Red Bridge, built in 1933, serves as a romantic reminder of the area's past. William E. Minor owned a vast stretch of land just east of Country Lane Estates that eventually became Minor Park in 1956. Before Minor owned the land, part of the Santa Fe Trail ran through the property.
This relatively quiet area is home to an array of mid-rise apartments and condos, all within a short distance to Interstate 435 and the thoroughfares around the area. Longview Lake and Overland Park are just 15 minutes to the east and west, respectively, making it easy to get anywhere from Country Lane Estates.

Property Ratings at Park South
Had problems with the apartment heating and cooling if you move into this apartment be ready to double or triple your utilities. They will give you the run around about it but nothing is ever fixed. Also there been several vandalism and windows smashed out of cars. There is no security present or good lighting. Management do not care because they do not live onsite.
The only helpful person in the office only works on weekends. They only have 1 maintenance man who is overwhelmed. There was no maintenance man for 3 months. The staff constantly changes. This place is managed poorly. Our car has been broken into twice plus the mailboxes. You can find way better for less. There is 1 washer and 1 dryer per building. Our washer was out for 2 weeks. The lady in the office solution was to do our laundry elsewhere. What the heck is rent for?? The light has been out for 2 months.they claim work orders have gotten done when they haven't. There is no countability. They did put in doggie stations. Which very rarely ever get emptied and the bags rarely get filled.

I have been at Park South since 2010 and am delighted to live here. The staff is cheerful and professional, promptly responding to questions and concerns, and addressing maintenance issues regardless of cost. Significant improvements have been made including painting the entire complex, upgrading to LED security lights, and paying the infrastructure costs for Google fiber. Pet clean-up stations have recently been added. The community is friendly and diverse. I anticipate being at Park South for many years to come.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Buildings are falling apart, maintenance requests take 1-2 months, recurring bug problems, my first apt at this complex completely flooded 4 times before I was finally moved to a new unit, which brought with it its own issues and no compensation. Management is terrible and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Oh and they also tried increasing my rent for no reason.
We have lived here for 7 years. Big rooms and great neighbors. Have recommended to others.
