Downtown Stamford sits in the heart of the city and operates as a thriving central business district. Its economic significance to the city is partially attributed to the retail establishments, university campuses, and Fortune 500 company headquarters that call this area home. With an increase in residential high-rise buildings, downtown Stamford has become known locally as “Little Manhattan.

Property Ratings at Park Square West
The hot water pressure is so bad here, especially if looking to move on to the 9th floor of the building. Our washer will stop working because there is not enough water pressure to keep it running. We have emailed and have spoken to the management team that includes the property manager as well as the regional manager about this issue alone for a year now. They say they are in the process of getting it fixed but nothing has happened in a years time. There is no concierge so at night anyone can walk right in; the doors open automatically. No sense of security here whatsoever. The parking garage gate breaks every month if not weekly and therefore there are a lot of random cars parked in the garage that tenants pay a lot of money for monthly. There is not enough parking spaces for the amount of tenants in the apartment complex as well. People will create their own spots alongside the walls of the garage it is absurd. The prices of this complex compared to other buildings might intrigue you, but you will be disappointed and frustrated with the building and AJH management.
This is the worst apartment in downtown Stamford. They will lie and cheat you. Stay away. The place has gone down hill since the owners took over. The front office are the worst.

Horrible management. Love to gossip about everyone of there residents. Fire alarm seems to go off every other day. Water leaks every other week. I guess they forget to pay the heating bill because the hot water goes off every other month. They charge you $85 for parking and there is never any available. They charge you like 70 bucks for amenities and all they have is the worlds smallest gym, in comparison buildings nearby have pools and lounges and only charge $40. Maintenance is a joke, and never respond to anything. Avoid this place at all cost. Ending the lease was a nightmare and they over charge you for anything. Horrible Horrible Horrible. (I lived here for 2 years and hated it.) Also these 5 star reviews seem to be from the same person (probably management) if you click on the profile lol.
The reviews are outdated and talk about things that are no longer issues anymore. Everything I have seen has been very nice. Clean building, quiet, recently renovated. The old reviews are not applicable anymore
Terrible experience living here. The staff are rude and unprofessional. I woke up to a sink leak at 6am called the emergency hotline and nobody came until that afternoon. I informed them when I initially saw the water I was able to trace it from the kitchen to my carpeted bedroom. You're paying an amenities fee for nothing. Wouldn't recommend.
the lobby is almost always empty, the workers are extremely rude and I have had multiple problematic instances with the employees. My car was towed because they didn't put my car into the system, and oh.. no reimbursement of my time or money! I was told the roof was going to be opened for me (even though it was 2 hours past opening time) and I waited there at the door with my laptop in hand ready to do homework for 45 minutes. There are no amenities the gym is closed as well!! Save your time and effort, I will be moving out as soon as possible!

Thank you so much for the 5 star review and kind words:)
My wife and I have been living at PSW for the last couple of years, and initially had a great experience. The walls are thick and insulated, and we have never once heard noise coming from any neighbors. Leasing manager at the time (Josephine) was very nice and helpful. Then the building changed management companies and ever since things have been an absolute disaster. Essentially every tenant-facing employee was gone within a few weeks, and have either simply not been replaced or have been replaced with extremely incompetent individuals. Every notice or email sent out is riddled with grammatical and spelling errors (which isn't a huge deal on its own, but I think is relevant in trying to convey the quality of the employees that are now running this building and will be your only points of contact). Not a single email we've sent in the last few months has received a response without multiple follow ups over the subsequent few weeks. These were not small or immaterial matters either, but rather extremely important questions about our lease, maintenance requests, etc. The gym suddenly shut down one day and has been out of business ever since, the concierge is never at their desk so picking up packages is a huge problem, the fire alarm goes off regularly due to residents smoking marijuana. I could go on and on and on, but in the interest of both your and my time I will just say that I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUILDING TO ANYONE, EVER. This is the first online review I've ever taken the time to write, and I sincerely hope that conveys to you how strongly we feel about this building. I will be posting it on any and all apartment review sites I can find as I think it's really important that future residents know what they are getting themselves into. I have lived in seven different apartment buildings in Stamford over the last decade, and this is without a doubt the worst experience I have had.
I’m usually not one to write reviews, but I would definitely want future residents to know about this place. Ever since we got new management a few months ago, the place has gone downhill. The leasing office is never available when needed, maintenance rarely answers requests until you follow up countless times, everything seems run down and dirty and they still charge you for amenities that you don’t even have, like the gym downstairs that’s been closed for a few months. I’m still living in an unrenovated unit and being charged the same amount as a fully renovated unit. Our appliances fault often and maintenance ignores our 10+ requests. The garbage rooms fill up fast with trash and don’t get cleared out for a while. Our manager before, Josephine used to really get the community involved by planning fun events in the lobby and rooftop to kick off summer and holidays. Now, the staff is unfriendly and not overly helpful. I really love living in the Stamford area and this apartment is an awesome location downtown, but a lot of the issues have encouraged me to move out. Hopefully this management will change soon so that it can be back to the amazing living experience we had when we moved in a few years ago.
Management is horrible and not present. Maintenance never show up and does not properly repair. I was told my fridge would need to be replaced, but management won't approve it. Everyone complains of rats in apartment. Concierge is barely there which makes package and dry cleaning pick up/drop offs a pain. Management complains when residents who have perks don't offer it to them. Residents who offer perks or are favorites are given special privileges (ie- empty apartments for friends/family visiting, rooftop rental at no charge). Fire alarm goes off at least once or twice a week due to individuals smoking marijuana in the lobby. Teenagers vape in the halls. We haven't had a gym in a few months with no monetary compensation at is an amenity that is part of rent. Overall, horrible place to live and I would not recommend.
This building is the best I’ve seen. There is great concierge Service. Everything is nice and clean! Management is very nice and respectful and helpful. Highly recommend park square west!!

Hello There, We are very happy to hear you are enjoying the staff. Don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything you need. Thanks! Park Square West
I love living here...I been here since 2013 and since new management took over its only gotten better. Its a safe area and right downtown. They recently renovated the lobby and rooftop and also some units so it really looks beautiful. Jackie and Josephine are great and always respond right away. They try their hardest to make residents happy and also have small events for residents to interact. My dog carmine also loves it because its dog friendly and its an area that I am able to walk my dog around and feel safe.

We are happy that you are enjoying our renovations. We will continue to strive to PSW the best it can be! Thank you for your review.
Park Square West is a great location. Safe area, right in the main hub of downtown Stamford. The many surrounding restaurants make it hard to cook for yourself. The building itself is new-ish. Management does a nice job of painting the walls and keeping up with minor wear and tear. The building includes some perks: a private gym, roof deck, concierge, free coffee in the lobby and complimentary breakfast (mostly bagels) during the work week. If you splurge for parking in the building it will cost you extra. About $125 a month. But I found that the convenience was worth it. Also a safety plus as the parking garage is roof-covered and gated. The interior of our three bedroom is nice. Corner unit with great sunlight. New carpeting when we moved in. All modern appliances and in unit washer dryer. Management was quick to service any issues we ever had. Overall this is a great place.
