As one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Tacoma wrapped around a stunning historic high school, the Stadium District features lush hills, Victorian architecture, and stunning views of the bay. Stand on the sidewalk along North Stadium Way between the Washington State Historical Society building and the landmark Stadium High School and gaze out over the water. Then glance down -- the Stadium Bowl offers fantastic views of Commencement Bay and Puget Sound and is considered one of the best high school football stadiums in the country (you may have trouble focusing on the game, the view is so amazing).
The Stadium District is near Downtown Tacoma and is considered a business district. Here, you'll discover a variety of restaurants and shops, grocery stores and banks, coffee shops and corner bakeries. The district hosts several festivals and events, such as the Dickens Holiday Festival in December.

Property Ratings at Park Tower Apartments
Prior to living in Park Tower I lived in their building next door (the Olympic), when I ended up needing more space due to working from home in 2020, the staff was accommodating and allowed me to move to a 2 bedroom in Park Tower when it became available. Moving in to each building and moving out was an easy experience. I loved the location and being able to walk to restaurants and Wright Park. Office and maintenance staff were always friendly, helpful, and repairs were completed same day. Someone usually showed up to make repairs within a few hours of me calling the office. The building is quiet, and the other tenants were nice. There's of course crime in the area as some mention, but we never had issues with our cars being parked in either lot and just didn't leave anything in our cars. Street parking definitely fills up by the afternoon. Our unit did not have a washer/dryer, but the washing machines are paid through an app on your phone so no need for quarters. I never had to wait for a washer/dryer to open up. Packages are also always secure in the package locker room. Park Tower is also affordable. Overall, I loved my time at Park Tower.
Throughout the entire process of locating a place to live while still 2,000 miles away, moving in, living in Tacoma, and moving back home again after school...I clearly made the right choice finding Park Tower Apartments! Both Peggy and Brittany went above and beyond with every request and question that was put forth by me and my parents...they sent me photos, bus routes and maps of services in the area in advance of moving in. And knowing no one else out here, they were always friendly, helpful, obliging and knowledgeable. More concierge than "rental office" mentality. And that helpful friendliness did not stop when I moved in. I count myself very very lucky. I have loved the experience here. It's true what they say...LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! I had no car here and transportation was always conveniently available to anywhere. So were the grocery, bank, medical appts, book store, movie theatre and restaurants in easy safe walking distance. It is a perfect walking neighborhood. Beautiful victorian homes and gardens! Our building is right off Wright Park, designed by the same person that created Central Park in NYC and there is always something going on there... It is also a short and picturesque walk down Commencement Bay. I learned a lot about Tacoma and it's history thanks to some books I was lent by Management. The maintenance of the building itself is excellent. Their on-site staff and after hours service is expedient, professional and very service oriented. They not only "fixed" things; they also replaced them when necessary. The same day! They always kept an eye ahead and didn't waste time with "band-aid" fixes. The building's art deco decor as well as the landscaping and grounds were tastefully updated while in residence and it was managed without creating any inconvenience to me. Park Towers is the full package: Location, friendly residents,a professional and competent staff and a well maintained, safe and comfortable place to call home....
I moved here from out of state, desperate to find an apartment. When I first arrived to visit, the property manager and the other young woman who works in the leasing office were friendly because they wanted me to lease an apartment. This is one of these situations where the staff are fake nice upon arrival and continue to get more and more ridiculous as time goes on. This is a smoke free apartment, obviously. A few months after I moved in, the landlady was convinced that whoever was smoking on my floor was me, presumably because I'm young. She would bang on my door, incessantly, and ask to stick her head in and smell my apartment (without giving me prior notice). She was all around rude and would make inappropriate jokes to me in passing down in the lobby. When we would bring a potential renter upstairs in the elevator, she would pretend to be sweet and call me by a shorter, familiarized version of my name. Presumably, this was because she had a potential client in the elevator with her. The apartment was super outdated and the appliances were barely of this century. It is extremely overpriced for what they offer. There was a leak they could not fix; it continued the entirety of my lease. They only used the maintenance men from the building and wouldn't call an outside plumber. The windows are horrible at keeping in heat in the winter and the bedrooms are freezing because the vents don’t disperse air. The windows have no screens, which wouldn't be within safety code in any other city. I was promised I would have a foggy window replaced in my apartment upon move-in and it never got fixed. There are people constantly moving in and out; don’t let them fool you by saying that people stay there on average for 5 years (like they told me). The entry for the parking out back is uneven cobblestone. My tires got bubbles in them from the impact of driving over the uneven cobblestone and when I brought the problem to the office, they continued to pass it off as the city’s problem and said they couldn’t do anything about it. I paid $65 a month for a spot that required me to get my tires changed. They did sneaky things like slip notices in my door, dated for the day prior, telling me they are going to show my apartment and that they gave me 48 hours notice. This is just not an ethically run business. They are shady and I would steer clear of renting here.
The crime/car prowls around the Park Tower Apts. are constant. Homeless people relieving themselves and drug paraphernalia are always around for your viewing pleasure. The office staff will lie to you regarding crime stats, so I suggest you call Tacoma PD and ask for the crime stats. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!! Expect, after your first year lease expires, to get dinged with a rent increase ranging from $150.00 to $300.00 a month.
This was my first apartment on my own. I was really hesitant to move to Tacoma, but after touring the Stadium District neighborhood (which I didn't even know existed!!!)... I was sold. I toured with Brittany, who was as enthusiastic as I was. She was able to get me in the same day! The charm is undeniable! Although my apartment was in a different building than the main one, I always felt welcomed. Peggy really let me take the reins with my apartment. I wanted to replace the chandelier, and her maintenance staff came the same day to take it down for me. She always struck up a conversation with me, which made me feel good. Wish I could have stayed longer...but life happens! I stop by every now and then to visit the staff. All in all...5 stars. Thank you.
I just started renting a studio in Park Towers. It's my first apartment and I absolutely love it! The apartment managers are both amazing, friendly and very professional. They go above and beyond every time I ask them for questions/help or repairs. The maintenance staff are exactly the same way, always on top of their work and also smiling and greeting me when I pass by. The building itself is really well kept up and my studio is the perfect size for myself and my life style. There are a lot of cool little features I didn't notice on my first tour, but I really appriciate (such as the water pressure in the shower is always good and stays warm all the time, little things like that). The location is great because it's easily within walking distance to the local grocery store, many restaurants, and the park. Not only are there a lot of fun places nearby, it's also surprisingly very safe in this area. Stadium district is known to be safe, but it can be iffy sometimes near parks, but this place has been consistently safe and comfortable. The most common thing I see at night is people walking their dogs, which is definitely a sign that it's secure around here. I truly enjoy living here and suggest that if you rent anywhere, check this place out first, you'll love it!
The staff are reliable, helpful people; the place is clean and bright if a bit old-fashioned, and quite charming. The windows are first quality. The other residents are friendly and courteous; many are busy with their work, some wear uniforms. The neighborhood is a gem with good public transportation. I, and many others, plan to dwell here indefinitely.
Park Tower and Olypics apartments are great! I have a comfortable cozy studio in a great location with easy access to local stores, shops, and the highway. I have 3 small animals and they love having the wright park as part of their back yard. Management and the maintenance crew are awesome and take pride in their property!
My husband and I moved in to the Park Tower Apartments last May and we are very happy to live here! Living here is affordable, the building is very clean and very well taken care of, the views are incredible, our neighbors are wonderful , management and personal are super nice and helpful! All the issues i've had very addressed same day! If you are looking for an amazing place to live the Park Tower Apartments is the way to go!!!
I'm 21 and I moved here 4 months ago. I really enjoy this place!!! The neighbors are awesome and so kind. The walls are practically made of cement, so you can listen to your music pretty loud (I have surround sound). There are 2 elevators that are so large, I could fit my queen mattress in it AND more! Has a calling system to let people in. It's well lit at night, so walking inside in the dark isn't scary. It was an easy move in. The deposit was great priced also. I've only used the heaters twice so far. And it only took about 30mins to warm up the place! The landlords are so kind and generous. Every apartment has an amazing view. It's a little pricey, but its well worth the money. The only downside is a few flaws in the appliances, but other than that it's terrrrriffic. It's SOOO close to pacific ave where the bars are and super close taxi/uber/walk to 6th ave. I can't find a place better then this.
This a secure accessed building in great condition and it's 14 story's offer some great views. The office staff is attentive and maintenance issues are addressed same day.
I don't usually write apartment reviews, but this apartment community is so great that I had to. After I moved in I immediately felt at home. My apartment is really affordable, spacious with wood floors and I have great views of Commencement Bay. The apartments are in a quiet, safe neighborhood and the management is super helpful and have great knowledge about the area and places to visit. Any maintenance issue is resolved in record time, even a clogged sink!!!!! The apartments are within walking distance to everything from grocery stores, parks, dentists, great restaurants and even downtown Tacoma where you can visit the theatre. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
16 May 2014: Noise at night from 10:00 pm to until I left work at about 8:00 am. Emergency number called on 16 May 2014 at about 3:00 Am and it was pickup and hanged up. Issues never get solved at Tower Apartments.
Appliances are outdated, in the winter it was so cold we slept on a mattress in front of the heater because the heater does not dispose warm air. Windows are exceptionally poor and let cold air in which makes it impossible to warm up a room. The rent is clearly too much for what they offer, there are better places in Tacoma to live. Don't waste your money here! People are constantly moving in and out, as soon as our lease is up, we'll be out too!
I'm afraid this is one of those cases where the landlord seems considerate and friendly at first, but when you move out they take devious measures to claim your deposit. But I'll get to that. The apartment itself is decent, has a good location, and the management handles maintenance issues quickly. It was a good place to live, if not a bit overpriced. I was a responsible, mostly clean tenant and I took efforts to leave the apartment in the same condition that I found it. I cleaned it thoroughly, but I expected to get dinged for a stain here and there because hey, I'm not perfect. So I was surprised to discover that Park Tower had claimed all but a few dollars of my deposit. As the previous review verbosely states, it's wise to read the lease with care. Still, it's important to mention that landlords have the power to interpret the lease as it suits them, and as far as they're considered, a deposit is a justifiable bonus. If it gives you any indication of their greed, I left a couple of hangers and they charged me $10. It was my mistake for forgetting them, but how does this inconvenience anyone? Unfortunately, good, affordable apartments in Tacoma can be hard to find, so I'm sure you could do much worse.
Lots of noise. Even when the stuff has been informed of the apartments where the noise comes from, nothing has been done. Loud music at 3:00 am. Also, doors are constantly slammed in the middle of the night and daytime I was also told there is a "no pet" policy, but I have seen pets including dogs in the building. I would recommend not to live here. It is not designed for peace and tranquility.
I have lived here in the Park Tower for a little while now and can honestly say it is amazing. First off getting the apartment was so stress free. after applying the fantastic people in the office stayed on top of it all. i.e. quickly fact checking me and even dealing with my old apartment manager who is not the easiest person to get a hold of. After getting accepted we did the "move in inspection"! I feel like this is where a lot of apartments scam you a bit. they quickly check that things are in good condition or they don't mark down a lot of stuff so they can take your deposit when you leave. However this was not the case. The day we did the inspection I went in knowing I had to be picky and point things out so they could not rip me off... I was quickly put at ease when she was seeing loads of stuff I wasn't and even marking things down that i thought was no big deal. I was happy to know they cared that much. Then to put a cherry on how awesome they are there office hours are AMAZING and they are open six days a week which is great because I never miss any packages (which they notify you when you get (on your mail box)). They also already know me by name which just makes me feel like they give a dang about me as a tenet and not as there paycheck. honestly I cant say enough how happy I am here. I don't even need to own a car cause everything is so close. I work in downtown Seattle and can walk to the bus in maybe 10 minutes. I think the only down sides to this place, which are so small I think they are pointless is... parking - for those with a car I would recommend renting a parking space OR be ok with MAYBE have to walk a block. we live across the street from 3 amazing restaurants and bars so on the weekend it can get a little crowded. Garbage - we use VERY convenient garbage shoots here. they are a little small so just prepare for that. and maybe the laundry room - if your picky and don't like laundry rooms. all the machines are what appear to be new and work amazing and fast. (and are cheaper then my old place ("SWEET")). ok that is enough for now I guess. Anyways in short this place is awesome and I am very pleased I moved here.
