The name “Hell’s Kitchen” make scare you away from renting here, but believe it or not, Hell’s Kitchen is one of New York’s most loved neighborhoods. Over the years, this neighborhood has undergone substantial improvements, and today it is considered one of the safest and most in-demand areas for renters in the city. But don’t worry; even though Hell’s Kitchen is popular, there are tons of available apartments for you to find your perfect home.
Hell’s Kitchen is defined by upscale new and refurbished residential buildings, though rental rates are still quite competitive for Manhattan. A vibrant collective of restaurants, bars, and art centers will leave you with plenty to do if you live here! Numerous public parks are spread throughout the community, particularly the large De Witt Clinton Park near the waterfront, and Central Park is very close as well.

Property Ratings at Park Towers South
I have been a tenant for an year from Dec 1 2020 thru Dec 1 2021. I a writing a review because it's a nightmare to get hold off them. I have recently relocated from NYC to Miami and hence I had to send the keys via mail when my lease terminated (in time). I received a security deposit which is about 900$ less (some deduction is justified) and the break down they have given me is ridiculous. Rent due 235$ while I had paid everything or give me a better explanation. Damages to the wood floors (400$) which I cannot understand how because I had rugs everywhere in the apartment, when I left there were absolutely no new damages and it's not like I moved into a brand new perfect apartment w pristine flooring. They charged me for bulk garbage (100$ which is a bit much) which I would not complain about as there is some left over that I wanted to get rid off when I return however, there isn't anything that was outrageous in the garbage (it's my coffee machine, paper towel etc kind of useful stuff). Damages to refrigerators (50$)- for my 10 month stay and barely using refrigerator, how could I possibly damage the refrigerator, only they would know and again there was no explanation for this. And late charge, late charge for what? when I had put in the autopay. What late charges are you exactly referring to ? I wish they had taken pictures of these damages to show me what exactly they were referring to and I could've told them how it was when I started to rent the apartment. So my point is, I absolutely do NOT recommend dealing with this building management or maintenance as this isn't the best in terms of service. It is incredibly frustrating to go through this. The only reason they were able to do this is because I wasn't physically there during the inspection. I have lived in NYC for 12yrs and I have never had this kind of experience ever before.
Used to love this building but as another reviewer (in July) put it, the constant construction and things just not working is making this a terrible place to live. It's now late-September and the building continues to drill/dismantle apartments on a daily basis. From 9am-5pm with no considerations for people that live here. They have no desire to do anything about it but weak offers of "you can use another space for work" and "we have no schedule on our construction." Every week we have "the water will be shut off from 9am-12pm" one day. And in the last year there have been 2 laundry room fires, one of which shut down the laundry room for 2 weeks. Nothing from management. Oh! And did I mention the doorman that came into my apartment at 9pm at night without knocking, because he thought he had placed a delivery in here? I don't allow people to access my apartment to deliver packages. One also wonders whether he had other motives. I came back home to find that the air conditioner had leaked all over my bedroom floor and mold was growing on the wall. "We cleaned up!" was the answer. A little Clorox on the wall was all that was done. Don't move in. Just don't
Do not live here if you ever want to talk to anyone in management. I’ve been having an issue for weeks about extremely loud construction noise while trying to work from home. I’ve called and emailed more times than I can count and have received any help on the situation. Save your money and live somewhere else
