South Madison extends along Highway 18, south of Lake Wingra, to roughly the edge of Lake Monona. It includes several parks and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum. The neighborhood contains the popular Alliant Energy Center, a premier destination for concerts, sports events, and conventions. This large complex includes the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Willow Island, and the Exhibition Hall.
If you move to South Madison, you’ll appreciate the variety of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, especially as you get closer to the Alliant Energy Center. South Madison offers a terrific blend of city life, being less than a mile from Downtown Madison, and a suburban location filled with parks. Residents have plenty to do, from hiking the Capital City Trail to boating and fishing on the nearby lakes. Turville Point Conservation Park, located on Lake Monona, provides an additional three miles of wooded, flower-filled nature trails.

Property Ratings at Park Village
I have lived here for almost 2yrs. I did not like their first impressions. They have done things without warning. They have turned off hot water without warning multiple times and would leave it off for days. You try and call them, either pick up with an attitude or don’t answer at all. The laundry room is the worst.. where you put on your laundry card has been broken for over week and still isn’t fixed. There isn’t enough washers or dryers; most of them are broken. DO NOT LIVE HERE. YOULL WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BROKEN AND RUN DOWN THINGS!!!!

We are sad to read about your poor experience in our community. Our team works diligently to offer everyone a top-notch living. We are sorry you feel the maintenance of our property is subpar. If you have an issue, we ask that you report it to us directly so we can find a fast solution. From time to time, equipment and parts may not be readily available and must be ordered directly from the supplier. These things can take a little longer to arrive and we appreciate you being patient as we work to resolve the work order. We always aim to offer advance notice for any work that may affect the community as a whole. We are always here to help and we value your feedback. If you have any additional concerns, please call or visit the office. If we are assisting other residents, you are more than welcome to leave a message. We will return the call as soon as possible. Thank you.
Since the first day I moved into Park Village they’ve left a continuous good impression with me. The leasing office staff are very kind and respectful people who will help out however they can. Aside from the great people in the leasing office, the maintenance workers have also always been both respectful and successfully take care of whatever needs to be fixed in a timely manner. Lastly I highly appreciate how well they cater the grounds of the apartments, making a very peaceful aesthetic as you walk around the place surrounded by pretty plants and numerous amounts of trees.
They shut your water off once every month or 2, without warning, for hours on end. They do nothing about noise complaints, they just say to call the cops and there is nothing they can do about it even though the lease clearly lays out noise compliance, they just don't want to be bothered. We had a faulty smoke alarm, all maintenance did was hand me a new battery, which didn't fix anything, and said they don't have anymore fire alarms in stock. The path that runs through the courtyard is open to vehicles and constantly has people speeding through it and blasting music. Look elsewhere.

While we appreciate all of the feedback we receive, we are disappointed to read this negative assessment of our community. We assure you that our team strives to create a comfortable and pleasant place for our residents to call home and we apologize if you feel we have ever fallen short of this goal. Please know, shut-offs occur only when necessary maintenance or repairs are being performed. We aim to provide adequate notice so residents can plan accordingly. However, occasional emergency situations may arise that prevent us from doing so. With all that said, we'd welcome the opportunity to improve your stay and encourage you to call or email the office. Thank you.

not as shown. you have a problem and they don't solve it. they just say no and don't look for a good solution for the tenant

I lived here for 2 years and was a really good tenant. I did a lease buyout to leave early since I am 6 months pregnant and wanted to move closer to family. I paid my full rent for November but they wanted me out by noon on the last day of the month. I requested to have the whole day to clean given that I need to take more breaks being pregnant and also because I already paid for the whole month. The manager Tara offered to extend the move out time to the next day, even though I just wanted it extended past noon on 11/30. I cleaned the apartment and left it in spotless condition and vacated on 11/30 as discussed. It was only after I left that she billed me for an extra day, $30 despite never disclosing there would be a fee for a change she made, and charged me for a whole day despite her making the lease end at noon. I think it's deplorable to charge a tenant after the fact without disclosing there would be a fee. They never had an agreement from me for the extra charge, and showed their appreciation for my good upkeep and thorough cleaning by tacking on a last minute chargs.
This property is infested with roaches. I’ve been contacting the property manager for over a year about this property and there still is no resolution. Living here is like living in a jail inside your own home. The security cameras on the property are malfunctioning as my car was stolen and not a single camera captured it. Lastly, Wild life (ex: birds from outside) can easily enter into your apartment. My recommendation is to invest your money and space of mind elsewhere. NO STARS ACKNOWLEDGED!
I'm finding it more and more difficult to stay calm here, as I find I'm being charged extra for "no insurance" which I have continually had with no lapses in coverage since moving in. The buildings are quite old and the floors are very creaky, pray that you don't have an upstairs neighbor that likes to randomly pace the floors at odd hours of the night/morning. The kitchen and bathroom are incredibly small and have little to no natural light coming to it. The single window A/C unit makes it difficult to properly cool the entire apartment. I will say however that the walk-in closet and living room are of a decent size. The best amenity that this apartment complex provides is the coffee bar and free WiFi lounge within the leasing office building. The pool is a nice added bonus when it doesn't have hair, snot and debris mixed throughout. The exercise room is another added bonus, best used when alone and doesn't completely reek of BO. Most of the residents and staff seem nice enough to make this place worth living at. Located close to downtown Madison and several restaurants, it's right off the beltline which can make traveling to other parts of the city more or less difficult as there always seems to be some sort of collision along the road. All in all, I would recommend at least checking this place out if you plan on moving to the Madison area.
i love the coffe bar and the free wifi bro this place is the gr8est
The area isn't the best, as far as Madison goes. The Staff here are OK...they wouldn't win any awards for hospitality and friendliness.
it's on a great place to live in by everything that you would to be by a like the price you can't beat that and the size of the place.
