Property Ratings at Park West
The location is ok, it's next to LAX & LAXPD, so it can be noisy all hours of the night. The apartment itself is great, love the layout. Here is the major issue: The staff is horrible. everything takes several requests, I feel like I am arguing with teenagers to get them to do their homework just to get my billing corrected. They are dismissive, rude, and flat-out lazy. So far the only staff that seem to care about the property or their job are the maintenance team.
Poor living conditions. This complex is not properly maintained. There is mold in the unit and visible around the complex. Elevators are often broken, elevator near my unit has been broken for over 5 months. No security presence, cars are broken into often.
Elevators are ALWAYS broken, Stairs are sporadically placed with no useful destination, Door locks were changed without informing residents, everything in the unit is as cheap as it comes, our living room is a at such a bad slant we had to prop up the front portion of our couch with wooden beams just so we wouldn’t feel like wr were falling forward, architecture is garbage, I don’t think anything has been updated since the place was built, fire alarms randomly go off all the time, units are gross upon move in, laundry rooms are always disgusting, Gate for parking is often broken so it’s left shut or it’s left open for anyone and everyone to come as they please, constantly woken up by homeless people / drug addicts wandering up and down the street at 3am screaming and fighting, someone was assaulted in the gated part of the garage one morning while I was walking to my car, I’ve had to call the police several times since living here due to residents or events happening right outside the apartment including someone’s car bursting into flames, the park is unusable and has attracted a lot of crime including gang violence. The hallways echo everything especially people’s voices and air planes are extremely loud. This place doesn’t care about you. Management isn’t available. I ABSOLUTELY 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND PARK WEST!!!!!!!! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!
This place has no redeeming qualities. They will find ever chance to charge you fees and don't expect a refund on your deposit upon exit. My car was broken into twice, along with many, many others in the lot. The parking garage gate is constantly broken. The elevators are constantly broken. There was mold in my closet and windows. It's across the street from a huge homeless encampment. There is tons of noise from Lincoln Blvd and the airport. We paid for amenities we were unable to use. Literally, not a single positive. I could go on, but if I can keep one person from wasting their money or giving them business.. I'm happy.
As a long term tenant, don't. I will not be renewing my lease. Rents have shot up. The complex has declined steadily in upkeep and is poorly managed. Hallways and garage are rarely cleaned, the elevators routinely break down, and the noise from LAX and Lincoln Blvd is nonstop. Car break-ins are frequent (mine twice) and there have been several downstairs apartments flooded from water breaks and fire sprinklers in my time here.
First and foremost, the front office will lie to get you to sign the lease. They promise community safety, but in the 9 months I’ve been here I have experienced numerous car break-ins, mail box break-ins, and what appeared to be a gunshot sound where police were here all day and brought in a forensic person. Leasing office also mentioned that the noise will be minimal from construction and LAX, but that was also a lie. The construction next door is loud and, in some cases, causes vibrations within units. LAX is close by and you can hear the plane engines at all hours of the day and night. Your hard earned money is better off somewhere else. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
There is alot of vacancies for a reason its overpriced, airport is loud, elevator is always broken, guest parking is not safe someone broke into my friends car before and stole from it, property manager Duane is unprofessional,
Park West is nice and clean. I enjoy the 24 hour fitness center and heated pools. Also is big and plenty of space inside. Good place to call home.
Here at Park West things are usually pretty good. I enjoy the area. It is right next to the airport so you will always hear the planes passing by but it isnt terribly bad. The only thing I would say is a problem is the elevators are sometimes out of service and it doesn't get fixed very quickly, but other than that things are great!
This is the perfect apartment complex if you want to be within walking distance of LAX and the beach. There are a ton of restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance as well. The apartments are clean and if there is ever an issue, the front office is quick to address it. The staff here is incredibly helpful and always greets you with a smile! The common areas are always clean and the pool is spotless! My friends always say that my apartment complex is more like a resort than anything else! The gym is clean and has a variety of different machines. We have been living here for a year and haven't run into any issues! Love this place!
This apartment complex is incredibly safe and in a very convenient location. It is within walking distance to LAX, the beach, restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. The common areas are always very clean and they take good care of the apartment's curb appeal. There are some water leaks in the parking garage, but we have had no leaks in the apartment itself. Biggest plus is that it is PET FRIENDLY! If you don't own a pet here, you're the odd man out. Quiet complex and all of the neighbors are very friendly.
Poor security in parking garage in addition to electronic entrance gates and elevators breaking on almost a weekly basis.
If you like planes. Really though, a pretty nice view of the LAX on most sides, and across the street from a park and golf course. However, despite the lovely sights, it can be quite loud throughout the day from street traffic and planes. After living here for two years, the sound does become less noticeable after some time. Security is slightly lax and the maintenance could be improved with frequent breakdowns of gates and elevators, but they are repaired fairly quickly when they do. Neighbors are friendly and overall the community is for the most part laid back and cordial. Never had any problems personally in regards to noises or similar issues. The leasing office also hosts neighbourhood events and food trucks on occasion as well. Lastly the area is easy to navigate and plenty around IF you have a car. Public transportation isn't quite as accessible if you plan on walking much in my opinion.
Our house is our home. Its a place where we come laught, talk and grow. It is a our space the we can relax and have great rest. My children love to swim and run around. We are blessed!
The building itself is outdated and not maintained at all... but there are laundry facilities on each floor and the size of the bedrooms are fairly large.
