Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at Park Wilshire
The management is extremely friendly, they are thoughtful when calling but the maintenence is slow and terrible at providing ETAs.
Well, we paid for what we get. However, lashelle really knew how to sell it to us and started off so nice, but quickly once we moved in we found all of the flaws and deceptions she did not tell us about before moving in. We thought we were getting a great value but at the end of the day, we get what we paid for and that’s a disappointment because I could have lived somewhere else.
I've been living here since 2019, they've gone through so many different managers. Nothing gets done around here. The elevator is always broken. There's 2 elevators and the other one has been out of service for at least 6 months. Packages get stolen all the time, the water is turned off at least once or twice a week. The trash area is disgusting and has roaches and rats in the premises. I've asked for a refrigerator replacement back in July of 2023 and it is now January 2024 and I still haven't gotten the correct fridges. I also had a gas leak and it was never resolved by their maintenance. There's no sense of urgency with getting anything done here. Ever since the new maintenance guy took over, nothing gets done at this building and you're given so many excuses and run around. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself the hassle and disappointment. This building has so many issues and they're not being addressed.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. Although Lashelle is the only good thing about PW and affordable rent, so you get what you pay for.
Love this place, convenient, staff is the best, always get the Park Wilshire personal touch.
Overall, my experience was great...Lashelle is amazing and very friendly. The apartment is just what I was looking for, clean with new appliances, pet friendly and very friendly security. ??
Park Wilshire Apartments falls short of all the promises they make to its residents. The price you pay doesn't match the service you are entitled to. The problems are as follows; The mismatch furniture of the lobby, the elevators being costly broken, the amenities in shambles( The basement is ugly, no tv, broken furniture, broken pool table the gym uncleanliness), poor and untrusty customer service. The Wilshire apartments are a place to avoid. If you have made the mistake of moving in such is the case with me all you can do is hope and pray that your lease date comes soon otherwise, it's gonna be a disappointment after a disappointment. I hope the following issues can be fixed but I know they will most likely not be fixed such is my experience with Wilshire. I hope I do get a call from you guys but again I know that will not happen as well.
General maintenance of the building is deteriorating. The community spaces are either closed or in constant repair. The building loses water at least once a month.
Do not consider living here. The trash situation is unacceptable! After 9 months of requests, they finally fixed the door. It smells as you walk in and out you are bombarded by FLIES. The water has been turned off over 20 times since I moved in August 2022. I plan to move ASAP it is too bad my apartment the Penthouse is lovely but the lack of dependable management and service is untenable.
No one cares about your safety. Residents steal each other’s packages. Nightmare. Plus no where to park your car. Horrible
I have a great apartment on the penthouse level with all new upgrades. New ownership and management are excellent too.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! Since living here the building has gone through two owners. The new management team is not helpful and incompetent in helping their residences tackle small issues one on one. They always seem like they're in a hurry or that the resident is wasting their time. It takes several days for management to respond to an email or understand any protocol to help the resident. It's never a pleasant experience addressing an issue with them. My apt. flooded in March - right before the stay at home orders went into effect and there was no emergency line to contact maintenance after hours. I spent the late night trying to clean up the apt myself and keep my belongings dry. The very next day, I quickly learned the building and the management team was ill-equipped to tackle this issue in a timely manner. They refused to put me in a hotel or even allow me to stay in another unit until my unit was fully recovered. It was a nightmare of a situation handled with apathy from an incompetent management team. It literally took 4 days to have my unit back to normal. Most of the units STILL don't have heat which is an amenity they offer. Rent here is way too expensive for the lack of communication and service the management exhibits. This place does not deserve the 3 stars it currently has. It's shame to have such a beautiful building operated under carelessness.
It's a really neat old building and the owners are doing some cool improvements. Pros: Location close to downtown and right off the park (if you have a dog). Building is cool. Building is well maintained, really clean. Cons: There is apparently a bed bug problem, I see them treating units frequently. Units are tiny and there is no storage. Elevators constantly broken. Laundry area sucks, and it's expensive too! Resident center closes at 10PM making it practically unusable. "Manager" Debra is neither attentive nor professional. Office staff keeps odd inconsistent hours making picking up packages problematic. I wish they'd fix up the laundry area, add a tv or pool taable and some vending machines.

The Worst apartment experience here. If you think I'm judging, keep reading: Good thing and only good thing: residents are friendly here. Let's start: 1, absolutely no management, managers are friendly and professional only before you sign lease agreement! What about after, absolutely no reply to email, no answer to phone call, no follow up to your problem. 2, this place has two elevators. One is tiny, another is a 'manual' elevator, which means you have to manual close its heavy door! More frustrating is, both elevators break every single week! 3, this place has two gates also, once again, they are heavy, and they break every single week! 4, managers they are tricky. After few months here I was told no checks accepted after 3rd of every month, however it only shows "late fees applied after 5th" on my agreement. 5, managers they have no profession. I looked my agreement which is clearly not automatically month to month renewal, however, when I planed to move out by my termination date, they asked me for 30 days notice! So I went back and read my lease agreement again, it states clearly no requirement of 30 days notice unless you are monthly to monthly renewal. I sent my email, no answer at all I'll let you guys judge, good luck
