Directly north of Harvard Square, the city’s iconic cultural hub, Neighborhood Nine holds a premier spot in the heart of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sitting northwest of Harvard University, America’s oldest university, Neighborhood Nine boasts a diverse population, walkable streets, tree-lined neighborhoods, and unbeatable amenities.
With great public transit, excellent schools, charming residential streets, and a peaceful atmosphere, it’s almost as if this neighborhood is merely a dream. But luckily for you, it’s real (real upscale). This affluent neighborhood is known for its historic homes, nearby Victorian mansions, and rather pricey apartments, though what do you expect from such a notable neighborhood?
Stop by Danehy Park to play at its numerous athletic fields, explore Fresh Pond Mall’s supermarkets and retailers, and shop your way through Porter Square Shopping Center near the Porter transit stop. Numerous restaurants like Bagelsaurus thrive in this supportive community.

Property Ratings at Park77
I lived here for 1.5 years and really enjoyed the location, with Fresh Pond and Trader Joe's just a 10-minute walk away. The appliances and maintenance were great as well. Whenever I need something fixes, it gets done within a day or two. Also, if you enjoy late night singing in the shower, this room has really nice sound insulation!
I'm aware that there is a review that complains about neighbor noise, and we should have taken it seriously because it's VERY TRUE. Since we moved here, we have been dealing with two extremely noisy neighbors who have been disturbing our lives. We hear constant footsteps from upstairs early in the morning until well past midnight (sometimes even until 2-3 AM). Our upstairs neighbor is constantly walking around, dragging and dropping things (I have no idea what they're doing), which is loud enough to wake us up and disrupt our sleep or work. I understand that living under someone may involve some noise, but these are the NOISIEST footsteps I've ever heard in my life. It's even worse than a regular college dorm, which is unbelievable. We also have another neighbor living downstairs who occasionally plays musical instruments, even at night. The noise is loud enough for us to hear what song they're playing, and we can still hear it even when we're outside on the patio. It's evident that the apartment's floors are VERY THIN, and you can literally hear EVERY SINGLE STEP, floor shaking, and sound from musical instruments so easily. We’ve been complaining about this issue since we moved in, but it has never been properly or seriously addressed. It's ridiculous to pay this amount of money to live in such a noisy unit when there are many other options around here with better prices and management. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and my home has never been a place where we can relax or want to return. Please keep in mind that you will face these issues if you choose to live here!
We have enjoyed the apartment for the few months we have been here so far. However, we can hear a lot of the activity from the upstairs neighbors. They have kids and we hear jumping, stomping, dragging objects, and more during all hours. This goes beyond footsteps which would be tolerable. Our doors rattle at times and it can get loud enough for us to wake up from it. There is not very good insulation vertically and impacts our day to day living experience. The building overall is nice and its across from a park.
