Property Ratings at Parke Place
New leasing company employed recently due to a sale of the property. They raised by rent by 12% overall year over year. Just launched new smart home features that were not needed and are charging new tenants $35 for them (door lock, thermostat and water leak devices. Signs not clear on usage of pool area. Had to call the police recently as someone was out there on a cell phone using vulgar language and loud. Told management and all they did was send an email the next day to all residents saying "pool hours are...." instead of explaining the whole area is to be shut down to tenants after 10pm. Lights around pool were always shut down at 10 by previous management but not this group. They can't figure out how to turn them off. Lights on all night and come into our window as we are right next to the pool. Amenity charge each month and security gates are not working more than they are working. Do your homework before renting here. They don't listen to their tenants concerns - especially the one's that have been here since they opened - like us!

Do not move here! Management is terrible! They micromanage everything here, making you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable in your own home. They send out weekly emails letting the complex know the rules and regulations and how they are watching the camera's on the facility daily. We were told that the amenities would be done by the time we moved in but that was not the case. The pool was just finished a few weeks ago so we went over a month without that amenity and the dog park is not even close to being completed yet. This wouldn't be that big of deal normally, however we are paying for these amenities and expect that what we were told would be honored, just like we are expected the pay rent on time. Which by they way you will get a monthly reminder to pay your rent on time or you will be charge a daily fee for everyday your late. We have lived here for two months and in one week we have already had two mandatory inspections which is difficult for any working family with dogs. They said that we do not need to be here when they come but who feels comfortable with someone entering your home when your not there. The parking situation is another major issue. We were told that we did not have to pay for parking and that there is free parking available, however this was far from the truth. There is never free parking available so we purchased a covered parking spot but because of the parking issues and confusion we have other people constantly parking in our paid spot which is a distance from our home. This also makes it very difficult for family to come and visit and often causes people to double park in order to save a spot so their family can visit. If any issue arises management is unapproachable. Staff also lives on the premises making you feel like your being watched 24/7.
