There's much more to Champaign's sister city of Urbana than you might think. It is a lively college town, home to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, it has a long and fascinating history, and it is family-friendly and beautiful. While it is usually tied to its next-door twin, Urbana stands out on its own -- Downtown Urbana is the city hub, home to Market at the Square, a farmers market that began in 1979. The historic downtown features historic architecture, bike lanes (and plenty of bike racks), sidewalk cafes, period lighting, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants.
In addition to the university, Urbana is home to the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, a research institute located on the university's campus. The neighborhood attracts those with children, thanks to its top-ranking schools, and it features beautiful parks, such as Crystal Lake Park and Meadowbrook Park.

Property Ratings at Parkside
The rent is reasonable, maintenance is very responsive, and the leasing staff are friendly and professional. The 5 Green is close and makes frequent trips to campus if passive commute is your thing. The neighbors can be a nuisance, but everything about the property is good.

It is an okay property. They don't always come on time if you put an order. They keep changing leasing specialists almost every year.
My only complaint is that the air conditioning is not central air and there is only one unit in the living room so the far bedroom gets pretty hot. Other than that this is a great place to live and the staff is very friendly and quick to help with whatever you may need. I would definitely recommend living here.
I love these apartments. It's pet friendly and super close to the university and only 7 min drive to the vet hospital. There is a gas station right around the corner and Meijers is like 5 min away. The apartments are very well taken care off and the staff is amazing. They always answer my emails with questions and concerns very quickly. They are super nice! As a student I think the price is great especially for the amount of space I get. The only thing is sometimes getting deliveries from amazon might be difficult because of the locked front door in every building. With that being said, I think this is a very safe place to live in. I definitely recommend it.
Have lived here almost a year, so far very quiet and the staff is wonderful to work with. If I ever have a question they are very quick to respond.
The staff at Parkside is very helpful including the office and maintenance staff. When we moved in our apartment was very clean and the grounds have been nicely maintained year-round. It is very pet friendly and conveniently located. After looking at many apartments around Champbana I don’t think you can find a better value.
