Property Ratings at Parkview Apartments
The Parkview, a grand building from the 1920s, sits at the end of Madison Ave in Lakewood, Ohio. Only one property separates it from the Metroparks valley, the emerald necklace around Cleveland, where a steep escarpment plunges down into forest. The Parkview lies just about 200 ft east of some of the most spectacular sunsets one can see. The building's interior has remained much of its original charm; wooden staircases ascend on either side going up to the third floor. At floor level, a staircase descends into the basement, home to apartments A, B, & C. Apartment B is now where I call home, and since the 1920s has had two other tenants besides me and my roomate: a family that preceedes us for a 12-year stay, and the original manager. 9-foot ceilings and polished hardwood flooring dominante out living room with windows that bring in tons of natural sunlight one wouldn't expect in a basement apartment. Totally remodeled, the kitchen lies off to the side with granite countertops and exposed cabinetry. It comes complete with its own door from the apartment hallway. Together with the doors into our living room and coat room (yes, a coat room!) make for a total of three doors into our apartment, which offers peace of mind from fires for a basement-dweller. Walk-in closets and the original bell, buzzer, and intercom system from the early 20th century made this space impossible to pass up! I absolutely LOVE my apartment.
