Midwest City is a medium-sized suburb located about eight miles east of Downtown Oklahoma City. This planned community sits directly north of Tinker Air Force Base, making it an ideal suburb for military personnel. Most of Midwest City consists of residential neighborhoods holding affordable apartments and single-family homes for rent.
There are many events, celebrations, and places of cultural interest in and around Midwest City. One event is the “Made in Oklahoma Wine, Beer and Food Festival” held annually in May. This event includes a motorcycle show, live music, food, and drinks from local vendors as well as an air show. For military buffs, there is a display of several retired Air Force Fighter Planes located on 29th Street across from the military base. Additional green spaces in town are located along Soldier Creek and provide playgrounds, trails, and picnic facilities.

Property Ratings at Parkview Apartments
Miseriable experience! Front office ladies are extremely disrespectful. Upstairs neighbors flooded my ceiling causing drywall damage and mold. Front office told me to just deal with it and that it isn't their problem! I moved out shortly after and they tried taking it out of my security deposit! This is unacceptable. Stay away from this place at all costs!
I have rented all my life and I have never been treated so poorly after placing my application and my deposit. Management was extremely unprofessional. I withdrew my application from this complex. If this is how they act just starting the process, I don't trust management with dealing with any issues that may occur within the complex. I reached out to Summitland management and they blatantly lied to me. Very shady management and not worth the hassle. Plenty of other apartments in the area.
I have lived at this place for 4 years when something breaks it takes up to 2 weeks to get it fix and they don’t even fix the issue. But when you’re late on rent or even 25 cent short they will give you a eviction notice. I would not recommend they will try any type of way to get money out of you . They have a really bad roach problem with the apartment in the back due them never changing out the refrigerators or having the trash bins cleared out weekly .Most of the people employed are on heavy drug. If you want to keep your peace of mind do not move into park view
Be very careful when going to rent at this location. You will notice the positive reviews were done in the past with the previous management. They may say the deposits are refundable put this like many others statements is untrue. Roaches are at the location and Covid 19 is used for many excuses of not taking care of the renters. Unsafe wooden balconies screws and boards coming up and renters tripping over. If you still decide to move in as the rent is cheap(with people not staying). Make sure to request everything in writing. Use your move in check list and be very detailed. READ YOUR LEASE very carefully. This is not a dog friendly management team and you could be blamed for others negligence. Aside from that there are a lot of visits from the police. The flight pattern for Tinker is another issue with planes flying so low the car alarms go off. Also you are by the Fire and Police Departments meaning a lot of Sirens. Save yourself some grief spend a bit more to rent at a better location.
I am 100% disabled veteran. I write this for milltary families and other interested parties. 4 years here A/C leaked every year to a point of mold and bubbled paint that maintaince just cut a giant whole in the paint to solve never repaired. Staff in the office changed a few months back they are hateful and rude and will harass tenants. They claimed after 6 months waiting on a new dishwasher that they showed up without 24hr notice that CPS talked to them. Yet cps never showed up and talked to me and my kids and they didnt take me up on my offer to recheck my appointment funny huh. They wanted to charge me nearly 890 bucks to get an extra room despite all the maintenance issues I have had. Including a 250 "transfer fee." 1 of the 2 pools has only opened once and that was for a week back 2 years ago. They refuse to handle noise complaints. Sinks often back up with black water. If your lucky enough like me to leave they will be hateful towards new complexes you pick and those places will fight to get the required information from them. And they will charge you for pretty much everything beyond your deposit. So dont dare breath in your unit that's probably another 250 bucks. And ask for maintenance after putting your notice because they will refuse to fix things they can actually fix before move out date. Do NOT rent here.
Amazing place to live with amazing management! They are always so nice and so informative!
Worst place I have ever lived, shady people in office. Kept trying to get over on me and charge me more. Made up reasons to keep my deposit. Kim and Jessica were HORRIBLE and unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Not even on a good day. Make sure you keep proof of all your monthly payments and when you move out take pictures of the apartment!
I went and viewed the property at park view apartments Monday afternoon and spoke with the office manager and she was very kind and respectful and very understanding about children with disabilities. The property was very clean ,quiet and very pleasant. And I'm looking forward too the opportunity of renting a townhomes at park view apartments very soon . Some people are posting rude and hateful things about the office management and the property maintenance staff. But I highly suggest that you go to the property and viewed it yourself and form your own opinion. Sometimes people whom get evicted for lease violation/ failure to pay rent or they don't get their work orders aren't served as fast as they would desires. Even with all the bad reviews and comments talking bad about office staff etc. My point of view will remains the same. Even if I don't get apartment with them I would still recommend them too anyone. S.M.
I moved in Oct. and the managers are WONDERFUL!! You have a problem, they are on it.The maintenance guys are AMAZING & never found that before in apartments. They explain everything they are doing and have done. They are very friendly. Both, managers and maintenance treat you with kindness as they would like to be treated. GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. GREAT PLACE!! Highly recommended.
Great newly renovated apartments! The staffs are professional, respectful and courteous. They are very helpful and quick in responding to your requests. The complex is clean and well maintained. Being so close to the park and shopping centers is very convenient, also save your time of driving. Nice price for spacious apartments! I surely recommend Parkview to anyone!
When we moved in, the tile and wood floors and carpeted stairs were a disaster. Upon quick glance, they appeared clean, but once you walked around on them for a bit, you could start to tell how dirty they really are when the bottoms of your feet turned black. It took multiple rounds of wet mopping and steam cleaning the stairs to get them clean. You’ll be charged a fee if you don’t have the apartment professionally cleaned prior to moving out, however, they don’t seem to do anything with said fee. All the cabinets throughout the apartment are painted with thick white paint that they closed too soon, so when you open some of the cabinets for the first time, the paint peels off. The bathroom sinks and cabinets are coated in the same terrible paint. Just a bit of fair warning: if you put anything on the bathroom counters, it WILL leave behind any kind of color from the container it’s in (i.e., a soft, blue makeup bag leaving behind blue “stains” on the countertop). There is no form of “pest control” although the management will tell you that maintenance is coming in to do so. I’ve watched my security system logs to know that they simply just open the door, close it, and then leave. That would explain why we had all sorts of bugs and a mouse coming into our apartment through cracks in the kitchen floor and the sliding door – if you move in here, expect to do your own pest control. We had a broken air conditioner unit in our back patio for the entire time of our lease – one full year. Within the first few months of moving in, we made multiple requests to have it removed. Mind you, I did have my patio fence locked out of privacy and security concerns, but every time they said they were coming to get the unit, I would leave the gate unlocked all day. To explain the privacy and security concerns: we once came home to said air conditioner unit having being broken open and metal parts from the cable box in our patio area being scattered everywhere. Upon calling management, they didn’t really show any concern about the situation. We once had an issue with our heat going out on a Sunday morning in one of the coldest times in the past few years that also caused our pipes to freeze albeit letting them drip and opening the cabinets. Their solution? Bring us a portable furnace that couldn’t put off more heat than a television and open our gas stove and turn it on to unfreeze the pipes. They couldn’t get someone out to fix our heat until the next day.

Unfortunately we have no record of any residents with these issues so it is hard to respond to your particular issues, as you left no name. We do take the make ready process very seriously with many checklists before we rent to a resident. We typically have very pleased residents, whom choose to stay with us year after year. I'm sorry you did not have this experience. Pest control not only comes once a month, but once a week and we are confident in their services. Since we care about all of our residents, if you are currently living in the community, please contact us and we will be happy to address any maintenance issues you may have.
I loved living at Parkview! I had just moved from Arkansas here and everyone in the office was so helpful. This was my first apartment ever. It was actually my first time ever renting anywhere! Maintenance was always prompt and so friendly (even though I didn't really need anything but a bulb I couldn't reach changed) I never felt like anything bad would happen to me like being broken in to while my husband was deployed. I always felt safe. I would recommend these apartments to anyone.

It is so nice to hear that you had a positive experience living at Parkview! Thank you for the review!
I have renewed with Parkview since I like the apartment here. They have a very good, friendly and useful staff. They provide quick maintenance. The parking at here is very big. The room quite comfortable and clean. I'll be completely satisfied if the bug barrier screen has been installed for my windows as I mentioned to them from last year and never heard back. Another minus thing is the noise that cooler and heater system makes is too loud to get some sleep. Despite those two, I kind of like living here.

Lived here for a little over a year and never had any kind of problems with the leasing office. Only had two issues with AC/heating and both of the problems was fixed the same day I reported it. Very professional and understanding of any special circumstances that might arise from being in the military.
My husband and I moved into Parkview Apartments when we were first stationed at Tinker AFB coming from Ohio. He is in the United States Air Force and we were weary about finding the ideal place since we were unsure of the safety of all of the areas and staying in base housing is always a terrible idea. We decided to give this community a shot and were pleasantly surprised! My husband works nights and I work days so our number one concern was safety and I never had any issues with our cars nor did I feel unsafe walking our dogs to the dog park across the street and back while it was dark! We ended up having to put in a couple maintenance requests during our two year stay, but they were always fixed correctly and within a day or two. The maintenance men were always very kind and courteous with not waking my husband since he slept during the days. They even leave behind a little paper when they are completed explaining all of the work they did. I am a complete ditz sometimes when it comes to losing items, which every so often would be my apartment keys but they luckily have a locksmith on staff that is there during their office hours that saved my life (figuratively) many times - and he also kept the community free of trash! We stayed in their two bedroom town home and I can honestly say that I loved it. There was plenty of space for the two of us and it was beautiful. It also comes with a private patio and we were allowed to plant a garden and store our bikes and grill in it! My favorite part about staying here were the women in the office though, they were always so nice and I loved to sit and chat with them while the office was not busy. You guys are awesome! After two years, we found out we will be stationed here for quite some time and ended up getting a house with some land for our dogs and bought a horse but if you are looking to get a great apartment for a great price we 100% recommend it! It is so close to Tinker AFB, many shopping centers, and the park is right across the street!
