Property Ratings at Parkview Towers
I wanted to love this property so much, and I think if my unit was on any other floor, I would have. The management and leasing team are not helpful. I made 2 appointments with the manager, Denise, to tour and do a walk-though after signing a lease. She missed both appointments without any prior communication that she wouldn't be there, and only communicated with me about those missed appointments after I spent the day after calling and emailing with the main office to try to get ahold of her. I was never told by management or the leasing agent that the AC unit for my floor (3rd floor Pearl) was broken, and had been for almost a year, when I moved in in May. I specifically asked the leasing agent 2 TIMES, both at my walk-through and move in day, if the AC worked, and she told me it worked great. That obviously was a lie. I have a heat-sensitive dog. It is essential that myself and my animal have AC during the hot summer months. I only got communication from management about the AC when I pressed them for it. This issue affected an ENTIRE FLOOR. There was no communication to the floor about the issue, what was being done to fix it, and when the AC would be totally shut down for repairs. I was strung along all summer with empty promises that they will have a technician out soon to fix it, so I stayed in my unit thinking the problem would be fixed soon. They didn't get any technicians out to the property until the end of July, and they had to come out 3x times, and the AC IS STILL BROKEN after all three attempts to fix it. Management only offered me a unit transfer in the middle of AUGUST after I complained, and when I refused because the summer season was almost finished and it was too little too late to reasonably offer that as a solution, I was basically told they tried to help me and I refused, so it was my fault I was continuing to live in a unit where the AC didn't work consistently.
The apartments are pretty, but the landlords are... Well, very much the stereotype. Soulless corporate types that only care about running things as cheap as possible. Case in point: The A/C for our entire floor is broken. It has broken down every couple days, over and over again, for the entire year. But, rather than actually fix or replace it, they just jury rig and reboot it until it turns on again for a little while. Then it breaks down again, they claim they can't find a repair company (in Denver??), and they jury rig it again for a bit. Repeat, over and over again, for the entire summer. It's a mess. Until this week! When it finally went kaput for good, which means they can't sell apartments on this floor anymore. Suddenly there's a repair guy available and he's coming tomorrow. Weird how that works. On the plus side, they've raised rent by over 25%(!!) since January, despite the broken appliances. So this place is great if you want to pay more for less... ... But realistically, please don't rent from Four Star Realty.
Bad mgmt, the owner doesn't even care about this old bldg. They said new windows will be put up, 1 day windows will be boarded up, next day new ones will be installed. Windows have been boarded up 3 wks now. Questions or complaints are not answered. Renting to people that party all hours of night, drug deals going on. They don't care.
