Stretched along the Garden State Parkway, the Township of Bloomfield sits in Essex County adjacent to the Township of Montclair. Bloomfield is regarded as an up-and-coming area, boasting convenient access to New York City via major roadways, highways, buses, trains, commuter rail, and light rail. Bloomfield is also close to two major airports, Newark Liberty International and LaGuardia.

Quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants line the downtown area on Broad Street in Bloomfield. Large local parks such as Brookdale and Watsessing provide plenty of options for outdoor recreation as well as the behemoth neighbors of South Mountain Reservation and Eagle Rock Reservation. Property Ratings at Parkway Lofts
I have been living here for a year now, and regret my decision, this place is awful, nothing ever gets fixed on time. The gates and elevators are constantly broken. One of the gates has been broken since July 2023 and its Feb 2024. Dog poop everywhere. Management is aware of all the issues but don't do a single thing to get anything done. Don't fall for the false advertisement of luxury living, you are better off living at New York Penn station with all the homeless people.
NEW RESIDENT EXPERIENCE: Poorly working appliances NOT communicated prior to move in. Actual experience inconsistent with property amenities description. Wasted time and energy costs with no resolve. Untrustworthy Maintenance/ Repairs. Management poor communicators, lack empathy. Lost salary behind taking time off to be present for maintenance appointments. Washer/Dryer remains unusable. Using hangers to air dry clothing around apartment. Washer/Dryer way past their prime appears to be leasing agent tour props at this point. Units don’t actually clean your clothes, they make them dirtier. Appliance replacements work worse than the last. Parkway lofts is mostly marketing. Actions speaks louder than words. More detailed unsatisfactory experiences to report. This has been a nightmare. Move in at your own risk! Dear Parkway Lofts Management, Don't waste your time replying with copy/paste generic apology and invitation to talk. Your onsite managers like to ignore/divert calls to avoid these matters. Best
Go somewhere else that respects your time and money. I went through the whole application process to be both denied for 1 apartment which most likely had 10(+) applicants and lose my $1000 apartment hold deposit. That is right you pay for both the application and to hold an apartment which isn’t guaranteed and then told you aren’t getting your $1000 deposit back… BEWARE!!

Hi, thanks for sharing your feedback. We appreciate the chance to clarify. When your application was processed, only $1100 was submitted, instead of $1200. The third-party application processor was unable to continue with the application without the full payment. We sent over the link to pay the additional $100, but it was never submitted. We are now looking into how the fee can be returned to you. Please don't hesitate to reach out so we can best coordinate on this. Our number is 201-308-8200. We look forward to resolving this to your satisfaction!
I lived in the building since Nov 2017. My overall experience has been good at times and less than desirable at others. However, when I look at the entire experience as a whole, I must say it was overall pleasant and good. When I first moved in, I was in a Studio, a year later I moved to a one bedroom unit. while in the one bedroom unit I've had numerous concerns from a neighbor. mostly about a dog barking or loud tv/music. I had been called by the front and asked to come home due to the dog barking; however upon arrival home the dog wasn't barking. After speaking with office about my concerns, specially Melanie and Kamil, they were able to get me into another 1 bedroom unit on the same floor. Ultimately, I did not expect the property management company to try to work things out. I was expecting to have to up and move during Covid, which would have been rather difficult. The building/property management exceeded my expectation and showed ability and flexibility when working with myself and partner to make the situation in the building liveable for both myself and neighbor.

I lived at Parkway Lofts for 4.5 years - i moved from Manhattan. It was a great home for me; just a really easy set-up. Near the train to get into NYC, ample parking, doggo friendly, cool apartments, great staff, fun outdoor spaces for get togethers... Melanie and her team do a great job creating a community for everyone.

Thank you so much for this wonderful 5 star review:)
We had the pleasure of calling Parkway Lofts home for two years. The building is beautifully maintained, with all of the luxury amenities one could ever desire, and stellar rooftop views of Manhattan. What sets Parkway Lofts aside from other residences is the management. The Property Manager, Melanie, provides utmost professionalism and high touch service to all of the residents. She aims to ensure that the property feels like a home for everyone, and she certainly succeeds! We were sad to be relocated for work and have to leave such a wonderful community!!

Thank you for this 5 star review and kind words! We love nothing more than hearing that our residents are experiencing the quality life and service that we strive for on a daily basis.
I lived in thai building for 5+ years (one of the original tenants). I witnessed three different management companies (the first and last were fantastic, the middle not so much). Loved my high ceilings and loft 1 bedroom apartment which was basically a 2 bedroom. I have to say the current property manager Melanie brought the place back to life and a pet friendly building that it was marketed to be. I would live there again if I was ever to love back

I lived at Parkway Lofts for 4.5 years. Just a really good place to live and work in the city - really nice restaurants in Montclair, the building is clean and safe, the amenities are fab (gym, roof deck, bbq, fire pits, media room etc). I never had any real issues or maintenance problems. The high ceilings are beautiful, all in all - just really comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this kind 5 star review.
I Lived here for 2.5 years and it was an excellent option for what I was looking for at the time when relocating to NYC area for work. I didn't really want to live in the city but didn't want to be too far either. The staff were always good to me and I had no issues with them in taking care of any request. Thankfully for me those requests were few. I had one of the studio apartments which were the best studios for your buck in the greater NYC area. I was almost like having a 1 bedroom as you have a little bed nook, just no door. The studio is large enough to feel comfortable; no Murphy bed stuff. Your fellow tenants are typically quite friendly, I had no issues with others people. Those that have lived there for awhile start to create a nice community feel within the build. The gym is fantastic. The terrace has a nice view of the city in the distance. You are right on the Watsessing Train line/ 40 min trek into the city. The building in my opinion is well maintained and most rooms have like 25 foot high ceilings. Would move back if I ever had too.
I've been a resident since March 2017 and I love it. I've lived in different places in the world and for the first time it is a joy to come home. I owe that to the staff at Parkway Lofts. This is a wonderful place to live for all ages.
We are "empty- nesters" who lived in Ridgewood, NJ for over 25 years and continue to work in Bergen County. With our children grown, we were ready to give up our large home and the expenses that went with it. We were not, however, willing to move until we found a place with a "Wow" factor. The Parkway Lofts definitely "fit the bill!" In June 2015 we moved into a unit facing west with a view of the Watchung Mountains and beautiful sunsets. The 20 foot LED windows and the thick concrete walls between the apartments make for an almost soundproof living environment. Also, we have easy access to the Garden State Parkway to get to our jobs in Bergen County and the train to Penn Station in NYC is just steps away. We agree with the comment made by many residents that the Parkway Lofts is much like living in a luxury hotel. When you enter the attractively decorated and immaculately kept furnished lobby, you will be greeted by a courteous and friendly concierge such as Anthony who knows the names of all the residents. Adjacent to the lobby is a two-level fitness center and on the second floor there is a large party room complete with a billiards table, a theater and a small grocery store. From the roof-top deck there is a terrific view of NYC. Covered parking is available under the building or in a multi-level parking garage. The manager, Christina, lives in the building as do some of the other leasing agents. She is very conscientious and she communicates regularly with residents by email. Christina is constantly overseeing improvements to the complex, including an extensive landscaping project that was completed recently. In response to input from residents, she is currently proposing major security upgrades to Greystar. Plans are in the works for a swimming pool to be constructed for use by next summer. Social events are held on a regular basis so that residents of all ages can get to know each other. Maintenance requests are always answered in a timely fashion and the building superintendent also lives on the premises. Having found this unique, gated, pet-friendly complex with its' numerous amenities, responsive management and staff, as well as friendly residents, we have never regretted our decision to move to the Parkway Lofts!
My girlfriend and I have lived here for about 8 months and couldn’t be happier. The building itself is well maintained and breathes a modern industrial atmosphere at its core. A helpful 24-hour concierge as well as a great management team is always willing and available to address any of our needs. The loft style apartments are one of our favorite styles of units taking full advantage of the high ceilings and windows offering up some great views and allowing loads of light into almost every room. As I commute into the city daily, the proximity of Parkway Lofts to a direct train to NYC is beyond ideal! In addition, Hoboken and Upper Montclair are just as easily assessable by train for a quick dinner or a weekend outing. The two-floor gym is perfect having basically everything you would need to get in a good day’s workout: weights, machines, treadmills, punching bag etc. The media room is great for hosting a larger get together or even when the management team decides to host some sort of event including raffles for prizes and food! There have even been a few nice evenings as well where we managed to be the only ones relaxing out on the roof deck that overlooking the NYC skyline to kick off the weekend (can’t wait for winter to be over to use this again) I think the only amenity that we haven’t used as of yet is the dog park, but I’m sure I can only put that off for only a few more months ?

This is the perfect place for NYC commuters. With a direct NYC train in walking distance, a cool, hip and industrial feel; this building is one of the best in suburban NYC. We love the gym, billiards room, movie theater, snack room and especially our well designed unit. The staff are very friendly as well.

Our apartment is everything we were looking for with enough space and bedrooms, bathrooms as well as a great building and awesome commute
My place is great and everything we hoped we could find in the tough NYC/Northern NJ area
We were looking for a specified amount of space (over 1000 sq feet) easy commute to nyc and central jersey. That takes dogs and pets and has a gym, doorman. We also wanted 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. We also really like loft style apts. we got exactly what we wished for! Thank you Apartments.com
I read that complete review he or she posted and it is completely false. Although the prices are high you get what you pay for. All those comments about the gym are so wrong and the only thing I can say to anyone looking to rent in the building is just come check it out for yourself. I don't know anyone that's trying to get out of their lease. And every every every email I send gets a response. As far as dog poo, that happens everywhere because of lazy people but management has addressed. The building is brand new, it's cool spacious and ugh ceilings for those that like modern amenities. I've been in this building for four months, one of the first to move in, and I absolutely love love it. Having lived in silk mill lofts for a year (dump) I can tell you this building is the best in the area. And speaking of the area, it's fine if you're not a racist and love diversity. The buildings are still a little old in the area but it's safe and everyone is very nice.
