Located in southern central Mississippi, the city of Brandon takes up about 21 square miles and has a population of nearly 16,500 people. The city itself is known for its rich history; even before the official settlement of the area, this was a very popular site for Native American activity. As such, there are actually a number of sites in the city that are on the list of the National Register of Historic Places. Furthermore, the city is widely-known for its theater productions, making it a popular destination for those who want to catch a live show or play.
Overall, Brandon is a great place to live whether you are an individual or have a family; its relatively low crime rates, diverse culture, and booming economy make this an in-demand place to live as well. As such, finding rental properties is not always easy. It is best to start looking sooner rather than later if you do not want to end up on a long wait list.

Property Ratings at Parkwood
I lived at Parkwood Apartments for over 17 years before moving out of state to be closer to family. One of the things I enjoyed most was the peace and quiet. During the time I was a resident, I had several new neighbors, all of whom were very considerate. The location was perfect. Close to everything I needed without a lot of traffic. A canopy of trees around the complex helped to provide some privacy. On the rare occasions I called the office for maintenance, the response was always prompt. I am very grateful to the managers and maintenance personnel. I would recommend Parkwood to anyone who can appreciate affordable peace and quiet in Rankin County.
I had a great experience at this apartment. Leaving here was bitter sweet. If it wasn't for a job opportunity I'd still be there. They were really good about keeping me updated on what's happening with the apartment. The neighborhood was quiet, clean, and peaceful. P.S. people mind their business ;)
The management was the issue with my time being there!! The maintenance man and lady there were super sweet. Living there is worse than living in a college dorm. The manager keeps tabs of visitors, they change $50 each night a guest is there more than 2 days, and he leaves notes instead of talking to you. Look somewhere else, especially if you are young. There’s also a smoking fee and the manager is aggressive when complaints are made about other tenants. He gets negative/bad reviews removed offline also. That alone should tell you to run. Previous people who applied to live there can tell you how rude and passive aggressive the manager is to them.
Parkwood is clean and quiet. The new office manager is great to work with, and maintenance is taken care of very quickly. The grounds are kept clean. The location is great with easy access to grocery/retail/interstate. Highly recommend.
