From the sandy Hoffman Beach on Lake Parsippany to the beautiful homes in tree-filled neighborhoods, Parsippany exemplifies New Jersey's "Garden State" slogan. The town is award-winning, often topping "best" lists for places to live, and it has been a "Tree City USA" for more than 40 years. The town's history dates back to the first Dutch colony established in 1611, and several historic locations provide a glimpse into the town's history. One of those locations, the Benjamin Howell Homestead, was built in 1763. Another, the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, was designed and built by Gustav Stickley -- the only home he built for himself. The museum offers guided tours of the 1911 homestead, which provides a unique glimpse at the arts and crafts movement.
Parsippany wraps around two large lakes, Lake Parsippany and Boonton Reservoir. It is home to several parks and golf courses, adding to the natural beauty of the town.

Property Ratings at Parsippany Gardens
No security or CCTV cameras. Parking is open. Someone came and broke my car window
The community is too close to the freeway and it can be very noisy. Also the apartment wall does not block the sound. You can hear people talking or different kind of sounds from people living next door or understairs...
There is no heat in the winter, there is no central air in the summer. Flimsy broken blinds, everything needs to be fixed, and the horrific pink bathtub makes me sad. Please help, moving out soon. I don't have a good paying job at all. Just a student trying to make a living.
wooden floor shakes !!, past century heaters, highway noise, no staff in leasing office, parking is away from most of the apts, rent also not cheap. The only good thing is there website with Photoshop photos. Dont get fooled by it.
Staff Won't return calls, responds minimally and extremely rude. Property is in bad shape and apartments not as "upgraded" as they claim
dont stay in these apartments, they charge you for heat. water with their own calculator. $310 for room heat and $47 for hot water i paid for 1 month
This place is pre-historic old. The apartments are extremely, outrageously expensive for what is offered. Bathrooms have never been updated since the day this apartment cam into existence. Insulation of the building is horrible. You can literally hear everything in your neighbor's house. The apartments are designed in a way that some houses on the first floor are carpeted and the houses on the second floor have hard wood floors. The building insulation is so disappointing that if the upstairs neighbor drops even a pin or a needle the sound will wake you up from your sleep. The apartments are so poorly maintained that you start fixing one end and the other falls off. The apartment management charges you outrageous amounts of money for things like parking decals. They make sure that your car is towed the very day you move in. The closet doors are in such a bad shape that there is no point of actually having those doors. Apartment management is extremely rude and inefficient. They charge you for anything and everything, also, if you lock yourself out, the super has also asked for a sum of $150 to open your apartment. They don' have a gym, not even a pool, they don't even provide you free parking for two cars and will charge you $100 extra for the garage, which they claim are very limited and I have hardly seen all of them ever filled. The apartment is not equipped with central heating and cooling as they have no provision for installing them. Even the slightest weight of your toe would make the entire house squeak. They charge you the highest rent in the entire neighborhood for the oldest and horrible apartments. No wonder why people hardly stay here for a long time. This place is outright disgusting.
I was shown an apartment someone still lived in and it was a mess. Shoes and clothes overflowed to the hallway. The buildings looked old and not well kept. Definitely would not moving there.
Great location with good neighborhood. Maintenance and amenities are ok.
