Nestled alongside the Raritan River in north-central New Jersey, Edison is a tranquil suburb with a rich history. The township was the site of Thomas Edison’s famous invention factory, where the incandescent light bulb was perfected and sound was first recorded. Aside from the township’s name, Edison honors the renowned inventor with landmarks like Thomas A. Edison Park and Edison State Park, which contains the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park.
In addition to its historic charm, Edison offers residents top-notch schools, vibrant shopping centers, and lush parks in a central locale. Although residents enjoy Edison’s quaint atmosphere, major cities like New York City and Philadelphia are both within an hour’s drive of the community, placing residents within close reach of countless metropolitan amenities. Commuting and traveling from Edison is simple with convenience to Interstates 95 and 287 as well as Newark Liberty International Airport.

Property Ratings at Parsonage Hill Village
Talked to a lady over the phone and scheduled a tour. Got MULTIPLE reminders for the address and floor plan, drove 20 minutes to walk it only for the leasing office to say that floor plan wasn't available and the only one available was the one with 400 sqft less. Was lied to and wasted my time.
Went for a SCHEDULED viewing August 26,2020 ... The staff over the phone was pleasant. When me and my child arrived we noticed the units are beautiful on the outside (well maintained). Went straight to unit due to COVID, met maintenance upon arrival to gain entry. Unit is very spacious with netted balconies. Now here’s where the unit viewing turned for the worst... The unit had dead roaches all over it, from the tub, to the sink, floor; I mean EVERY WHERE!!! Creeps... so I phoned the office staff after running out the apartment to ask was it a Bad Roach Infestation? Was told it had been treated, I mean they couldn’t lie. So not only did you schedule me for a viewing, but NO ONE MADE SURE THE UNIT WAS CLEANED AFTER YOU TREATED, that’s poison that the unit is treated with. But Thank GOD I SAW THIS PROBLEM PRIOR TO SIGNING A LEASE!!! Hopefully this helps someone else.
