Property Ratings at Pavilion Towers
I’ve lived here for 8 years. Management is wildly unprofessional and non-responsive. My car was vandalized directly in front of the B building and when I requested footage for my insurance, the manager could not provide assistance. I was on the waiting list for over 1.5 years for parking in my building. Food deliveries aren’t allowed upstairs for “resident safety” and residents aren’t allowed to access their mail except between 9am-6pm for mail safety. I have gone over 5 times without heat or hot water for longer than 24 hours. Please do Not Rent Here.
I feel very safe here in terms of security and the rooms are spacious also staff are very welcoming especially Sally and I will recommend this apartment to everyone thanks.
“I had a wonderful time living here! The apartment itself is clean and nicely decorated. The location is great, great restaurants, near to midtown and NJIT stations are just a short walk from the apartment. you arrived to Manhattan in 23 minutes The high level of security And i like the supermarket inside the building and the staffs is friendly especially sally )) if I will back again for sure i will come to pavilions apartment
Good place to live, by the Broad Station, everybody is really friend, the sales agent, Sally was amazing with everything. The laundry is basically new, they are always making renewal, has a portal when you can put all your issues, so it’s a good deal. I really appreciate my choice!
The lady I spoke liar to stated there was no apartments available. And then, when I contacted them again they stated that was apartment available. When I asked her for more information she couldn’t provide me the information I need like a down payment, credit check and etc. I will not recommended this place.
Location is good! Property management is not good!
My fiancé and I recently left New York and moved into the pavilion towers and let me tell you, it’s the BEST decision we’ve made. Since we met with our leasing agent, Sally, she treated us with so much hospitality and carefully answered all of our questions. She gave us a tour of the place and it was love at first sight. Any issues in your apartment that needs fixing or you need someone to take a look, a service portal will be provided to u to file any complaints where it’ll get handled in a timely manner. I also want to thank Nadia for being so attentive and very courteous with any of our maintenance issues. We enjoy the convenience of paying our rent, submitting any service issues on our portal. We have no complaints here and we’re truly satisfied with the decision we’ve made. If you’re thinking pavilion, look no further! Ask to speak with Sally and I promise you, she’ll take care of you! GO PAVILION!
The Property Manager, and leasing specialist, persist in giving me the run-around and in not being honest with me. I inquired about getting a storage unit and was told, "the key is missing, come back on this date, as the person who has the key is away". I came back, was told, "The person can't see you right now. He's at a meeting. Hopefully eventually you'll get the space" (!) I was then told that the exterminator needs to check my apartment for any infestation, as I couldn't carry it from one part of the building to another while I was moving my things (which made sense to me, and I was fine with that.) Exterminator said apartment was okay, I sent an e-mail to Nadia and she never got back to me. All I want is a storage unit. What gives??
New management company has really turned things around here!! You can tell that they really care about the building and about the residents! The office has been great, maintenance is on top of their things and fixes issues immediately, the building is super clean, security is great, and they've really done a lot to make The Pavilion Towers a more enjoyable place to live at! They added lovely lovely benches and tables to the outdoor garden area and so many other things that have made these buildings a real joy to live in compared with the previous owners and management companies. Keep it up!!!
Recently moved here and loving it! Staff has been great, both office and maintenance! Views from my apartment are incredible, the buildings common areas are clean, and it's a second away from the NJT train station and the bus drives through the parking lot of the property!! Doesn't get better than this!
This place is rat infested. Roaches in hallways and apartment. Trust me this is the worst place to ever move to.
The security is good , and it's easy to get buses to downtown all times.
this place does allow animals! plus maintaince service got their license from a cracker jacks box prize. more over low heat and when it cold out side, the windows turns into ice crystals. plus the land lord and office assistance are very unreasonable and won't work with you with any situations just hand over your money and shut up. people hear leaves the apartment doors open so the bag cooking smell goes all over the hallways and into your apartment! Plus there is so much noisy next door neighbor and weed smoking people here as well. My advice is to walk away from this place and finding something better. plus there is a crack house drug dealer in this area. Pavillion sucks and the worst place you can burn and waste your time in.
THE PAVILION IS THEE ABSOLUTE PITS. THE BUILDINGS HAVE GREAT POTENTIAL AS THE SURROUNDING AREA IS ON THE COME UP. HOWEVER, MANAGEMENT IS EXTREMELY POOR. THE SECURITY DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. THEY DON'T TAKE PACKAGES, OPEN DOORS OR EVEN PROTECT THE BUILDING. AS THEY ARE NOT AT THEIR POST MAJORITY OF THE TIMES AND IF THEY ARE THEY ARE CHIT CHATTING WITH TENANTS AS IF THEY ARE HANGING OUT INSTEAD OF BEING ON THE JOB. REQUESTING THINGS TO BE FIXED IN YOUR UNIT WILL BE ASKED SEVERAL TIMES. AND WHEN THE ALLEGED MAINTENANCE PEOPLE FINALLY COME THEY ARE NO NOTICES AND OR RECEIPT OF SERVICES RENDERED. I SAY ALLEGED MAINTENANCE BECAUSE IT IS CLEAR THEY HAVE NO SKILLS AT ALL. INSTEAD OF FIXING THE REAL ISSUE THEY WILL BUT A BAND AID ON IT AND HOPE FOR THE BEST. I HAD BUBBLES (SEVERAL) IN MY CEILING FROM WATER DAMAGE THAT EVENTUALLY BUSTED AND WAS ON THE CARPET AND SOFA. INSTEAD OF FIXING ALL THE BUBBLES THEY ONLY ATTEMPTED THE EXTREME EYE SORE. I HAD A LEAK IN MY ROOM FROM THE HEATER WHICH CAUSED FUNGUS TO GROWN ON THE CARPET. INSTEAD OF CLEANING THE CARPET OR REPLACING THE CARPET THEY LEFT IT THERE. WHEN I FINALLY MOVED A DRESSER I NOTICED THE FUNGUS HAD REACHED THAT AS WELL. OF COURSE THEY DID NOTHING ABOUT THE SITUATION. TOO MANY COMPLAINTS WILL HAVE TO ON THEIR "GET" LIST. THEY WILL TARGET EVERYTHING AND THREATEN TO TERMINATE LEASE. THE KITCHEN COUNTER WAS HORRENDOUS AND THE PAINTED BATH TUB WAS JUST PLAIN SILLY. RATS, BED BUGS AND WEIRD LOOKING BUGS LIVE THERE WITH YOU NO MATTER HOW CLEAN YOU KEEP APARTMENT. REQUESTING MICE TRAPS WAS A HASSLE MUCH LESS GETTING A TERMINATOR TO YOUR APARTMENT. THE CLOSET DOORS...SMH... JUST DON'T DO IT IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT. GREAT AREA AS IT IS ACCESSIBLE TO NJ TRANSIT THE 280 AND DOWNTOWN NEWARK. THE HASSLE ISN'T WORTH IT. UNLESS YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE. GOOD LUCK!
pavilion plaza charges with exploring all avenues of repair, from free to outside work. i was charged with appliance replacement, circuit breaker needed reset.....refrigerator light was out (bulb) its been 2 years and they havent given me my money. im in the action of ruling security deposits out from renting.....trenton.
Horrible management. Mostly you stay in oven in Summers and they keep saying 'You know nothing John Snow as Winter is coming'. Rodents all around the house. Washer dryers are always broken and you have to drive to nearby laundromat.
Management at this property is DISGUSTING! The entire staff has a hostile demeanor toward their tenants and are annoyed whenever anything is asked of them. Management terms are inflexible and restrictive. Requests for maintenance repairs are met with unmerited threats to terminate the lease, despite the fact that none of the requests personally placed by me have been due to any damage I caused in the apartment. Maintenance repairs are of low quality and rushed. You will often continue to have to place work orders for the same issues every month due to poor resolution of the problem. Common areas are minimally maintained and many of the security guards are rude and refuse to open the door for you, despite seeing you everyday. The building is infested with bed bugs, mice and roaches and despite copious reviews stating this fact, the issue persists. The elevators are slow, run down and scary to ride in as they shake terribly. In December 2016, a new organization assumed the role of building management and has done NOTHING to beautify or improve anything in the property. Management removed the online rent payment system in January, claiming that it would only be for a short time, and here it is almost August 2017 and they have not bothered to reinstate the service, which is extremely inconvenient as you have to make your payments directly at the leasing office or risk placing your check in a rental box in the building lobby, which would provide you with no proof that payment was made. The office closes early for staff meetings with no notification to the residents. Office hours are inconvenient for most of the residents, as they are only open during working hours during the week and do not have any Saturday hours. This management company could not care less about their tenants and their poor service makes that fact perfectly clear. If you can avoid signing a lease here, please do!
I love Pavilion Apartments, everyone in the management office is nice and friendly. The General manager is amazing, and makes living here worthwhile. Great Job with the eradication of rodents and the beautifying of the apartment building.
BED BUGS,RATS, MICE, ROACHES, WATERBUGS, STINK BUGS AND DUST MITES. THIS PLACE US INFESTED WITH MULTIPLE THINGS. A SMORGASBORD OF RODENTS, STAFF IS ANNOYED WHEN YOU ASK TO MANY QUESTIONS OR YOU HAVE TOO MANY REPAIR REQUESTS. AS IF IT'S A PROBLEM YOU CAUSED. SOME HAVE EVEN DIE IN THEIR APARTMENTS AND 1MONTH LATER THEY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE MOVE IN. THEY ARE DISCUSTING ALL AROUND. ALL THREE BUILDINGS HAVE BED BUGS; PAVILION APTS AND COLONNADES!!!!!! Please email me any time. I'm also perusing CLASS ACTION SUITE REGINA JERRY Rjerry802@gmail.com
This place is not what you see in pictures. Doorman building? they will not open the door for "YOU". Heat? Hardly ever. Bedbugs/mice? Why buy a pet, they are already waiting for you. Floor to ceiling windows? havent been washed in years. Parking lot? Hope you have good shocks for potholes. 24 patrol? You let me know when you see them patrol further then the front door and sitting in a parked truck.Interior? not maintained (old stained carpets, peeling paint. Management poor attitudes with no skills to manage anything the way this building looks. You can find better for your money
This place were I reside is nice, I've been there for about 7 years. The people here are great my neighbors are very sweet and I'm protected 24-7. I'm grateful for having an apartment with a great community and protection, as a single mother with 2 children I need to feel protected and safe. This is a great spot to commute to the City.
I am married with a one year old and a baby girl on the way. Me and my husband is employed but just can't seem to make ends meet. We stay in wildwood Florida which is small and isn't very much opportunity when you look around. So we settled here in this one bedroom apartment to make thing easier. The apartment isn't that expensive but the neighbor hood explains that. Things in our him tares every see such as cabinets falling, water leaks, walls easy to break, pulls are burned out, and items from the bathroom just falls apart not to mention the ac unit works when it want to. This is so miserable to us, I just don't know what to do next. It takes the land lord weeks just to get back in touch with, then she sends inexperienced maintenance men that makes matters worst....any suggestions
The Pavilion Apartments are located across the street from Broad St station making getting to New York ave Hoboken fairly easy. The walk to both the NJIT and Rutgers campuses are not bad but may not be so great in winter. The IronBound and Newark itself has great food and decent shopping. The gated parking lot costs $50 per space per month. The gate does not deter theft of things from your car but your car will remain in the lot. The apartments are well sized for the price. The views from the upper floors are great and are made even better by the floor to ceiling windows. Some of the apartments do need updating in the kitchen and bathroom. The gym while small will allow you do cardio at any time of the day for $20/mo for all apartment occupants 18 I believe. You only pay for electric, not water. You do not control the heat but they keep the buildings fairly toasty, at times even to warm, in the winter. If it's not enough, plug in a heater at your own expense. Trash is disposed of via trash chute located in the hallway. Recycling must be taken down to the basement. There is laundry on site, $3 to wash and dry a normal sized load, though the dryers are quite large. Pets are allowed under 50lbs there is a deposit required. Maintenance if called in the morning will usually respond same day. Do not expect to get any packages from usps that don't fit in your mailbox. You will need to pick them up from the post office. The buildings do stay fairly quiet, there are people who have car alarms and do not turn them off from time to time and then there is the normal ambient noise of Newark. Shop Rite of Kearny is located nearby, Wal-Mart is also fairly close there is a Costco about 20 min away in Clifton. Entrances to 280, turnpike, parkway and 21 are nearby. The apartments are quite good for the price and location, I enjoy living here.
