Property Ratings at Pavilion Townplace Apartments
We just moved in and the apartment itself is nice and we enjoy living here but it being an older building gives it lots of problems. Everything is nice and updated but there are several issues such as hot water only lasting less than 10 minutes because the water heater is so small so you can’t take a full hot shower, thin ceilings so you can hear your upstairs neighbor (but I guess that’s typical of an apartment), and just overall since the building is older the Quality and craftsmanship isn’t the best lots of crooked floors, doors not sealed and damage painted over.
When I first moved in I loved the place! Then it was sold to a new owner. The new owner has decided to renovate all these apartments. When someone moves out a crew moves in to update the apartment. They work at anytime even through the weekends. The other day a construction team blew a transformer in one of the apartments and we lost electricity. I work remotely do it is hard to explain the noise to clients while I am on the phone. Maybe when all the apartments are renovated it will go back to being quiet. Until that time I am not sure I recommend this place.
This property is 20 years old, and--unfortunately--management rarely fixes problems. Recurring issues with malfunctioning HVAC, locks, doors, and water pressure/smell led me to move out early. Good location and nice people, but recurring issues speak for themselves and add unnecessary annoyances to daily living. Not worth it, in my opinion.
My wife and I lived here for about 2 years and it was great. We loved the layout/size of our 1 bedroom/1 bath. The patio was large and the outdoor storage was a plus. The appliances were updated which was also a plus. The complex and amenities (pool, gym, clubhouse, mailroom) were very nice and well kept. Maintenance was always quick to response to a request and fix the issue. The location was perfect too. Not to far from North Dallas, Preston Hollow, Lovers (obviously), Knox/Henderson, Uptown, Downtown - never a far drive/expensive Uber. We also loved being able to walk to the Trader Joe's, Eatzi's, CVS, liqour store, Starbucks and many restaurants that are right across the street. But what we appreciated the most was the office staff. They are awesome; very nice, helpful and respond quickly whenever you have a question/issue. I always recommend Pavillon Townplace to people looking for places to live in Dallas.
I am new to Dallas and was hesitant about moving in general, because I don’t know it. Luckily some coworkers suggested I look here. When I came in to take a look, I was impressed enough to submit an application and moved in the following week. Since being here, things have been great. Some noise with landscaping in the mornings, but overall I really like it. I especially like the fact that I can walk to the grocery store and back within 5 mins. My neighbors have been very friendly and the office staff really helped get me settled, seeing as I was new to Dallas. My apartment is pretty spacious and has good closet space. I just wish there was an elevator to get me to the top floor!
What a wonderful location to reside. Amazing people for staff, amazing apartments to rent, an amazing enviornment to live!
I do not recommend staying at this apartment complex. The staff does not care about the people living there or their belongings. Everything that is fixed, is fixed the cheap way, so it will break again shortly after. Cars are being broken in to constantly and upper management does not care to make any changes. They say there is nothing that can be done....
Most unfortunate. I have lived here for over four years and after the management/ownership changed in the last year or so, things have not been the same. My husband's car was stolen from directly in front of our building less than six months ago, and it was broken into again last night (no valuables had been left in the vehicle). He was told today by management that there is nothing they can do. At the initial theft we asked for an alert email to be sent out to our community, which they never did. So. While this was a lovely place to live in the past, I'm afraid the current crime and lack of intervention and involvement from the management and property owners is causing us to look to live elsewhere. Which, worst of all, seemed of little consequence to the management staff, even after four years of being a friendly and reliable tenet. And worst of all, Christmas is a terrible time to have a second deductible to pay from our car insurance. In the meanwhile, we are still waiting for the gatedoor on our building to be repaired since the lock has has been broken for about two weeks. I must say the individuals on the maintenance crew are lovely, as are the lower level folks in the office. It's a shame that the upper level management doesn't care more about the community here and the people living in it. It's a modern Ebenezer Scrooge. In the meanwhile, I hate to write negative reviews, so everyone else please have a safe and Merry Christmas.
I have lives at Pavillion town place for 6 months. The complex is in a great walkable area with an established area of single family homes and stores on one side and shops on the other. The complex is very pet friendly. We have had all maintinence issues fixed within 24 hours. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The community is mostly 30 and is very quiet. The only issue I have is that the interior of the apartment has partially laminate counters, only the island is granite, the cabinets are light wood and not in great shape. Also the slate tile in the kitchen and bath are unsightly and difficult to clean. I should note that some units have been upgrades to stainless appliances and all granite. All together I feel the neighborhood outweighs the outdated style of the apartment.
