Colorado Springs is home to the famous Garden of the Gods, a picturesque park containing towering sandstone rock formations and numerous amenities.
The city offers plenty of additional attractions to suit every interest. From the Old Colorado City Historic District (for history buffs) to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (for art aficionados) and everything in between. Many residents congregate in the quaint downtown area to enjoy a wide variety of restaurants in well-preserved historic buildings. Regardless of your rental situation — apartment or condo — Colorado Springs will delight you with an incredible landscape and buzzing year-round attractions.

Property Ratings at Peak 1465
This was a last minute choice because it was a cheaper option, and I'm glad I found Alvarado Place Apartments. The buildings are quite old, but are in good condition compared to other neighbored apartments. The area is quiet and friendly folks, with children jumping in the pool having fun during the summer. Recently the landlord made some changes to the landscape and it looks great, we have two charcoal grills for anyone to use and two new benches for picnics, as well as beautiful new green grass around the pool, rocks laid out instead of the old worn out grass and a new garden to look classy.

This location is great if you need a quick pad but NOT made for long term. I have heard of a lot of infestations although I personally did not experience any. The "type" of people living here is a variety from quiet and peaceful to loud, rude and obnoxious. You never know what you are going to get here. The location is shopper friendly but not considered the "safest" neighbourhood. I have experienced my car being vandalized in the night and see a lot of people pushing shopping carts from the stores to their homes and leaving them. The neighbours in the area do have dogs and they allow pets on the property. This can be a problem if you have small children, or don't care for the sound of them. Along with the sounds of animals you have a lot of people who choose to play their music loudly or just rev their engine to the max while coming down this street. There is a smaller sized pool which is usually occupied by a large amount of people some living here and some not on the weekend but is pretty much open during the week when office staff are around. Finally, the management: In my opinion Brad is pretty understanding and considerate however his overseers are not so friendly and prefer that those living here have a check coming each month to cover rent i.e SSI, Section 8 or otherwise. Doesn't take much to get a place here..just some check stubs.
