Gahanna has worked hard to become known as more than just a suburb of Columbus. The community has developed a vibrant character, and in 2007 was named one of the best places to live in America by Money magazine. Locally-owned businesses flourish, and historic buildings have been lovingly preserved all over town. The city limits of Gahanna contain nearly 800 acres of parkland, including the 50 acre Gahanna Woods State Nature Preserve. The local schools get excellent ratings and the crime rate is quite low, making Gahanna a very appealing place for folks raising families.
Gahanna’s position just northeast of Columbus proper allows residents to easily reach the bigger city’s attractions, including the Ohio State University campus, the Columbus Zoo, and of course the endless dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Less than fifteen minutes from downtown Columbus by car, Gahanna apartments are close enough to be a convenient home base for commuters as well.

Property Ratings at Penny Lane Mews
Slow maintenance, the rental agent is very obnoxious and rude, bugs everywhere, the banister going up the stairs are loose I honestly would be afraid your children will fall and break there arm. I don't recommend save your money folks!
The new office manager is essentially a thief. I lived here for 4 years. They lied about the amount of my security deposit. They tried to back charge me for painting and carpet cleaning once we moved out. There were some holes in the wall and broken door, which were all patched and sanded, and the door was completely replaced by us before we moved. Painting and carpet cleaning is normal wear and tear. The fridge rails on the door were broken when we moved in and they charged us 300$ for that. There was nothing wrong with the oven and they charged us 374$ for a new iven rack! They raised our rent every single year when wee moved out it was over 300$ more than when we moved in. We were hassled contantly while we lived there and constantly threatened with fines for nonsense. People were shot in the apartment complex while we lived there and they refused to even evict the tenets involved. I absolutely do not recommend moving here, theres other options in the school district and by the time you move out theyll be charging you more than you could rent a single family home for in the neighborhood right next door. The grounds were constantly a mess, gutters hanging off the buildings for weeks, none of the downspouts worked. Several building caught fire including ours during our time their. Our apartment flooded repeatedly. Our neighbor pleaded with them to repair his leaking hot water tank and they refused until one day it exploded and flooded our entire first floor causing mold, which they refused to remedy. The power went off several dozen times over the course of us living there with no explanation. There were drug dealers in various apartments the complex refused to do anything about. They had to shut down the pool because the police came and found heroin baggies in it. Its a shame that you can pay your rent on time for years, be a good tenant, endure a 4 year circus of nonsense for the sake of having your children in Gahanna schools, repair the light damage to the property completely before moving out and still be threatened after leaving like this. Shame on you penny lane mews.
Place has roaches. raccoons in my attic complained about it 3 times had to call city hall on them just to fix the. Started charging a monthly pest inspection fee but they only spray 3 times a year Stay away!
I moved into penny lane two years ago. When I first moved in I had planned on being here for one six month lease. I’ve been here for two years now. My neighbors are nice. The management is amazing and. Maintenance is swift. It’s been such a positive experience that I have not wanted to leave. My kids have made friends here. It’s a nice community and quiet. Last summer my kids and I practically lived at the pool. Everyone there is so nice and looks out for each other’s children while they swim. I highly recommend Penny lane, especially if you have children.
I just moved in a few months ago and I'm happy here. It really nice and quiet here, no rowdy neighbors or loud people hanging out everywhere. I moved here so my daughter could be in Gahanna Schools and I made the right choice. The lady who runs the property is really nice and maintenance is prompt. I recommend to anyone I know looking for a nice place to live.
Worst apartment management and maintenance ever. Rent from them at your peril. There are drug dealers and worse that are living here but if you ask them to do any maintenance they will refuse to renew your lease.
I just moved in here on April 16th a few days after I moved in I was cleaning and noticed a bug in the bathroom but didn't think anything of it. A few days later saw another one in the kitchen. Couple days later saw more in the bathroom realized they were ROACHES! So before I say about that when I first moved my toilet was leaking really bad took them 5 days to fix it. Then my thermostat was broken kicking on and off causing my electric bill to be sky rocketed took them several days to fix now I have roaches! The landlord had my apartment sprayed but still was seeing them so I was told that they sprayed again a few days ago but my neighbor told me they knocked on my door but I wasn't there which landlord knew that so they left and didn't spray but she told me they did. I paid mays rent when I signed my lease and due to the roaches I have not been there at all for May and they have refuse to take anand it's been the worse experience of my life! I've contacted 6 on your side the better business bureau and an attorney!! Horrible place!! ything off my rent for this and they refuse to spray my neighbors apartments even though the roaches will go to their place then travel back! This is my first apartment
