Property Ratings at Perkins Place
I lived here for 18 months. It was a good starter house just to get me moved out. The staff and everyone was wonderful and responsive. The community- was borderline scary. My neighbors were out screaming at all hours of the night, smoking weed, getting in literal fist fights out back (cops were out at least 2-3 times for one house in particular). Then there was a shooting the next block of townhouses down from mine. While management did handle it - they did not reach out to residents at all to update them on the situation or let them know how it was handled. I'm not saying we needed the dirty details but I would like to feel safe in my own community. Needless to say, I moved. I feel like if I was in a different part of the neighborhood and didn't have this one belligerent neighbor, I would have had a different experience. The housing itself was great which is why I gave it 3 stars. The maintenance of the grounds is great, the home when turned over to the tenant is great, no complaints about the housing itself.

Loving living here — So quiet and comfortable I was a little nervous moving from Canton all the way to Belcamp because of my commute, but I can honestly say it’s the best decision I could have made and I couldn’t be happier.

Thank you for taking the time to rate us! We are glad to be the place you choose to call home and appreciate your feedback!
My family and I relocated from South Florida to Maryland due to a company transfer. So there began our search for a safe, quiet, beautiful home but the search didn’t last long. After seeing Perkins place, there was no doubt it was beautiful, but was set in stone after speaking with Jackie, the property manager. She was kind, informal and very attentive. After reviewing the area and the home again we decided this is where we wanted to call home. Jackie took the stress out of changing out address, and made us feel welcome. The area is within distance to shopping etc. and is a safe place for my children. This neighborhood is a hidden gem and I highly recommend perkins place. They are beautiful rentals in a great neighborhood, with lovely amenities and maintenance. What more could you ask for!
When I got divorced back in 2012, I needed an affordable rental unit for myself and my 2 children, now ages 9 and 13. We got really lucky with Perkins Place. This quaint and quiet little community is walking distance to local shopping and recreation. The neighbors are quite generous and warm and it's a place I've been calling home for the last 3 years. My children enjoy the area as well, given they are only 15 minutes from their mom, 45 minutes to Northeast, MD, and 35 minutes from Baltimore, MD. Each unit is well maintained, both inside and out, the property managment staff are delightful and diligent when things go awry and need a quick repair, and neighbors are always willing to lend a hand or share a pleasant smile or hello. I couldn't ask for a better rental unit, community, or a place I now call home!
