Steeped in history and unique culture, Baltimore is among America’s most culturally-rich cities. Centuries spent as a major port city have contributed to a diverse mix of influences, resulting in the eclectic range of food and art found in Baltimore today. The relatively compact layout of the city makes life a bit easier for pedestrians and cyclists — it also means that, even though the city is home to over 600,000 people, it retains the feel of a much smaller community. The city’s neighborhoods display a huge degree of variety, ranging from rowhouses to high-rise apartments to charming suburban subdivisions.
It’s an excellent city for sports fans, with the Orioles and the Ravens representing Baltimore in the big leagues. The arts community is quite active in Baltimore as well, largely thanks to the Maryland Institute College of Art and the huge Artscape festival that draws thousands every May.

Property Ratings at 209 at Pickwick
Overall this is a beautiful community , the grounds are very well taken care of and when I need anything taken care of in my home or on my account Najia is very quick with responding to my concerns.
Great property. Maintenance is excellent. Valet garbage. Awesome neighbors!
I love the closet space my new apartment has and the modern renovations are very nice!
The place is nice and quiet- roomy. Maintenance is ok, leasing staff is nice too.
The apartments here are AWFUL. There are spiders, centipedes, roaches, ants, mice... you name it, you’ll find it at pickwick. Just AWFUL. Maintenance never actually solves any of the issues they just try to conceal it however they can. The appliances are outdated and the carpet is gross. They’ve been renovating some of the apartments, but don’t be fooled there will always be underlying issues. The walls are cracking and caving in. I have a hole in my bathroom ceiling that’s leaking. Save yourself the stress and discomfort, there are better apartment complexes around please don’t waste your time or money here.

There is a substantial chance that you will have to move out due to unresolved maintenance issues. I would make sure you speak with the previous resident before moving in. Or at least see the previous resident's maintenance history.

The new management took the time to fix the maintenance issues I have been having since the previous management was here. The office staff is so nice and always pleasant!

If you're looking for a place to live that has good management and is responsive to maintenance calls this is NOT the place for you. Lived here for over a year and by far the rudest and worst employees of all time.
I have lived in Pickwick East for several years and have been increasingly unhappy. The water bills they started charging a few years ago are insanely high - significantly higher than people with larger families living in Baltimore city homes are paying. Perhaps its due to old leaky pipes and the frequent water main breaks. Maintenance enters apartments without informing you first. When you place a work order it can take a few days for it to be filled and during that time they may enter at any time. New management is working on making maintenance faster and better but the policy about entering and refusal to give windows of time (or even tell you what day) maintenance will be coming is not ok. Residents are unhappy.
They add on insane water bills which are double what houses pay, their maintenance could not be worse, and their staff is disgusting and liars!!!! I have been here for several years and they have yet to fix things that were broken on our walk though, before signing the initial lease!! My AC, garbage disposal and washing machine have not worked for two years and they refuse to fix it no matter how many times we ask!!! My sink always leaks through my downstairs neighbors and they don't fix it!!! We had to stay elsewhere several times in the summer because the AC is completely broken. They always claim some excuse "its 58 in your apartment" even though its the summer and 3 separate thermometers, including the BGE read 85 indoors. "its 115 outdoors" even though the weather channel claims the high of the day was 71. WORSE OF ALL, when I went to resign a lease they claimed I already had a two year lease signed, which I never have done in my life!!! They forged my signature on a lease and when I confronted the property manager about it she simply said her staff was idiots. Mind you, they are, but they still have not sent me another lease to sign, one year later!!! SAVE YOURSELF AND STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I definitely made a mistake by choosing Pickwick East They gauge their residents with a 'Water Charge' on top of their rent, as much as $125 A MONTH! I was told that they cant do anything about centipedes because its the season. I live with mouse traps out always I can hear when my upstairs neighbor passes gas Do yourself a favor and choose one of the surrounding complexes that are upfront about costs and care about the residents
i enjoy the community its closes playgrounds, restaurant, outlets grocery stores, and minutes from 83 downtown Baltimore.the amenities are perfect: washer dryer in my home wall to wall carpet gas heat cable ready swimming pool i cold just go on. this is truly the best place to live if you a parent or single person. i recommend Pickwick East to anyone looking for a quite clean place to live. i feel rich.
i became a resident because its great place to live. its convenient public transportation and shopping. The amenities are great wall to wall carpeting washer and dryer swimming pool children's playground trash pick up ans balconies with perfect view. Pickwick East is conveniently located only minutes away from downtown Baltimore. i truly enjoy my luxury apartment.
My apartment has a lot of room for a one bedroom apartment. This is a quiet neighborhood in Baltimore Maryland. This apartment has a washer and dryer that work well in the kitchen, and shopping and convenient stores are within walking distance, and are very close by driving to them. The rent costs are very reasonable, and most nights everyone can put trash and garbage right outside of their door for valet trash pickup. I have lived here for 13 years and there literally has never been any crimes or problems. This apartment comes with a nice bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The dining room is very nice and spacious, and a new refrigerator was put in when I needed one last year. It comes with a 4 range stove and large oven, and lots of closet and storage space. The single bedroom is very large with lots of space and the living room/television room is large also with lots of space. The maintenance staff repairs anything needed to be repaired and they attend to all maintenance issues. The heating and air conditioning unit is older, but works well and is in a closet. These apartments are very popular - so much so, it sometimes is necessary to park your car a little bit of a distance away from this nice apartment in a quiet community.
Positives: Door to Door Garbage Service In apartment washer and dryer Negative: Maintenace could care less WATER BILL OF OVER $100 monthly - pure theft when homes pay half of that for a quarter of a year
