Pickwick Flats

Eu e minha família nos mudamos a pouco mais de 8 meses e estamos muito felizes em estar num ambiente familiar, seguro e de excelente qualidade, ficaremos muito felizes em prorrogar nosso contrato ao término do mesmo pois satisfação é o que eu e minha família temos em relação ao PickWick flats pois estamos tendo uma experiência muito satisfatória.

My family and I moved to Florida just over a year ago and found Pickwick Flats. It had everything we were looking for. No stairs (thankfully with no neighbors up/down from us), 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, washer/dryer in unit, dishwasher, and very clean property. We love the apartment life team and all the events that they have. They really put a lot of time and effort into making these events special. We feel that there is a real sense of community here and have formed lasting friendships. We consider them our family away from family. Love living here at Pickwick!

I love the changes since new management took over. Before, people had stuff all over their patios and outside. Now, management makes sure everyone keeps their areas clean. So much better!

I visited the office and met with Jennifer. She showed me the property and I loved the hammock garden. The apartments are huge and very private. Where else can you live with no neighbors above you? I can’t wait to move in and stare at the beautiful lake with the big fountain.

New management company is terrible. Office staff is never in the office and when they do show up they are rude and unhelpful.

I recently moved to Jacksonville for a job in the medical field. Downtown living isn’t for me. To much traffic and chaos. Pickwick offers me a short commute and I have everything I need within a few minutes of the community. Target, Starbucks, restaurants and there is even a drive through car wash at the end of the street. Access to the community gym 24 hours a day is really helpful with my crazy work schedule.

I moved in a year ago and let me tell you after renting at other places in all my years of life I found found the gold! I love everything about this place and I tell everyone I know! I plan to live many years here , this is home and home is where the heart is .

I have been here many years (9), I have watched so called entitled people come in to the office with disregard for me sitting there and talk to the staff as if they were beneath them, the ladies in the office handle it so professional . I feel as if I should apologize for the way they were treated. These are probably the people moving and leaving bad reviews . I say good riddance ! I love the events here , I love the new landscaping it looks so clean and fresh, I love the gym so much I cancelled my membership at the local place down the road and I don't have to drive there. I can't wait for cooler weather to enjoy a good book in a hammock ( the heat is not for me ). Oh let's not forget the food drives for the community, back to school event for the kids that live here ! Good family values and giving to the community is not something you see at every apartment complex. Thank you Kayla, Jennifer and Thomas for making Pickwick the best place to live!!

I really like living here and see new things popping up each month. This place has been quiet and I had the same neighbors for years. The new owners added a fountain and change the color of the lights every couple months. It’s really nice to see at night.

I’ve lived in Jacksonville my whole life and rented at a bunch of different places. This community is so cool! The apartments are one floor so it’s like having a house except you don’t have to fix things or mow the lawn lol I’m shocked to see the negative reviews about management. Everyone is super nice and they’ve given the complex a much needed face lift.

New mgt company and staff are TERRIBLE. Long time residents are being treated horribly, office staff is never in the office, they do not return phone calls unless you want info of new rentals. Rental rates have skyrocketed making it impossible for families to stay. They harass you or threaten you with eviction and intentionally ignore your requests if you have complained. Trust me, everyone is complaining. The so called "renovations" are band aids covering long term issues around the property. What once was a family community is now and a sterile, unfriendly, unprofessional depressing place to live. Don't let them fool you. They put on their best show for newcomers only.

The treatments for the tenants and their complaints is treated unprofessionally every time a tenant has a complaint it turns them into a suspect if you complain you’ll be harassed it was done to a lot of people here until they had no choice but to find another place to live the rent has been raised and the last three months 40% and if you complain you’ll be a rest until you get to leave do yourself a favor find a place where you are treated with respect and not just because of your money that you’re spending here

I've been a long time resident at Pickwick and I love all of the new things being added to the community. Maintenance responds quickly and the ladies in the office are super helpful.

This apartment complex used to be absolutely amazing. It really felt like a true neighborhood instead of a complex. A new management company has taken over and all of the charm has completely gone. They did landscaping, but only on the areas people driving through will see. The residents are still stuck with weed infested shrubs everywhere that actually matters. They made a new rule that residents can't have potted plants or yard decorations. Some units are around the corner of the buildings, making it extremely hard for Mail carriers or deliveries to find and they refuse to put helpful signage anywhere on the property. A lot of the units dont have washer and dryers or the hookups to add them. We used to have a laundry facility here. They took that out. They do not communicate with residents at all and when they do, it's a demand to go on their website "wall" and find the information yourself or a flyer on the door that they later say is not correct. It has become an absolute nightmare living here. If we had the finances to move, we would in a heartbeat.

We've lived in these apartments for 19 years, raised our three children here, and we couldn't ask for a better neighborhood. The staff is very competent and caring, and know everyone by name. Not a large complex, only one way in and out, extremely well kept grounds, and a nice quiet area. Very large square footage in these apartments, great pool and clubhouse, and close to stores, restaurants, banks, and a library.

My 2bedroom/2bath apartment is one of the nicest apartments in Jacksonville Florida. First, your apartment complex is only as good as the management and maintenance it provides. Pickwick is definitely 5 Star ! I have lived at numerous apartments that never lived up to the care and concern demonstrated on a daily basis at Pickwick. The apartments are located close to shopping, public transportation and yet are very quiet day and night. Nestled in a peaceful and safe atmosphere residents feel safe to walk day and night (we have top notch outdoor lighting) I have lived here over 8 years now and consider it my home~ not my apartment. Spacious bedrooms with walk in closets; large living room with dining area; a large kitchen with screened in patio looking out to my flower garden and bird bath and feeders. Apartments are one level, with the exception of townhouses for residents that enjoy climbing stairs. I really enjoy not having a neighbor above or below my living area. Ceiling fans are included and helpful with Florida summer temperatures :) I enjoy the fellowship of our holiday parties and the use of our community room. The pool is also very enjoyable and well maintained as are the well manicured lawns and shrubs throughout the complex. We are also proud to have constant improvements. Since I moved here, safety lighting~ replaced privacy fencing~ repaved parking lot~ shrubs maintained to promote safety ~ painting outside~ and the latest improvement were double-pane windows and sliding glass door. Pickwick sets their standards high and then strive to maintain these standards. This is my favorite place to live and I plan on staying !!!

After a health set back with my husband, we decided that we were no longer physically, emotionally or financially up to maintaning our house inside or outside. We did not want to worry about the care of the lawn, new roof, garage door jamming, hurricanes ripping up the place, sewage line issues, painting and the list goes on. We debated the pros and cons of house living and apartment living. We definitely ruled out condo living, due to my fear of heights. We had been married for almost 44 years and have not lived in an apartment. This was scarey. We were used to a tight community, neighborhood friendliness and a feel of security. We searched several areas. We were looking for a 2 to 3 bedroom apartment, so our downsizing wouldn't be too drastic of a change. Most of the apartment complexes were nice and the room sizes were okay. They had everything but that "feeling" you get, when you feel at home. My first impression of Pickwick Apartments was, "pleasant little area". The location is perfectly placed to shopping, entertainment, restuarants, schools and transportation. There was a very inviting swimming pool and a lovely playground for children. Then we met the Manager and Assistant Manager. Wow what nice ladies they were. They set such a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere to newcomers. The apartment was in the mist of being rejuvenated for renting. The carpet was in the middle of being replaced and walls were being painted. The rooms were spacious and bright with light. But when we walked into the apartment, even with the work that was being performed. I looked at my husband and said "were home". The maintenance men are very accomodating, the grounds are maintained beautifully and so well light at night. I feel very safe here. We have been here now for about 5 months now and are so happy that we not only took this big step, but ended up here!

We chose this location because my husband has some disabilities and needed something without stars. It's a quite location tucked away behind busy San Jose Blvd. There's a great little park within walking distance. The units seem to be very sound proof, we never hear our neighbors next door. The staff is great and common areas are well kept.
