Miami’s rental options are also incredibly diverse, from luxury apartments and beachfront condos in the city center to cozy townhomes and spacious houses in the suburbs. Miami offers plenty to do outside the home. Residents and visitors alike enjoy perusing the extensive exhibits at the Perez Art Museum, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Miami Children’s Museum, and Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

Property Ratings at Pier 19 Residences and Marina
Move here if you enjoy living with roaches and using outdated appliances. After living at Pier 19 in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for a year, my partner and I asked to transfer to a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment due to rising housing costs. Much to our surprise, we were given the keys to a nasty, uninhabitable cockroach ridden unit with a ton of issues. And you would not believe how apathetic new management at Pier 19 was when we asked to terminate the lease after all of their pest control treatments proved ineffective. Once again, ALL of Pier 19's pest control treatments were ineffective. We found living roaches from the day we moved into the apartment, right up until we had enough and decided to pack up and leave the nightmare behind for good. Please do not give this management group and building another cent out of principle.
It amazes me how the ownership is charging these prices for units that aren’t updated past 2010 and it’s infested with roaches. You have these subpar amenities downstairs with pretty paint and a few updates nuances and rusted outdated apts upstairs. Save your money and move to a real luxury building don’t let the facade fool you. I’ve lived here 3 years and cannot be happier to move out of luxury roach hotel. Once they switched the previous property managers to these new characters they have in that office it’s gone down hill and quickly.
I have been living here for 6 months now. Building is beautiful and well maintained. Management is very professional. Communal areas are clean with the exception of the corridors and parking garage. Nice gym, nice views, great location. I am happy here. There are a few problems with the unit but they solve it fast. Recommended for the not too picky and easy going. I have seen messy buildings around Miami and this one is one of the very best overall.
This property is super beautiful, the outside areas are spectacular and the view is refreshing, the maintenance manager Eric is very responsible and it is clear that he knows what he is doing very happy with his work and professionalism.
Parking is a big problem at this place! not recommended
I am very disappointed with this apartment. I would not recommend it to anyone. It is very disappointing. Beautiful on the outside and recreation area but that is all. From the time we moved in we’ve been having problems. From chip paint from our walls to loud AC that does not regulate properly, dishwasher that does not drain properly, and to our noise neighborhood that feels it okay to hammer and stomp at all hours of the night. Finally to people dropping nasty shitty water onto our balcony, and when you ask for management to clean your outside balcony window from the residue, film, you get an email saying it is your responsibility to clean it. To be fair we were given the option to move to another apartment in the building, but the hassle of packing and hiring someone to take down TVs only to have to do it all again in six months was too much of a hassle.
Your bathrooms will always smell like Cannabis even if you don't smoke. when complaining to management the response is "it comes from units in the floors below you and there is not much they can do". The garbage shoot is always backed up. No one ever picks up after their dogs in the park. they hired a third party security company for front desk and sometimes they don't speak English. front gate is never closed. easy to access for anybody. overpriced for what they offer.
Parking Garage is a mess. there is garbage everywhere. dirty used masks, fast food bags, cans, bottles and more. They do not take the time to clean it. There are also vehicles that have been parked for years with no license plates, leaking oil, full of rust, jet skis blocking the parking. often times there will be non residents waiting to follow you inside. Management employees even take up parking spots! when residents get home it makes it more difficult to find parking.
For the last 5 months the service elevator has been malfunctioning, the noices eminating from the area have been extremely disturbing. It has become difficult to sleep with all the rumbling and humming noice that the the service elevator is producing. The service elevator operates throughout the hours 24/7, the noices occur well into the sleeping hours and weekends. The noises are like a constant drilling sound.
Property Manager at Pier 19 Residences and Marina, Responded To This Review
Dear Resident, We apologize for any inconvenience that you may be experiencing. As you may be aware the new ownership team has been performing extensive repairs and upgrades throughout the entire property and by labor day 2019 you will have a brand new state of the art fitness center, Lounge and Clubhouse with beautiful views of the Miami River in all the amenity areas. We understand your frustration as you can understand ours as well, unfortunately the part needed has been on back order for some time but the good news is that Otis elevator informed us that the part should be arriving at Pier 19 in the next three days. The part in question more specifically called, the shiv, has to do with the barring's system but is not a life safety issue. We are aware that it has been making a squeaking sound and have been routinely urging Otis elevator as to the importance of the repair but due to the parts specifics this is the soonest that the part could be produced and delivered. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience and know that we are doing all that we can to make your home the best possible place to live. Thank you for being a valuable part of our community and please feel free to drop by the management office from Monday through Saturday with any suggestions or concerns you may have. Have a wonderful day!
We just moved in to penthouse apartment in this building 2 months ago and so far we love it. It is one of not so many building that allows even large dog breeds with no issues which we really appreciate. It is very dog friendly community with a huge park located only 2 min walk from here. Our apartment is very spacious with a lot of light provided by floor to ceiling windows throughout the whole apartment, which I personally love. In less than 2 months we have seen a lot of improvement and renovations by new management that the building has. All the apartments have beautiful views, one side has Brickell and Marlins stadium and the other side has beautiful marina with Miami River. None of the apartments have views distracted by other buildings which is a huge plus. Also the location is great, very close to Brickell as well as South Beach, but far enough from the rush and heavy traffic. We love this building and havent had any issues so far. The management and leasing team is awesome. Thank you Alex for making the process of moving in simple and fast.
When I first saw the address I thought it was going to be subpar but as I turned the corner into the cul-de-sac where it’s located I was absolutely stunned. The place has its own Marina! Amenities are great, from the pool, gym and movie theater. I saw a variety of units which made it very difficult to decide considering every unit looks amazing along with spectacular views of the city and the water. I ended up taking a unit with a south city view. I absolutely love it here. It’s a hidden gem in an up and coming area.
This is a great place to live. The building is in a very good conditions, with a great location and beautiful amenities. The apartments are comfortable and big, with amazing views and for an affordable price. I definitely recommend it!
Lived here since March 2015. River Oaks Marina & Tower has been awesome! The location is perfect-close to downtown, midtown and the beaches. The view from my apartment is amazing and I love sitting out on my balcony to enjoy it. The leasing office has been helpful and understanding in times when I needed help with something for my apartment. They are super helpful and all are very quick to respond and fix anything that I have requested. Last, but not least, the amenities are fabulous!! The pool is awesome and the fitness center is great. They are all always clean and I feel comfortable using all the perks that come with living here. I'm so glad I chose to call River Oaks home!!
I was recently relocated to Miami for work, and when i saw this building, and the finishes of the apartments, i knew this was the right place for me. All the units have porcelain floor, which it is a must since I am allergic to carpets. The leasing people were great, it was an easy process. The building is full of amenities. I am really happy to have the opportunity to live here.
Great apartments , lots of amenities, leasing process was great from start to end. Personalized and excellent service. Thank you Chris.
