Property Ratings at Pierpont Apartments
Pierpont is a great place to live. Older apartments, but they are nice. The property is having a lot of improvements done also. No crime or problems with neighbors. All in all a great experience.

We appreciate the kind words and the high rating. We are pleased to see that you have enjoyed your time here and what we have been able to offer you. Please let us know if you were to need anything going forward.
If you are looking for a place with all of the bells and whistles, keep looking. Even with the “renovations” and updates throughout the property it is just okay. In winter 2019 they painted all of the buildings and this took months to do. It was a major inconvenience because you could not park your car at the building if they were painting. You would think that something this long would be great and a sight to see but the paint was very sloppy and poorly done. We were informed that the painters would be back to fix up anything they missed and that still hasn’t happened, nearly 9mos later. Shutters are still hanging off of buildings and every time I walk around the community I see another building with chipped paint. The kitchen appliances and the washer and dryer units are an eyesore. Again, you get what you pay for. They say there are no pets allowed on the property but I don’t think they enforce it because my neighbors have a dog and I see other dogs on the property all of the time. The plumbing is horrific. My toilet gets clogged up every other time I flush it. I don’t even bother calling maintenance anymore because they just do the same thing I do (plunge it). The air conditioning unit is extremely old, loud and moldy. I’ve had mine cleaned out on two separate occasions now and I still feel like it is unsafe. The business hours for the office are very inconsistent. They can never keep a leasing agent and I imagine it is because the property manager, Christeena, is not very nice or personable. Any communication I have had with her she has been very rude and cold. Had I met her prior to moving in I may have reconsidered, she doesn’t seem very welcoming and would not made me feel welcome or like this was “home”. I have to check my emails almost weekly to see their hours of operation because they email us so often with different hours The neighborhood is quiet and every seems to mind their business and not bother anyone, so they do have that going for them. It is located near tons of things in Polaris and Worthington and compared to other apartments it is very cheap in price... but for good reason. If you want Luxury Apartments this is not it.

We could not be happier to see that your time here has been nothing but positive thanks to your interactions with your neighbors to our amazing staff!
We lived here for several years and overall had an okay experience. The price was pretty decent for the area but increases yearly and the apartments are so old, it's getting to the point where they are priced too high for their condition. When we first moved in there was a fire in another unit in our building in the middle of the night. Very scary but no one was hurt. I was told it was caused by a dryer running overnight. The washer and dryers are very old so after this, I was careful to never run ours at night. We never had issues with bugs until our final year there and they do have Orkin come spray as needed which was appreciated. However, they neglected to tell me several times when orkin was coming for random sprayings and orkin did not knock on the door and just walked right in. The apartment management lied afterwards and said they had told us they were coming- they definitely did NOT. The management is one of our biggest complaints. She doesn't really care about you or your family, just your money. We got pretty much nothing back from the $300 security deposit even though there were only very minor things needing to be fixed. Definitely doesn't seem to care about your safety. Our final year there we had several car break ins, even while the cars are locked. It's becoming very bad for car break in's in that area. The AC wall units are old, moldy and loud. The heaters are old and stinky. Maintenance is kind and usually quick to come out but often there isn't much they can do to help. For example, our ac wasn't cold and we were told that it's just because those are old AC units. Overall, if you are a single mom or a small family tight on money, this is a safe, good option. But it's not a luxury place or fancy at all. Nice location near Polaris but all the surrounding apartments make the petty crime rates much higher.
Almost 4 years ago this was the least expensive in this area. I'm in a one bedroom with a washer and dryer provided, best feature! The rent does go up a little every year but that is to be expected. It is convenient in all directions. When I say quiet, I am talking about between walls; you cannot hear your neighbor next door, unless they come outside. Of course you can hear them walking upstairs but that is everywhere. I used to drive for Uber and picked up fares from all apt communities and though Pierpont is dated it is quiet in comparison. Anytime I had anything break or go out, it was fixed or replaced immediately. When my a/c went out, a new one was installed and my electric bill was cut in half. They have been good about keeping the grounds looking nice and have maintained the pool very well. I do recommend Pierpont to anyone.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND PIERPONT APARTMENTS TO ANYONE! I have clean rental history, good credit, and work too hard!! In Dec pierpont posted an ad for a 1 bedroom. Which I went to view but they only had a model available ( the unit was still being occupied) I was satisfied with the model and was told I needed to apply for the unit to secure it. I did, was approved. I paid my security deposit of $400 on 12/6/17 and after was told by Peggy I couldnt view the actual unit until 01/31/18 which I argued. After speaking to Christeena, Peggy then told me I had anywhere from 01/16/18-01/31/18 to view the unit applied for. I choose to go on 01/19/18 and was COMPLETELY DISGUSTED BY WHAT I WAS SHOWN. I informed them i was upset with the condition of the apartment and was then told my security deposit was non refundable per #11 in the application. Then was told the apartmebts are 30 years old what else should I expect. I do not recommend these apartments AT ALL!! My lease is up 01/31/18 and I have nowehre to go now!!
I have had several issues within the year I have lived here. 1. I had a neighbor tell me he would start waking meup at 1-2 am when he gets back from work. Why? Because I flush the toilet before 7 AM - I have to be at work by 7... 2. I had to wait about 12 hours to have my lock fixed (this was after notifying the front office about angry toilet man). I got home on a Saturday afternoon and called emergency maintenance 3-4 times before someone came by late on the Sunday morning. 3. Silverfish. I reported seeing three silverfish within a week to the office - The first response back stated that I was the only one in my building complaining. It took them weeks to get Orkin to spray the first time. The very next day after the first spraying I find a roach in the sink and amother silverfish on the wall. They sprayed again, and I am still finding silverfish and still being told I am the only one complaining. This is after personally cleaning every inch of this apartment for a whole weekend after finding the roach (thankfully I haven't seen another roach). 4. Unprofessional communication. Besides the condescending tone given to me about bugs, I received emails starting with "LOL" because I tried to expedite help on the roach. Why? Because I accidentally clicked a button online that sent an automatic response about logins and informed the office as to what I was doing (trying to get qick help). Also with this one, I was constantly being confused with someone else by the office. I do not have a common name, and the other "me" lives with their mom in a completely different building. The office's response was always to brush this off even when I stated who I am and my apartment number. The office has not apologized for this. 5. The office is ONLY open Monday through Friday and 9AM to 5PM. So if you work during that time and need to be in communication with the office prepare for doing this during work time or playing email tag. 6. This one is more of an FYI. The microwave has a maintenance sticker with the date May 1987. You still want to move here, then you will get an old kitchen. --and clean everything including under the stove top. My panick cleaning changed the color of the bottom of the stove top. I am extremely happy I am moving out.
For a one-person apartment that's 609.00 a month, the size of the living room should be more spacious enough that a table, chairs, and coffee table can fit. There has been only one silver fish found within twelve months, making bug and rodent infestation very rare. I haven't had any mold complaints, but the water heater and pressure is very below average; I have to shower at my local gyms because of the water. The neighbors are respectful and the noise tolerance of the walls makes any sound unnoticeable. The location of the apartment is near where rarely any crime happens, and I feel comfortable going out of my apartment whenever especially being a woman in her early twenties. It would be nice place based on the apartment's quality that the price be lowered. All appliances are from the nineties and workable, but they shouldn't cause 609.00 a month.
This apartment complex is close to everything. Its very affordable and safe. It's a little older and could use some updating but if you are frugal its great. Mainteance fixes things promptly, it has a pool and lots of parking. Overall good/practical place to live if you're watching your $$$ :)
