Located off I-71 between Columbus and Cleveland, Mansfield is a hilly, tree-filled, historic city halfway between its two larger neighbors. Mansfield was founded in 1808 and one of its main attractions is somewhat unusual: it's the historic Ohio State Reformatory, built in 1886 and featured in the movie, The Shawshank Redemption. The prison closed in 1990 and is now open for tours. The prison is supposedly haunted and has been featured on the TV shows Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and Ghost Asylum. Mansfield is also home to the Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, Newman Technology Inc., Mansfield Motor Speedway, and Noaa National Weather Services.
Mansfield is a college town, home to the Ohio State University at Mansfield. Downtown Mansfield provides a fantastic shopping and dining destination with elegant architecture wrapped around a historic town square.

the good and the bad
The advertisement says smoke free. It's not smoke free. In fact you can smell smoke and pot coming into your apartment from other apartments. It is pet friendly, very pet friendly. there are even doggie bag stations randomly placed throughout the complex. The downside is only maybe 50% of the dog owners use them, if that. Maintenance is top notch. You have an issue, you fill out the form on the app or call the office and it will get fixed asap. Management is fair and willing to listen to you. Be polite, they have to deal with a lot of crap. The washers/dryers in the first floor of the buildings are expensive and only work half the time. Management has nothing to do with it...they refer you to the company who owns the washers and dryers. You can rarely get anyone to answer the phone. as long as you don't need to speak to a person but are okay with texts and emails you shouldn't have a problem.
