Property Ratings at Pine Rock
As a junior - this is the best living situation I’ve had. I spent 2 years on campus and pine rock apartments are significantly nicer and newer than my previous arrangements. The private bedroom and bathroom are a massive upgrade over the dorm living.
this place is infested with rats, roaches, and spiders. nothing is really being done to fix it. they’ve change management a trillion times and it’ll probably happen again before halloween. nothing here is ever going to change, they need to just knock it down at the point.
Our garage was used as storage for our full lease term. We also had a repairs that we were told would get fixed before we moved in which we never fix throughout the entire lease term. They recently raised their prices and you can find much better!

Easy commute to campus and back. Also, very clean and updated place to live. Couldn’t ask for a better living experience going into my post-graduate career.

As a student, the pricing was what drew me into this apartment complex. The townhomes are infested with mice and bugs, and are also poorly built. Management is nice, but changes constantly. It is obvious that they wanted to help, but almost nothing was done. They will not handle disputes with roommates, despite any breaches of the lease (even when the police were called on them twice, one being for physical violence). When I felt unsafe in my own home (due to the mice and the roommate) they refused to address the situation. I had to reach out to upper management in order for the situation to be handled (3 months later), but I had to live in an unsafe environment for the remainder of my stay. It got to the point that my refrigerator had mice living in it (I saw them go inside of the back), and management refused to replace it (our stove was also full of mouse droppings). Please do not fall for the pricing!!!

Idk if they have new management now but I was an scsu student who lived here and they were awful. They will try to keep your security deposit for anything and do nothing to actually maintain the apartment when stuff happens.

This is by far the WORST property I’ve ever rented from. Management has no clue what they’re doing and will try to keep your security deposit unless you hunt them down. On top of this nothing gets fixed and their workers show up unannounced and enter as they please. If you value your living space do not move here.

Beware! Management is terrible. This property has gone through multiple management groups. They treat tenants and their properties poorly. Nothing will never get fix. Dust and spiders are all Over the units. Seriously, watch out because you’ll get paired with a roommate from hell.

They still have not paid back their security deposits and will not unless you harass them. We went without many furniture pieces for weeks at the beginning. They overcharge for everything. They have no idea how their own paying system works and hope you don't either so you end up overpaying, never telling you, and pocketing the cash. They are disrespectful and do not know what they were doing. Maintenance would show up at random hours unannounced and then would not fix anything. Over priced and poorly managed.
