From white-water rafting on the Cheat River to rock climbing at Coopers Rock to shopping for antiques, there's good reason Morgantown is the most popular destination in West Virginia -- add in West Virginia University and the reasons just become more impressive. Morgantown, situated along the Monongahela River, provides stunning views of the Appalachian Mountains -- especially from vantage points like Dorsey Knob. This park covers 71 acres, and the mountain is 1,398 feet high.
Considered a top-ranking research university, WVU was established in 1867 and features several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Residents of Morgantown can visit the university's Core Arboretum, which is free and open to the public. Residents can also cheer on the West Virginia Mountaineers at various sports events. The Mountaineers compete in NCAA Division I as part of the Big 12 Conference.

Property Ratings at Pinnacle Heights Apartments
I was recently looking for a home in Morgantown. Left multiple messages with the office and they never returned my call. SMH
Apartment walls are THIN and unless you are blessed with saints as neighbors, things will be rough. Parking is always a struggle and most neighbors are NOT friendly. Landlord is normally responsive but doesn't take action when a problem arises. Maintenance is very responsive but also very loud and doesn't take every problem seriously. Very overpriced for what you get, you could rent a house for a little more than what a 2 bedroom apartment costs. If you have any kind of health issues this Is not the place for you unfortunately. Also not a good place for small pets or children, there are dangerous dogs here that the owners don't always have control of. If you don't want to live in fear, I'd look for somewhere closer to Morgantown.
The management has been and still is sub-standard even for sub-standard apartments. Anyone living in Morgantown knows these are the cheapest apartments in the area. With that comes all the given neglect and dismissive attitude towards everyone living here no matter your situation. Expect to be treated like trash.
I don't say this lightly, the walls here are thin, I hear every footstep here from above and below, I hear every conversation from all surrounding 8 units, above, below, left, right and all 4 diagonals. And if there's music playing, everyone knows, and especially if your neighbors are promiscuous, you'll know. The old landlady would do nothing about anything, then we changed to go reality where everything went digital, a month later they merged with birgo, which is out of PA, so nothing was dealt with before but now there's even more of an excuse for them not to deal with anything because they're 2 hours away. Any dog breed goes here which I'd normally be fine with if it wasn't for the fact that there are people with aggressive dogs here that have attacked people, and the police always say it's on private property so I have to contact the landlord who does nothing about it but says they will. There's a pit bull that has tried to attack me twice and If it were a kid in my situation it could've ended in death, if you have children, don't risk it, if you enjoy piece and quiet or like sleep, don't move here, and if you expect your deposite back, I've never heard of a person who lived here getting it back so good luck.
Our dog is house-trained and we were one of the very few tenants who carried bags around and cleaned up after our dog on walks. After moving out, the landlord sent us invoices to replace the carpet because our "dog peed everywhere in the apartment." We never even wore our shoes on the carpet so to suggest we lived in our dog's non-existent filth is quite insulting. An upstairs neighbor had a toilet overflow last year and the water came into our apartment. We asked to have the carpet replaced at that time and we were told no. The landlord said the carpet was fine and did not need replaced. I can only guess our deposit went to replace that damage. After reading multiple reviews elsewhere, don't bother cleaning when you move out. You won't get your deposit money back anyway. Other annoyances: -The potholes in the parking lot are huge. -People driving in and out of the development go extremely fast. I am surprised no one has been hit. -Some of the decks/porches have garbage and rotting food on them. The landlord sends threatening letters about the mess but does nothing about it. -Most people do not clean up after their dogs. Watch where you walk. -Some people let their dogs run around without a leash. -The dumpster is always overflowing and garbage blows everywhere. -The walls are THIN. If your neighbors are smoking in their apartments (and they definitely do), your nice clean apartment is going to smell like cigarettes. And if your neighbors are running a daycare in their apartment, the children running around and slamming into walls are going to knock things off of your walls. -No salt on sidewalks or walkways in Winter. They also do not clean the walkways. You'll need to buy a shovel. -Minimal snow removal in Winter. Cars skidded into the ditch trying to leave the complex. -No assigned parking but Heaven help you if you take someone else's space. People will put furniture in parking spaces to save their space during the day. -There were house centipedes and millipedes in our unit. -The dryer vent was not connected to anything. The only positive about this place was the location. There were really nice views and it is close to shopping areas. I would still highly recommend living somewhere else if you take care of your things, want little noise, and want to be treated with any respect.
The apartments themselves are not bad but they are bland and small. It's around about eight to nine hundred square feet. Very small for even a family of two unless you both plan on have very little in the apartment. There are one and Two bedroom apartments but the ceilings are really low in the two bedrooms and really high in the one bedroom. The land lady is also very hard to get a hold of if you have a problem. You would be better off spending the money to fix the problem and take it off the rent.
These apartments were everything and more that I was looking for. Open floor plan and 3 decks on the 2 bedroom apartments. More space n storage than any apartment I looked at! Truly amazing.
Very nice and reasonable apartments in Morgantown. One of the few apartments that are pet friendly. Location is very close to hospitals, restaurants and interstate accesses. Nice size decks with the apartments. The only downfall is the keep up of the roads. The pot holes haven't been fixed since I moved in 5 months.
