Bordered by the Rio Grande and the Mexican border, Mission is one of four towns that make up the border county of Hildago. Considered one of the nation's fastest-growing cities, Mission is a major citrus producer -- it is even nicknamed the "Home of the Ruby Red Grapefruit." It is also home to the Texas Citrus Exchange and the Texas Citrus Fiesta Parade.
Mission provides some fantastic parks. Anzalduas Park, located along a bend in the Rio Grande, covers 96 acres and is a bird sanctuary. It also features a playground and picnic areas. With Mexico just four miles away, residents can cross into the country via the Anzalduas International Bridge to visit the city of Reynosa. Other destinations in Mission include the World Birding Center, the National Butterfly Center, the Mission Historical Museum, Shary Municipal Golf Course, and Mountain Bike Park.

Property Ratings at Plantation Apartments
This has been the worst apartment experience of my life, if you plan on moving in be prepared to never get any of your maintenance requests fixed. My closet, which is a wire shelf screwed into the walls. Fell down on December 21st 2022. It is now January 25th 2023, over a month since l've sent in multiple request to have it put back up. When I first sent in the request and called to check on any updates the front office lady told me over the phone that the maintenance people were trying to fix the A/C units for the upcoming cold weather for other apartment units, and that those requests were more important than ours. Unfortunately I did have to spend some of my own money to put up a temporary clothing rack because I can't have my clean clothes all over my apartment. Now recently our A/C has stopped working and l've sent in a request to have someone come in and fix it, I reminded the front office that our closet still hasn't gotten fixed and of course we got the excuse that there was no "A/C maintenance person employed at the moment" but that she would hire someone to come in and fix it. Keep in mind the apartment gets uncomfortably hot during the day and I'm forced to leave my windows open just for some fresh air, also jeopardizing my safety. It feels inhumane and stressful that have to live under these circumstances with the amount of rent money I pay a month. 100% recommend anyone who is interested in applying for these apartments to look somewhere else.
Trash is left. Never picked up. The pool is green. Grass is dead. I don’t think the management staff has ever walked around the property to see how bad it is. Don’t move here. This place has turned to crap since RREAF took over. They can’t maintain staff so everything has gone completely downhill, fast.

We are so happy to hear that your family is loving our community. Thank you for praising our staff by saying how attentive and professional they are! Thanks for the 5-stars!
I am the ex-tenant, and I am beyond furious because of this apartment's false credit reporting. 1) I moved out on 2021 June 1st, and on June 5th I was charged 286.22 USD for cleaning, repair, paint touch ups, etc 2) On 2021 June 12th, I visited the office in person and paid 286.22 USD in full, with a money order I purchased in Walmart. (* I have all the receipts) 3) On 2021 June 16th, just after 4 days I handed over the money order, the money order was cashed by the apartment office. (* Confirmed with Moneygram website : check my money order status) 4) On 2021 June 24th, I logged in to my Plantation Apt online account to check if my payment was reflected, but my online account kept indicating that 286.22 USD balance was still due for payment. Therefore, on the very same day I called the plantation apt office immediately to express my concern, and an office staff named Nat** picked up the phone (* I have the call log). The office staff reassured me that the payment was successfully made, and told me not to worry because it was probably because the online account usually takes some time to update. So I dropped my worries and went on with my life. 5) Just recently on 2021 September 23rd, I checked my Experian credit report because I happened to get denied eligibility for opening up a new savings account. And to my absolute disgust I found out that the Plantation Apt has handed over the 286 USD to a debt collection as if I never made the payment, regardless of the fact that I have already paid the full amount back in June. Now I ended up with a wrongfully opened overdue collection account, and without a doubt it is hurting my credit history. (* I have my credit report as the evidence) To sum it up, the office team happily cashed my money order, but neglected their duty to clear the balance. Now I am falsely accused of not paying my debt for the past several months. As I mentioned earlier, I even called the office once to make sure that my payment went through, and they reassured me like everything will be okay, but now I ended up with a bad credit report. I reached out the to the office team to demand correction of their error, and I am currently waiting for their response.
Horrible service all around and trust me you WILL lose your deposit and they will charge you every tiny thing regardless if it was there before you. Also, they spiked prices up by 70-90 dollars. Don’t do it.
I rented an apartment and was careful to document and take pictures of everything that was damaged, broken or otherwise in poor shape, I even filled out a form when I moved in and submitted that to the head office. Sadly, I had to move out 3 months later as my business slowed down considerably due to COVID, and I paid the late termination fee on the lease and one month extra just for good measure. Fair enough? Apparently not. The new management decided they did not want to return my security deposit and charged me for the damaged floor, broken microwave door and paint chips which I took pictures of and reported before I moved in. It has been almost 4 months now since I have been speaking with Natti and now with Jennifer (Manager) I have been very polite and respectful to everyone to try and get this resolved but no one has returned my calls or responded to my emails. I’m not going to keep wasting my time trying to get my money back, I should have taken the negative reviews here more seriously. I run a small business too and you can only do these kinds of things so many times before you lose your customers and word of mouth spreads. Overall, I’m not angry with Plantation Apartments, just disappointed with the management for not doing the right thing. Proverbs 13:11 “Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished”
The office and maintenance staff are friendly and always ready to assist. The apartments are well designed. Apartments are always well maintained. Highly recommend them!!!!
We moved in December 1st and have had absolutely no problems!!! You can’t hear your neighbors, which is a HUGE plus!!! Great place for the price!! Washer and dryer plus a dishwasher!!! Balcony is awesome plus it has a small storage closet. We love it here!!
Pesimo servicio para el precio que cobran, escasa iluminacion, banquetas sucias , telaranas en los pocos focos que funcionan, agua verde de la alberca, barandales ya podridos y despintados.
I submitted an application with them and while filling it out the representative told me to put down any felonies if I had any, which I don't, and the company that does the background checks said that I had a felony which I don't, what they found was that i was caught with brass knuckles in my car(which are now legal) and that was a misdemeanor not a felony, and now that they dont want to approve me they said i can't get the $50 refund because I "lied" on my application, and the only way I could qualify for a refund is if I fixed something else on my history which has nothing to do with the misdemeanor, I followed what there own employees told me to fill out and now they're going to nickle and dime me over something so simple
not worth the price tag, for what you're paying their are far better options.

Real bad management team. They change employees faster then you get a chance to remember their Names. They always give you the runaround and it’s unnerving going in to talk to them, they don’t seem to even enjoy what they are doing. It’s pricey living here and we thought with the amount of money we are paying that we wouldn’t have any problems but it’s quite the opposite. My neighbors show the same dissatisfaction which is why everyone is leaving, they call and ask if you want to resign and when you say no they just start getting pushy and pushy, worse then shoe salesmen. The owners of the properties should be embarrassed of what they got going on in this complex.
We liked The Plantation better than other apartment we viewed. However bad first impression and condensing feelings were huge selection factors. No smile, rapport and did not make us feel welcomed. Such feelings were supported by actions; we were not shown any of The Plantations amenities and made to walk too apartments. I asked if a golf cart was available to the office. The response was, “The maintenance people just picked up the golf cart and I do not want to….” I did not understanding the ending because the employee trailed of and turned away before finishing the sentence. I told my wife, “maintenance is more important than a customer, point taken.” As we “walked back to the office, the “employee” finally made an attempt at creating a rapport. There was a “guy” who did not introduce himself; came across as arrogant and condensing. I believe we were stereotyped as possibly viewed that we could not afford to live at The Plantation; too bad, so sad. Though the employees were fully not aware of any of our conditions, they should not assume anything and not be selective with treatment of possible tenants. Consequently, we have decided to rent from a competitor within one half mile of The Plantation.
