Property Ratings at Aspire at Gateway
We just move in my wife and I and the move in process was so smooth, everything was done on line, day of move in we just had to pick up the keys, went smoothly the staff is great and friendly. Our apartment is cozy and we are accessible to everything, shops, and the beaches. I would highly recommend it. B. Huffman
While I love my apartment, and the amenities, this place needs better management. The front office hardly picks up the phone, it may be getting better now but is still awful. Anytime you complain about another tenant who is noisy or took your reserved parking spot, they don't take your complaints seriously. Maintenance can take up to a week for routine requests! Lately, the grounds have lots of trash and aren't kept. There are not enough speed bumps throughout the property. People are always speeding like it's nascar. It's a decent place to live, not bad, but management needs to be diligent about complaints. People live here, it's not a restaurant!

On my move-in date(today), I discovered that roaches had already moved in. I moved in at 5pm and moved out at 8pm when I found 7 roaches within that time period. 2 dead and five live roaches and it wasn’t the big ones. I called maintenance and Jessie the manager called me saying that she was sorry. That she would contact pest control on Monday to schedule them to come out. It’s Saturday. I asked if they could come now. She said no, that they aren’t open on the weekend. So, I asked if she was going to have them come ASAP on Monday. She said no, that she would call to have them scheduled to come out the following week. I asked if I could be moved to a different apartment. She said no other apartments are available and that was my apartment which was a lie because other apartments are available on their website. I drove 13 hours to walk into a roach infested apartment and she did not care. My kid is devastated because she was so excited to move to Florida and now I’m gonna have to pay my movers to move my stuff right back. I’m gonna have to paid double including a hotel room for tonight. What a lot of wasted time, money, due to their lack of consideration. Additionally, the carpet was stained which they stated would be cleaned the Monday after I moved in and the tubs would be redone the Tuesday after I moved in. Why this was not done before my move in date? I do not know. I would stay away unless you want to live with roaches, in particular apartment #M202. I have pictures and video.

I wish there were negative ratings for how disgusting this place is. Six weeks ago, I lived here for about 45 minutes. As soon as I walked through the door after signing the lease, I was stepping on dead roaches . The roach infestation was absolutely disgusting.. alive, dead, coming out of the walls, inside the dishwasher and refrigerator. I only wish I could post video clips here. The apartment was back on the market within a day and leased again in less than a week. Those poor people.

I worked with Carri over the phone to lease site-unseen, as I was moving in from out-of-state. She was timely and helpful with the whole process, making sure that everything was completed with no surprises on arrival. I had a few questions about the specific unit which Carri personally checked out and confirmed. When I moved in, I received a warm welcome and further assistance to get myself situated in a new area. The apartment itself was in great condition with a fresh cleaning. I've lived in 30 apartment/condos in 7 states and 8 countries. All of them have minor issues with the unit or tenants at some point or another. This has started off well and I trust Carri and the team will be there, if needed.

YES
It is well maintained. Landscape and buildings are visually appealing. Peaceful complex.
I had to move out early and payed the termination fee, but they double charged me and sent my account to collections. now my credit is wrecked. I have been trying to get them to fix it for over 6 months
We have lived here for 6+ years and we like it! So we would recommend it!
I would definitely recommend this apartment..i love it here nice quite an comfortable.
I do not like the parcel management company that is used. I would prefer onsite lockers for deliveries. Requesting pest control is confusing as well. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do.
If you have more than one car in your house hold good luck getting parking. They assign you one spot and if it happens to be a carport you have to pay to park there. Our electric bill has been over 300 dollars each month. The apartment also does reach the desired temperature (76). We were informed just because it doesn't reach a temperature we are comfortable with does not mean it's not working. They look at it and say it's fine instead of trying to figure out the issue. Overall this place is not worth it. Don't waste you time here! There are new apartments being built around that are way better!
If I could give zero stars I would. The office never answers the phone and won't call you back. After moving out I called the office 4 times to resolve final payment of the utility bill but I never got a call back. I received no written notice that the bill was going to collections yet weeks later I got a collection notice. I called the office to find out why this had happened as I am understandably upset. However the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and instead of apologizing all he had to say was " it's not my fault". Just lovely. If you move here, don't have any expectations of the staff because they just don't care.
Love the outdoors, wildlife, lakes, construction of buildings, available services and general location.
I'm unsure of recommending this apartment complex aince I have had many issues since I moved in last Nov. Including my mailbox lock being broken 3 times, a dent on the dryer after its vent was fixed and a flood in my bedroom after faucet in bathtub was fixed.
Trash left outside neighbors’ doors, trash frequently piled up at dumpster creating a terrible eYESore for anyone around that half of the community, no functioning gym (and no appropriate credit) for about a year now, a sand volleyball court that isn’t usable due to dangerous roots, a sagging net and the easy loss of volleyballs into the pond. A new gym has been built but the complex wants to wait weeks/months longer for an upgraded security system and new doors...oh and TVs...The doors lock just fine, we don’t need TVs for the gym to be made available to us and I am quite certain that just about any security system could be put in place...the gym has basically been finished for a month and we still don’t have access to it. This simple $56k renovation was talked about in Dec 2018 and we are almost to September with no gym to use. Complete homes and apartment communities have been built faster than this.
Office personnel are nice, but I hate that the trash is often overflowing and makes the community look bad.
It's a very convenient and inexpensive community, seems relatively safe, and is pet friendly. I would definitely recommend the complex to friends.
I will recommend the complex as we love it. However, the maintenance was only partially completed and still needs to be completed today.
Overall community is great. Price of apartment was high especially for one that was not upgraded.
The office personnel are amazing, the quality of the apartment and the appliances is great, and the price is very efficient for the quality you get.
My service request never was completed and still and issue.
8 out of 10 due to kids playing in the road and drawing on people's cars. Parking is a problem due to amount of space.
The rent is acceptable, but the main reason would be the staff. They seem truly interested in us & offer any help that we need.
The gym is stinky, hot, and the equipments are old. The weights machine is not functioning properly.
I first moved into a 1 bedroom a year and a half ago and that went great. We decided to move to a two bedroom and that is when the problems started. We moved 2 buildings over in the same complex because we like the complex and the office staff. I would recommend the complex for new people but if that ask me about transferring to a different apartment that is when I you worn.
Based on interaction with leasing professional, the tour of the available units and their prompt follow-up response.
I hope this review isn't deleted like my last. I feel like all the reviews are phony. I spent 8 months without a functioning dishwasher. My washer and dryer both stopped working and were replaced with filthy used ones that didn't work much better, and my AC has quit twice. The last time it quit was December and instead of fixing the issue they left a note stating that you should not put the AC lower than outside because it will freeze. AC should not freeze unless something is broken. And when it's 99 outside, I'm not gonna set my AC to 100. They have been terrible to me, and again, I hope this review isn't also deleted.
This apartment is absolutely fantastic and full of amenities beyond my necessary needs. Everybody is quick and friendly to responding to any requests or issues that may arise.
I would recommend it based on the location. it is a quiet neighbor and people are friendly. there have been occasional problems but nothing serious or long term.
Respectful office they listen to needs Maintenence is in a timely manner average rent for area and it's close to shopping
I moved back in here. I can’t give a better way of saying why I would tell my friends to move here then that. Plus it’s so peaceful.
Im new to this apt complex but as of now i love it!! I only have one issue that needs taken care of and that is of the dog poop that residents are not taking care of this MUST BE ADDRESSED ASAP!
From the time we moved in, the apartment hadn't been ready for move in. Our requests and move in check off list was turned in on the 22 of October and we finally got most of the repairs done last week. The delay was unacceptable.
I previously lived at Plantatio Gardens years ago and nothing has changed except the exterior building paint job. The apartments are in need of updates/renovations.
Jamie was wonderful, she spent a lot of time with me and was very patient answering all my questions. I felt very comfortable leaving there with the decision I made!!! Thank you Jamie
This time here was good and the pool is great! I lived in a 3 bedroom apartment and the rent was good.
Location, apartment size, the guy from adm are a plus. Dirty hallways, deplorable gym, bad neighbors and safety concerns are the deal breaker
Your representatives are warm, friendly, personable! I expressed some concerns about the paperwork process and they put my mind at easy. They were able to immediately answer my questions. We are looking forward to making Plantation Gardens our new home for the next few years while we settle into this area and prepare to buy a home.
I have been living in my apartment for almost 4 years now. I have paid my rent on time each month and generally keep to myself. I've always felt the rent was little pricey, but the location is good and pretty central to most things you will need. The staff have always been very nice to me whenever they have seen me. Unfortunately it is easy to overlook these things once you sign a lease and you start seeing some of the other "true" colors. If nothing goes wrong in your apartment (i.e. A/C leaking, oven stops working, water heater not working, etc...) then you will be fine as long as you pay your rent on time. Let's be honest though - things are going to happen. Once they do they are slow as molasses to get the problem fixed. The staff at the front was always very friendly, but that didn't do me any good when my A/C was leaking and making all the carpet extremely wet. I tried to not run the A/C as much, but unfortunately you don't have much choice in 90ish degree Florida heat. All the leaking was starting to cause mildew smell in the apartment as well. I did my best to dry it up with fans and towels, but without fixing the actual problem there was little I could do. It is also rather sad that the apartment does little for the community like little get together or community events. And usually when they do plan a get together it is last minute and with little advance notice. The final thing that really upset me and made me finally want to voice my opinion is how uncooperative they are when you need to move out. My decision to renew was coming due by the end of February. My lease expires in April. My two children still needed to finish school. A 2 month lease was almost $450/mo MORE than a regular 12 month lease. Month to Month was closer to $500 MORE than the regular rent. I went and spoke with the staff and I was told "I know they have usually worked with people in these situations... we will let you know". Well I got my answer - They want the $450 more in rent. Unfortunately I cannot afford that and they do not care. So now I am stuck with trying to come up with another solution. So in my opinion they are really more about presenting you a pretty image of a nice and safe environment so you can get roped in and start paying.
I am recently a new apartment renter. After owning a home and going through a divorce, the thought of renting an apartment was overwhelming. So overwhelming that I was physically sick having to go inside. I stumbled across apartments.com and it helped me and I knew of Plantation Gardens from living right around the corner and when I went there, Carol was so kind and helpful. She showed me the apartment several times and was super patient with me. I moved in recently with nothing and while this is the first time I have been alone it has been a tough transition for me and my daughters. I am hoping for a smooth transition. The apartment is warm and welcoming with new upgrades and I am looking forward to making it my own. It is close to where my girls are staying with their dad. Carol has been so helpful to me and I am thankful for her. I am looking forward to enjoying the pool and gym. My daughters are excited about the sand volleyball court as they play volleyball in school. I am looking forward to starting the next chapter of my life at Plantation Gardens. Heather F. Pinellas Park, FL
This is the perfect locality if you need a place with peace of mind. Maintenance facility is very quick and it takes less than a day to get things repaired. Postal service is very quick and they also have a facility of security locker for big items. They have tie ups with Internet providers and line is inbuilt which make the home wire free for internet installations. 5 minutes from Largo, 15 minutes from Tampa on one side and St Petes Downtown on the other. Joined with US 19 hwy and has direct bus connectivity for US 19 (every 20 mins). 1 mile away from winn dixie (for grocery). 3-4 miles away from Walmart Super center. Gated community and gate has a phone, special numbers are provided for visitors to call (links to your mobile phone) and approve gate entry. But gates are closed only after 7 pm at night. Society has gym, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Shaded parking area. Lake and pet area. The society is very clean. Disadvantages - Must have a car - nearest grocery store is 1 mile away. Trash is located at one location, you may need to walk a bit to throw trash. Apartments near the lake are expensive and may have disturbance of tortoise sounds, etc at night. If you are having your office in St. Petes main then it would be far from here.
We have been living here for three weeks and we are super Happy. We asked for some handicapp items to be installed and the maintenance personnel were here first thing the next morning. Everyone in the office is so nice and willing to assist. I recommend anyone to come and check out plantation gardens.
Plantation Gardens is an ideal location. Close to US 19 and I275, it's very conveniently located. The managers are nice, maintenance crew are very professional. A little pricey for units that haven't been renovated, but nice neighbors and good space. Have lived here for a number of years and never feel unsafe or had a problem with neighbors.
This is a good apartment complex, they have nice pool area with a hot tub, lounge chairs and dining tables. They also have a gym, tennis court and playground area, it's very family friendly. It also located right off the interstate, so it close to shopping areas. Being between St. Pete and Clearwater provides plenty of things to see and do, and Tampa is right across the bridge.
Very pleased with what this apartment complex has to offer... remodeled kitchen, ceiling fans, sliding glass doors leading to the patio and a view of the pond (otters and turtles included). I also appreciate the pool and fitness center, which is equipped with brand new cardio equipment! Staff at the leasing center are friendly and competent. I am happy to call Plantation Gardens home.
Carol was fantastic giving us a tour of the property and very helpful. I have lived there since October of 2014 and plan on renewing my lease in November. Maintenance is fast and great at their jobs. I love my apartment!
Great apartment community. Staff very friendly and are always ready to help you when you need it. Beautiful landscape all over the complex. The apartments are very roomy and have a nice flow to it.
