Very nice community with people from all ages, and they have a very responsive team. The apartments are new. The only caveat is that coffee machine is down half of the time.

Good overall living situation. A bit noisier than expected and the coffee and seltzer machines are down often. People are pretty friendly and the unit common areas are kept in pristine condition

I absolutely adore my place! It’s so chic and modern. The process of moving in was very simple. The staff is super communicative. I definitely recommend platform!

I’ve really enjoyed living at Platform Apartments! The staff here are incredibly friendly and always communicate well, which makes a big difference. They also host fun and interactive games and events to keep the residents engaged—such a nice touch! The location is fantastic, with stores just a short walk away and the metro only about 7 minutes walking distance—super convenient for commuting. My only minor complaint is that the building isn’t very soundproof, so I can hear my surroundings at times. Fortunately, my neighbors are respectful, so it hasn’t been an issue for me. Overall, this is a great place to live!

The platform is a great place to live! We have been here for a year and a half now and love the Amenities and the staff is also so friendly!

So far everything is pretty great. It’s quite for the most part, there’s actual community it not just a complex. I do dislike how hard some of the neighbors slam their doors, it can be annoying. But outside of that I’ve had no issues.

The Platform is a great community! The leasing/management staff has been very friendly and maintenance has been prompt in responding to any of our needs. The amenities are very well maintained and residents have respect for the areas. It's also a nice touch that there are resident events fairly frequently. Additionally, we love the neighborhood and is well within walking distance to King Street for all the community events. The only downside is the noise. It's not too bad considering you're right next to the metro and train tracks, but you certainly hear them depending on your unit location. We have not had anyone living above us at the time of this review but our we do not hear our neighbors next to us much. Overall would highly recommend this community!

Platform was my first ever apartment and now being my second ever apartment, I’m proud to call platform my home.

I have lived at Platform Alexandria for 3 years now and have loved my experience. The front office is very friendly, maintenance is quick to resolve requests, and my apartment has been comfortable. The staff plan fun events throughout every month, many of which I have attended. The staff have provided me opportunities to meet other residents and have been great to get to know.

Amenities are good and maintenance is great. Apartments upon looking are nice. There are issues in the build of the apartments. Walls crack HORRIBLY and we have had issues with ants and fruit flies throughout the season. The floors are like paper and we’ve gotten complains from our downstairs neighbors just by walking. We can’t live normally or walk normally in our own home. Our neighbors have the same issue. These have been the biggest issues living here, especially with the price point of what we pay to live here. Overall though we’re satisfied

Our resident experience has been absolutely fantastic! The management team is always friendly, responsive, and quick to address any questions or requests. The property itself is clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable living environment. The shared spaces are beautifully kept and create great opportunities for residents to connect with each other. The surrounding area is safe and convenient, which has made living here even more enjoyable. We are truly happy we chose this property!

Great staff and community. They do an amazing job keeping the complex clean. They staff is always prepared and keeps everyone informed of any and all information.

We’ve loved living here since 2021. Maintenance has always been extremely fast to resolve any issues. We would love to rate it 5 stars but the building continues to have security issues especially with the garage door being broken often.

So glad we found Platform when we did. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amber, Tamara, Kevin, and the front office staff. They take extra care to make sure all their residents feel proud to call the Platform home.

My first year was amazing! Incredibly clean, good tenants. This year feels different, sadly. The elevators are often dirty, the package room is a mess. Tenants don’t feel like they’ve been vetted.

As a recent resident to the platform community I have to say I’m loving my space here and the amenities to offer. Courteous on sight staff and maintenance team.

I enjoy living at Platform! It is a prime location with great staff, nicely appointed apartments with stellar views from most apartments. Close to airport, metro, shops, and nightlife. Love the dog friendly atmosphere, coworking spaces and clean buildings. Pretty quiet and lowkey but has nice events to get you out of the house!

I made a review in June on a separate forum detailing a less-than-stellar time with Platform as I approach three years as a tenant. Platform recommended I call their office if I had any problems. On two occasions, I have called their number and never received a call back. The first occurred after a downstairs neighbor was slamming doors in the early morning hours, forcing an all-nighter. The second instance happened after a fire alarm went off in my building during business hours. Not only did I call the office, but another resident and myself went to the office shortly after 9 a.m. only to find the lights were off and the door was locked. Furthermore, my upstairs neighbor continues to stomp at all hours of the day, despite Platform being aware of the matter. I have given up on Platform addressing this situation because, frankly, I doubt they care. I haven't even gotten to how service crews damaged a door frame and pestered me about following one of them on Spotify.

I’ve the monthly events, level of community even across buildings, and the management not only super friendly but also very responsive and accommodating. Four months in and I am still happy with my decision.

Overpriced units and parking. Better specials for renewals. More monthly events. Better patrol of garage parking in towing unauthorized cars. Better monitoring of 2 hour parking between buildings and towing enforced. Stop overnight parking w/o permit in front of building 4 and between buildings 3 and 4. Overnight concierge do more than fall asleep and glued to computer. Get up walk around. Identify infractions and place warnings or call towing.

Staff are very responsive and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure a great resident experience. All of our maintenance requests have been completed within 48 hours.

The acoustics is horrible; from hearing when your neighbors snoring, heavy walking, sneezing, talking and urinating. The amenities, community activities, walking distance to shopping, train station and close access to interstate is a plus.

The Platform complex is a wonderful place to live. I have been here for close to 3 years and I enjoy living here. Well designed, located in a great area, very clean and safe. Everyone who runs this place is awesome and provides amazing customer service.

The apartments are nice, though you can hear your upstairs neighbor stomping around. Maintenance staff is wonderful. Leasing office communication needs improvement.

I love the community we've built here at Platform. I never been this close to any of my neighbors and consider them true friends.

Great complex with helpful staff. Have had no issues with anything. Residents are friendly and there is a sense of community. Best apartment complex I’ve lived in, across many different cities, by far.

Renewal of lease was a nightmare. I don’t even want to think about anymore. The location is great and apartment is beautiful. Convenient location

The amenities (pool, gym, clubhouse) are resort-like and we enjoy the activities. Wendell is a friendly face greeting you from the concierge desk every day. We also love the maintenance team, led by Keith. In the apartments, the kitchens and bathrooms are outfitted with really nice cabinetry and appliances. The only room for improvement is minor (the A/C isn’t always on in the hallways; sometimes comms could give you an earlier head’s up if something is happening like fire alarm testing, which scares the dogs). We would recommend the complex to our friends, especially building 1 which has the full time concierge.

Renewed my lease because I like it so much. Such a convenient location and nice amenities! Looking forward to another year here at Platform.

Rent at your own risk. Know that management is slow to respond and slow to take any action if any at all. Know that your concerns are shared by many and have been routinely reported with no action by management. Great location for public transportation. Easy access to Old Town.

Platform’s incredible staff is what truly sets it apart from the other amenity buildings in the area. Kevin, Amber, and the entire front office staff treat you like human beings, not line items in a spreadsheet like other buildings we toured in the area. Highly recommend calling the Platform your next home.

Love it here! Looked forward to move here for a lot time and we don’t regret it. A bit annoyed about the parking situation, but otherwise so happy and excited for the next year or so.

I’ve lived at the Platform for a little over 2 years and love it here! Amenities are awesome, location is great for those who don’t have a car since restaurants are within walking distance and the metro and buses are just a short walk away to get to other further places like DC and Arlington. I’ve never had an issue with pests, leakage, missing mail/packages which is fantastic! The leasing, concierge, cleaning and maintenance staff are nice and friendly too. I feel safe in and around the buildings and would recommend the place. The price is worth it here!

Prime location. Very expensive apartments with very expensive parking. Office staff are nice, maintenance staff are great. The people are... people. Lots of dogs, most of them great, but not all, and quite a few careless dog owners.

Platform is a great community! From the resident events, outstanding amenities (fitness center, coworking lounge/offices, dog park/spa, and so much more), professional leasing team, streamlined application/resident portal and proximity to the Braddock Metro - this is a modern professional’s ideal living space!

Looking great so far!! Easy move in process and loving the location so far. The apartment is in great condition minor a few bumps and dings, but overall it’s so nice that the building is only a few years old. You can tell!

I still love my apartment at Platform but I do feel a few things have changed since I moved in. While it is something none other than those who are guilty can change, there has been a distinct drop in the respect people show to the building a community. Dog urine in elevators, trash left in main areas, packages left in the post rooms for weeks— it’s disheartening. The second is something I hope can be changed- building 3 used to have a lovely diffuser in the main lobby that has since either run out or disappeared. It felt like you lived in luxury! Please bring it back.

Tamera, Bailey, and the rest of the leasing office team made the first day moving in incredibly easy. The facilities are fabulous, and it’s in a great location. I’m extremely satisfied with the community and the staff.

Living in Platform provides a lot of benefits including a walkable METRO station, buildings that are only a few years old as well as many community features such as pools, gyms, a co-working space and other community areas. The only thing I would say is that if you are very sensitive to noise, pay for the top floor units. These apartments have hard floors and if you have an upstairs neighbor, you are pretty much at their mercy since they would have to get their own rugs or make changes to their habits to make less noise for people below

Platform is a wonderful place to live. The apartment and amenities are all great, the community and neighborhood itself is great. The staff is excellent, including maintenance, and of course Wendell, the smiling face of Platform.

Good community, great amenities, friendly staff, convenient location, quiet neighbors, overall a great living experience thus far. I would like to see more areas for bikes/ potentially have communal bike pumps but otherwise no complaints one month in.

I’ve been a resident of Platform since it first opened. I’ve lived throughout the United States, but the experience I’ve had while living here far exceeded my expectations. The Platform team has been nothing but exceptional and Wendell has always been available to answer and all questions I might have. I highly recommend Platform if you’re searching for a place to stay in Alexandria.

Perfect living community. Friendly staff. The biggest takeaway for me is the entire property is constantly being cleaned and taken care of which makes a big different.

We love how friendly the staff are and how clean and beautiful the common spaces are. Everyone in the community respects the property. Plus, the gym is great!

Platform Alexandria is a great new community and the resident activities is a great way to connect with neighbors. Would definitely recommend.
