Just northeast of the Mystic River lies Malden Center, an idyllic suburban refuge from Boston's urban hub. Bloomberg Businessweek once named Malden the "best place to raise your kids," highlighting the safe streets and renowned schools that characterize the area.
Malden Center boasts a slew of unique charms, from the historic character of its buildings to its peaceful, tree-lined boulevards. Neighborhood residents enjoy a small-town feel along with access to numerous scenic parks.
Connected to Downtown Boston by both commuter and subway routes, Malden Center proves to be a wise choice for many commuters looking for a peaceful environment to settle down in without sacrificing convenience to all that Greater Boston has to offer.

Property Ratings at Pleasant Plaza
Roaches all over the place and trash piles up on the weekend. Management is rude and becomes upset when you ask them to have someone treat your apartment for roaches. IT IS DISGUSTING!!! Pay extra and live someplace cleaner!
Have been waiting for more than 3 months for the deposit and it is still pending. No reason no make-up plan but just waiting. Really ridiculous.
they have ROACHES in the building and the problem has only become worse in last year. Even after complaining so many times and their checks and fixes, its only increasing. Maintenance generally is fine, but the office is pretty non responsive . NO one picks up phones or replies to emails. Lifts break too often. Dont be fooled by free heat and AC. They only turn the AC on from Mid June to Beginning of Sep. Its becomes so hot in May and is so hot till late Sep/Oct and you have to roast in heat. Also, although heat is included, be prepared to get a high (4X) bill for Dec/Jan
I wish there could be options for 0 star. We were living in a 2b2b that was just refurbished before we moved in and the unit looked clean. However we started to see cockroaches and mouse a few month later and it has since been there all the time. I believe the whole building is infested as other residents had similar complaints. The management was inattentive to our requests, from broken elevator to broken washer/driers. During the covid lock down, the leasing office decided to close and we could not reach them. The most terrible experience we've ever had with an apartment building. Do not live here.
Lived here for 3 yrs in two different apartments. First apartment, midway through the lease, the management installed a fan on the roof above our house that made it sound like the stove exhaust was on at high ALL THE TIME. Despite repeated complaints, they refused to do anything about it and did not even apologize. We were not in a position to move so we shifted to a more expensive apartment on a lower floor. Within the first couple of months we found that there were mice in the house. We complained to the management but they didn’t do much about it (only placed some sticky traps) and suggested that somehow this was out fault since no one else had mice. I started asking our neighbors and friends and found that almost everyone had experienced rodents. I finally bought a video cam to find out the hole in the kitchen the mice were coming from and got it blocked. Moreover, the ceilings are very thin, and you can easily here the noise from your upstairs neighbors. I would say this: PLEASE have less starbucks a month and pay a couple of hundred more for a decent place. Do not subject your family to the torture of living here.
Its not worth staying here for such a high price and sharing only one lift for more than 120 apartments with above 300 residents. More over the lift goes dead every few days and if you are with some luggages or an elderly parent or a baby or health issue you are out of choice you need to go to hotel to stay.
At first this was on acceptable apartment, but 1 of the 2 elevators has been out of service for nearly 1 year, now the second has been broken on and off for the past 2 weeks, lack of urgency to fix, this is a huge safety issue! There are issues with rodent infestations, they won't allow residents to turn on a/c until everyone is boiling. I'm moving out gladly next month. I do not recommend! For the price they are charging, the place is a dump, when nearby apartments are new, clean, and in working order, around same price.
Nice, large apartments. Friendly staff. New fitness center with child's play area which is really thoughtful. Reasonable rents, especially for Malden and just 5 minute walk to Malden T station. Garage parking is just $75/month. Property is starting to do some apartment upgrades just hope it doesn't raise rent too high. Best value in Malden.
